Elijah Walker Bagwell, a master machinist renowned for his exceptional skills and unwavering dedication to his craft, has passed away. He will be remembered as a loving man whose absence leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him. Elijah was born in Pickens County on August 13, 1937, to his father Elijah Walker Bagwell Sr. and mother Letha May Bagwell.

Elijah's career as a machinist was nothing short of remarkable. His prowess in the field earned him a reputation for precision and excellence. With each project he undertook, Elijah brought ingenuity and expertise, crafting intricate machinery with finesse. His contributions to the industry were invaluable, and his legacy as a master machinist will continue to inspire future generations.

In addition to his professional achievements, Elijah had a deep love for his family and friends. After serving his country in the Navy for four years, including during the Bay of the Pig standoff, he returned home to build a life surrounded by those he held closest to his heart.

Outside of work, Elijah found solace and joy in pursuing his hobbies. Woodworking became a cherished pastime for him, allowing him to create intricate pieces that showcased his attention to detail and craftsmanship. When he cast his line into the water while fishing, he found peace in nature's embrace.

Elijah is survived by Melba Ann Bagwell, his beloved wife of 33 years, who stood steadfastly by his side through thick and thin. Their union exemplified unwavering devotion and love that served as an inspiration to all who knew them.

His memory lives on through Mitchell Wayne Bagwell (Linda) of Alabama, his son; Tina Marie White (David) of Florida, his daughter; Susan Rachel Dupree (Brian Bergeron) of Florida, step-daughter; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Elijah's presence touched their lives deeply and they are forever grateful for the wisdom, love, and guidance he imparted to them.

Kimberly Allison Bagwell

F, b. 9 September 1976, d. 1 August 2023
Kimberly Allison Bagwell was born on 9 September 1976 in Amarillo, Texas. She was the daughter of Paul Wesley Bagwell and Beth Annette Ochsner. As of 15 July 2000,her married name was Peet. Kimberly Allison Bagwell married Tracy Rand Peet on 15 July 2000 at Randall County, Texas. Kimberly Allison Bagwell died on 1 August 2023 in Pampa, Gray County, Texas, at age 46

Kimberly Allison Peet, 46, of Pampa, Texas, finished her race with head held high, a beautiful smile on her face, fighting hard until the bitter end, and won the victory as she is now sitting in awe of her Lord and Savior! No longer in pain and completely free from any cancer, she took Jesus' hand when He reached for her on Tuesday evening, August 1, 2023, while surrounded by family and went Home. Kimberly made her grand entrance into this life on September 9, 1976, in Amarillo, Texas to Jacob Allison Grubb and Beth Ochsner Bagwell.
After graduating from Amarillo High in 1995, Kim attended and graduated from Texas Tech with a master's degree in Allied Health in 2002. In the midst of all this, she married her best friend and rock, Tracy Peet on July 15, 2000. Following her graduation, they moved to Pampa where she began working as an occupational therapist for Pampa Regional Medical Center as well as part time "as needed" work for both nursing homes and as a traveling therapist for home health care.
Kim was very athletic and excelled at all sports (except golf). While in junior high, she held several track and field records and was on the '94' state champion basketball team. Not only did she love to play basketball, but coaching The Special Olympics basketball team was very dear to her heart. When not coaching or playing, she was generally watching her kids or families sporting events.
She was never afraid to try new and trendy crafting ideas, and they usually turned out awesome. She wrote beautiful poems that the family will cherish from now on and she taught Elli her cooking moto, "if you didn't make a big mess in the kitchen, you didn't do it right." She loved to cook and experiment with flavors and ingredients but mostly, she cooked with love and passion.
Kim did nothing halfway. She was all in. She battled for 5 ½ years and never wavered in her faith. She was truly as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside and she had an uncanny ability to turn any situation into a positive outlook. Never one to back down from confrontation, she always stood up for what was right and gave the honest truth. She was very much respected by her patients simply for being a compassionate straight shooter. Her honesty was always delivered with love.
Throughout her life and this courageous fight, Kim's main desire has been for others to see integrity, love, forgiveness, and Christ. She loved with everything she had, loved all people, forgave all people, and shared Christ with all people. You've fought the good fight, you've finished the race, you've kept the faith, now proudly wear your crown of righteousness as a daughter of the King!
Upon her arrival into Heaven, she was greeted by her father, Jacob Allison Grubb; paternal grandparents, Mary Ida and Jack Grubb; maternal grandparents, Harold and Rosemary Ochsner; adopted grandmother, Lahoma Cook and mother-in-law, Carol Peet.
Those left to carry on her legacy and cherish her memories are her husband, Tracy Peet; two children, Kyler Peet and Ellizabeth Peet; parents, Paul and Beth Bagwell all of Pampa; stepmother, Margaret Grubb of Derby, KS; father-in-law, Richard Peet of Pampa; brothers, Jason Bagwell and wife Meredith of Pampa, Justin Bagwell of Shallowater; sister, Kelli Bird of Pampa; stepbrother, Paul Wesley Bagwell and wife Melissa of Santa Fe, NM; brothers-in-law, Tory Peet and wife Jennifer of Groom, Tarin Peet and wife Emilee of Olathe, KS, 22 nieces and nephews and a plethora of extended family whom she loved tremendously.
Should donations be preferred, the family suggests they be made to the Educational Benefit Account for Elli and Kyler at First Bank Southwest, 321 W. Francis Avenue, Pampa, TX 79065 in honor of Kim.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2023, at First Baptist Church, 203 N. West Street.
