He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Bobbie Leona Wilson Bagwell; daughters: Alesia (Darren) Taylor of Warner Robbins, GA and Jennifer Bagwell of Blue Ridge, GA; three grandchildren: Chelsea, Jessica, Aaron; and three great-grandchildren: Carter, Evelyn and Cohen.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Sunday, September 10 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.1

Mrs. Bobbie Leona Wilson Bagwell, age 90, formerly of Washington Highway, Elberton, wife of the late Howard Martin Bagwell, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Memory Care at Lake Joy in Warner Robins, while surrounded by her family and listening to Elvis.

Bobbie was the only daughter of Leo Irma WIlson and Edna Jane Ledford Wilson, born in Hayesville, NC on January 7, 1934. She moved with her family to Elberton where she graduated from high school and excelled in basketball. Bobbie retired from Southern Bell after 30 years of employment. She loved working in her flower gardens and doing stitch work. Bobbie was always sure to be present at any of her grandchildren’s activities.

Mrs. Bagwell is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Baker Wilson.

Survivors include two daughters: Alesia Bagwell Sikes and her husband Jason of Warner Robins, and Jennifer Bagwell Powley and her husband Brian of Cumming; grandchildren: Chelsea Oberle and her husband Ryan, Jessica Burroughs, and Aaron Percevecz; great-grandchildren: Carter, Evelyn, and Cohen; and brother, James Larry Wilson and his wife Darla of Elberton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 26, at 1:00p.m. at the Berry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. The family will visit with friends from 12:00-12:45p.m. prior to the service. She will be buried in Forest Hills Memorial Park next to her husband.

Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in her memory to the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, 41 Perimeter Center E, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30346.

Marlene Kay Bagwell Moore, age 80, of Clinton, TN passed away after battling Alzheimer’s in Knoxville on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023. Marlene was born in Knoxville, TN, attended Fulton High School, and was a Majorette at the University of Tennessee before transferring to Tennessee Tech to join and eventually marry her high school sweetheart James “Jim” Moore. Marlene graduated from Tennessee Tech with a teaching degree which led to a 40-year career as a beloved teacher and mentor who bettered the lives of countless students. Marlene was a positive, sweet dear friend to almost anyone she encountered. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, and grandmother. Marlene and her husband, Jim, were devout Christians and longtime members of the United Memorial Methodist Church in Clinton. Marlene was an avid Tennessee sports fan. She loved to cook, spend time with her family and to “do” for others. Her genuine and caring demeanor was ideally suited for mentoring young people as a teacher and youth counselor. Marlene is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James “Jim” Moore, her parents, Charlie and Mildred Evelyn Parsons Bagwell; his parents, Harry and Elise Dickson Moore; sister, Barbara Bagwell Plunkett; and In-laws, Betty Jo Hartley and husband Jim of Knoxville, Dr. Harry E. Julia (Judy) Bagwell, 72 of Knoxville went home to be with her Lord September 12, 2017. She passed away at home with her loving family and friends around her. Judy was born December 18, 1944 in Kingsport, TN. She is preceded in death by the love of her life the Rev. Morris Bagwell. Parents Robert and Leathie Bowman, brothers Dewey, Robert (Bob), and James Bowman. Sisters Goldie Wills, Gearline Eastwood, and Sarah Ruth Pruett.

She is survived by her daughter Lora Trent of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law Lakieta and Jamie Graves; grandsons Erik and wife Danielle Trent, of Jefferson City and Ben and wife Natalie Bagwell of Knoxville; great granddaughter Kenzli Mae Trent; sisters Dorothy Dodson of Rogersville; Areatha Pratt of Church Hill; Sandra Lawson of Kingsport; brother Geronia and wife Christine Bowman of Sarasota, FL as well as many nieces and nephews.

Whether it was greeting guests at her church, cooking, or playing the piano and singing for worship, Judy lived to serve Christ and others. Judy loved her family with that same servant's heart and was affectionately known by them as "Mom Mom". Her home was always open for food and fellowship. The love she had for family overflowed to her church family, as well as the life-long friends she made over the years. Everyone was welcome at Mom Mom's house.

The life she lived here on Earth will have an eternal impact on countless others, both locally and around the globe. The love for her Lord lead her to missionary work in Turkey, South Africa, Poland, Italy, Greece, and Croatia.

The family will receive friends at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN on Friday, September 15 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
