     Flora Porter was born on 26 April 1920 in Liberty, Pickens County, South Carolina. As of circa 1938,her married name was Bagwell. She married Roy Bruce Bagwell, son of Calvin Andrew Bagwell and Minnie Elvira Duncan, circa 1938. Flora Porter died on 17 December 2018 at age 98. She was buried at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, Gaston County, North Carolina.

     Imogene Gunter Bagwell was born on 1 December 1939 in South Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Roy Bruce Bagwell and Flora Porter.¹ Imogene Gunter Bagwell died on 7 June 1940.¹ She was buried at West View Cemetery, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹

     Robert Morley Bagwell was born on 16 March 1922 in Doniphan, Riley County, Missouri. He was the son of Earl Bagwell and Ada Ashcraft. He was an AM3 in the US Navy during World War II.¹ Robert Morley Bagwell married Alouise Wilma (?) after 1945.¹ Robert Morley Bagwell died on 8 June 1997 in Shasta, California, at age 75.

     Ada Ashcraft was born in 1903 in Arkansas. As of 27 February 1921,her married name was Bagwell. She married Earl Bagwell on 27 February 1921 at Ripley County, Missouri.

     Alouise Wilma (?) was born on 7 June 1930.¹ As of after 1945,her married name was Bagwell.¹ She married Robert Morley Bagwell, son of Earl Bagwell and Ada Ashcraft, after 1945.¹ Alouise Wilma (?) died on 10 May 2003 at age 72.¹ She was buried at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, Solano County, California.¹

     William Rudolph Cristy was born on 15 April 1906 in Arkansas. He married Addie May Bagwell, daughter of Arthur Claude Bagwell and Edna Garrison, after 1935. William Rudolph Cristy died on 3 October 1987 at age 81.

     Frances Elaine Bagwell was born on 29 May 1928 in Armstrong County, Texas. She was the daughter of Arthur Claude Bagwell and Edna Garrison. As of after 1945,her married name was Lovinggood. Frances Elaine Bagwell married Jack Richard Lovinggood after 1945. Frances Elaine Bagwell died on 15 September 1984 in Collin County, Texas, at age 56.

     Jack Richard Lovinggood was born on 27 November 1926. He married Frances Elaine Bagwell, daughter of Arthur Claude Bagwell and Edna Garrison, after 1945. Jack Richard Lovinggood died on 11 November 1998 in Princeton, Collin County, Texas, at age 71.

     Thoressia Edna "Sammie" Bagwell was born on 23 August 1913 in Armstrong County, Texas. She was the daughter of Arthur Claude Bagwell and Edna Garrison. Thoressia Edna "Sammie" Bagwell died on 13 May 1982 in Potter County, Texas, at age 68.

     Howard Martin Bagwell was born on 27 November 1931 in Elberton, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Orin Martin Bagwell and Sarah Anne Bell.¹ Howard Martin Bagwell married Bobbie Leona Wilson after 1953.¹ Howard Martin Bagwell died on 8 September 2017 at age 85
Howard Martin Bagwell, 85, Washington Hwy., Elberton, GA passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Mr. Bagwell was born November 27, 1931 in Elberton, GA to Oren Martin "O.M." Bagwell and Sara Anne Bell Bagwell. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elberton.

Mr. Bagwell served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Army Reserve Center in Clemson, SC.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Bobbie Leona Wilson Bagwell; daughters: Alesia (Darren) Taylor of Warner Robbins, GA and Jennifer Bagwell of Blue Ridge, GA; three grandchildren: Chelsea, Jessica, Aaron; and three great-grandchildren: Carter, Evelyn and Cohen.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Sunday, September 10 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.¹

Mrs. Bobbie Leona Wilson Bagwell, age 90, formerly of Washington Highway, Elberton, wife of the late Howard Martin Bagwell, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Memory Care at Lake Joy in Warner Robins, while surrounded by her family and listening to Elvis.

Bobbie was the only daughter of Leo Irma WIlson and Edna Jane Ledford Wilson, born in Hayesville, NC on January 7, 1934. She moved with her family to Elberton where she graduated from high school and excelled in basketball. Bobbie retired from Southern Bell after 30 years of employment. She loved working in her flower gardens and doing stitch work. Bobbie was always sure to be present at any of her grandchildren’s activities.

Mrs. Bagwell is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Baker Wilson.

Survivors include two daughters: Alesia Bagwell Sikes and her husband Jason of Warner Robins, and Jennifer Bagwell Powley and her husband Brian of Cumming; grandchildren: Chelsea Oberle and her husband Ryan, Jessica Burroughs, and Aaron Percevecz; great-grandchildren: Carter, Evelyn, and Cohen; and brother, James Larry Wilson and his wife Darla of Elberton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 26, at 1:00p.m. at the Berry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. The family will visit with friends from 12:00-12:45p.m. prior to the service. She will be buried in Forest Hills Memorial Park next to her husband.

     Frances Jackson Bagwell was born on 4 July 1911.¹ He was the son of Thomas Vandiver Bagwell and Pearl Brewer.¹ Frances Jackson Bagwell married Helen Agnes Utecht on 16 June 1936 at Hamtramck, Wayne County, Michigan. Frances Jackson Bagwell died on 24 October 1975 in Volusia, Florida, at age 64.¹ He was buried at Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton, Elbert County, Georgia.¹

     Faye M. Tucker was born on 25 October 1919. As of 5 June 1997,her married name was Bagwell. She married Tom Walton Bagwell, son of Knox Earnest Bagwell and Rosa Pearl Wilson, on 5 June 1997 at Rockwell, Texas. Faye M. Tucker died on 17 May 2003 in Garand, Dallas County, Texas, at age 83.

     Sefton Lynn Bagwell was born on 7 November 1957 in New Mexico. He was the son of Tom Walton Bagwell. Sefton Lynn Bagwell died on 13 July 2014 in Casper, Wyoming, at age 56.

     Lorene Dora Hutchings was born on 25 March 1919 in Tupelo, Oklahoma. As of circa 1938,her married name was Bagwell. She married Tom Walton Bagwell, son of Knox Earnest Bagwell and Rosa Pearl Wilson, circa 1938. Lorene Dora Hutchings died on 6 July 2001 at age 82.

     Dattie Bagwell is the daughter of Tom Walton Bagwell and Lorene Dora Hutchings.

     Charlotte Gail Bagwell was born on 12 May 1947. She was the daughter of Furnie Joe Bagwell. Charlotte Gail Bagwell died on 17 April 1991 at age 43. She was buried at Resthaven Park West Cemetery, Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona.

     Marlene Kay Bagwell was born on 26 March 1943 in Knoxville, Tennessee.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Morgan Bagwell and Mildred Evelyn Parsons.¹ As of after 1962,her married name was Moore. Marlene Kay Bagwell married James Moore after 1962. Marlene Kay Bagwell died on 24 May 2023 in Knoxville, Tennessee, at age 80

Marlene Kay Bagwell Moore, age 80, of Clinton, TN passed away after battling Alzheimer’s in Knoxville on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023. Marlene was born in Knoxville, TN, attended Fulton High School, and was a Majorette at the University of Tennessee before transferring to Tennessee Tech to join and eventually marry her high school sweetheart James “Jim” Moore. Marlene graduated from Tennessee Tech with a teaching degree which led to a 40-year career as a beloved teacher and mentor who bettered the lives of countless students. Marlene was a positive, sweet dear friend to almost anyone she encountered. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, and grandmother. Marlene and her husband, Jim, were devout Christians and longtime members of the United Memorial Methodist Church in Clinton. Marlene was an avid Tennessee sports fan. She loved to cook, spend time with her family and to “do” for others. Her genuine and caring demeanor was ideally suited for mentoring young people as a teacher and youth counselor. Marlene is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James “Jim” Moore, her parents, Charlie and Mildred Evelyn Parsons Bagwell; his parents, Harry and Elise Dickson Moore; sister, Barbara Bagwell Plunkett; and In-laws, Betty Jo Hartley and husband Jim of Knoxville, Dr. Harry E. Julia (Judy) Bagwell, 72 of Knoxville went home to be with her Lord September 12, 2017. She passed away at home with her loving family and friends around her. Judy was born December 18, 1944 in Kingsport, TN. She is preceded in death by the love of her life the Rev. Morris Bagwell. Parents Robert and Leathie Bowman, brothers Dewey, Robert (Bob), and James Bowman. Sisters Goldie Wills, Gearline Eastwood, and Sarah Ruth Pruett.

She is survived by her daughter Lora Trent of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law Lakieta and Jamie Graves; grandsons Erik and wife Danielle Trent, of Jefferson City and Ben and wife Natalie Bagwell of Knoxville; great granddaughter Kenzli Mae Trent; sisters Dorothy Dodson of Rogersville; Areatha Pratt of Church Hill; Sandra Lawson of Kingsport; brother Geronia and wife Christine Bowman of Sarasota, FL as well as many nieces and nephews.

Whether it was greeting guests at her church, cooking, or playing the piano and singing for worship, Judy lived to serve Christ and others. Judy loved her family with that same servant's heart and was affectionately known by them as "Mom Mom". Her home was always open for food and fellowship. The love she had for family overflowed to her church family, as well as the life-long friends she made over the years. Everyone was welcome at Mom Mom's house.

The life she lived here on Earth will have an eternal impact on countless others, both locally and around the globe. The love for her Lord lead her to missionary work in Turkey, South Africa, Poland, Italy, Greece, and Croatia.

The family will receive friends at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN on Friday, September 15 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Phil Nordstrom officiating. Interment in Lynnhurst Cemetery will be on Saturday, September 16 at 1:00 pm.      Mollie Jellie Carney was also known as Mallie Z. Carney. She was born in January 1897 in Tennessee.¹ As of circa 1916,her married name was Bagwell.¹ She married John Alva Bagwell, son of Jacob Bagwell and Francis R. Thompson, circa 1916.¹ Mollie Jellie Carney died on 30 August 1922 in Montgomery County, Tennessee, at age 25 of Tuberculosis.¹ She was buried at Benevolent Lodge Cemetery, Montgomery County, Tennessee.¹

     John Thomas Bagwell was born on 19 July 1921 in Tennessee.¹ He was the son of John Alva Bagwell and Mollie Jellie Carney.¹ John Thomas Bagwell died on 12 October 1922 in Montgomery County, Tennessee, at age 1
John Thomas Bagwell was born on July 19, 1921 in Tennessee, the son of John Alva Bagwell and Mallie Jellie Bagwell (ca 1893-1922).

He passed away on October 12, 1922 in Montgomery County, thought to have died of TB since his mother died of it on August 30th. Burial was the next day in Port Royal's Benevolent Cemetery.

     Mary Joi W. married Hughie Earl Bagwell, son of William Hays Bagwell and Salllie Leota Fisackerly, after 1950.¹

     Joseph D. Vanadore was born in 1897.¹ He married Mary J. Bagwell, daughter of William Henry Bagwell and Louvie Alice Hall, after 1917.¹ Joseph D. Vanadore died in 1968.¹ He was buried at Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Abbeville County, South Carolina.¹

     Sergeant First Class James Wiley Bagwell was born on 6 July 1930.¹ He was the son of Paul William Bagwell Sr. and Sarah Anne Blum. He enlisted in the US Army the first time on August 15, 1951 and released June 4, 1955. The second time he enlisted February 6, 1961 and was released on February 28, 1977. He served in Korea and Vietnam. (Serial Number: 247445332) and acheieved the rank of Sergeant First Class. Sergeant First Class James Wiley Bagwell married Ruby Lee Allen on 17 March 1951 at Greenwood, South Carolina. Sergeant First Class James Wiley Bagwell married Ruby Lee Allen on 27 March 1965.² Sergeant First Class James Wiley Bagwell died on 10 July 1987 in Greenwood, South Carolina, at age 57.¹ He was buried at Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Abbeville County, South Carolina.¹

     Patricia Marlene Bagwell was born on 27 January 1947 in Anderson County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of James Wade Bagwell and Nellie Ruth Brown. As of after 1965,her married name was Brown. Patricia Marlene Bagwell married Johnny Mack Brown after 1965. Patricia Marlene Bagwell died on 25 September 2004 in Anderson County, South Carolina, at age 57

She was the widow of Johnny Mack Brown and the daughter of the late James W. Bagwell.

Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Revs. Terry Allen and Joey Hudgen officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after graveside services.
