     Betty Bagwell was born on 28 November 1941 in Starke, Bradford County, Florida. She was the daughter of Kenneth Lee Bagwell and Lovie Estell Haisten. As of after 1960,her married name was Montgomery. Betty Bagwell married (?) Montgomery after 1960. Betty Bagwell died on 17 April 2009 in Saint Augustine, St. Johns County, Florida, at age 67.

     Thomas Mearling Bagwell was also known as Tom Bagwell. He was born on 20 December 1952 in Nashville, Howard County, Arkansas. He was the son of Dallas Maryland Bagwell Jr. and Marguerite Germaine Andrews. Thomas Mearling Bagwell married Renae Kathleen Webster on 29 December 1973 at Denver, Colorado. Thomas Mearling Bagwell died on 1 April 2020 in Denver, Denver County, Colorado, at age 67

Thomas (Tom) Bagwell, 67, passed away April 1st at St. Anthony’s Hospital. He put up a very brave fight but lost his life to the coronavirus. He is Survived by, his wife Renae, son Tommy Bagwell, son-in-law Andrew Barbo, son Jason Bagwell, daughter-in-law Theresa Bagwell, grandson Brayden Bagwell, brother David Bagwell, sister Brenda Martin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tom was born in Nashville, Arkansas on December 20th, 1952. Although he told Renae he was born in a barn, she found out later, that he was actually born in a hospital. His parents, Dallas and Germaine moved their family to Denver where Dallas got a job with the Railroad. But one of the misfortunes the family suffered occurred in 1965, when the Platte River flood caused the family to lose nearly everything.

In 1973, Tom and Renae married young, he at the age of 21, and Renae at the age of 18. Despite their youth, the minister accurately predicted their marriage would be successful. They had two wonderful boys; Tommy in 1977, and Jason in 1979, and they sincerely enjoyed spending time together on little trips.

When the boys moved out, Tom and Renae shared hobbies they both enjoyed; fishing, shooting, showing their miniature schnauzers, and just spending time together. He was a conscientious and considerate husband with a great sense of humor and a booming laugh that would light up a room. He loved competitive shooting and collecting knives, but also enjoyed simply hanging out with his shooting buddies.

After he retired from the railroad, Tom became a helpful partner to Renae in her insurance agency, a job that gave him access to many customers who also came to love him.

Tom was a prankster who liked jokes, and so it somehow seemed fitting that he chose April Fool’s day to make his final exit.

Tom was supportive of both of his son's careers and kept the cars and everything working in the house. Specifically, because Tom was handy, generous, honest and trustworthy, he was the kind of guy many a stranded motorist hoped to run into, and, in fact, many stranded people actually did.

But one day on a mountain fishing trip turned out to be the best example of what kind of guy Tom was. Everyone was trying to fish, but the boys were young and Renae didn’t like to bait her hook, so Tom was not able to get much fishing in for himself. Instead, he cheerfully hurried about, baiting hooks, untangling lines, and taking care of everyone else. When Tommy caught a fish, Tom helped him land the fish, praised him for his great catch, and then, in a moment of fatherly insight, he pretended to throw the well-hooked fish back into the lake. Immediately after the fish splash into the water, he looked at Jason who had already started fussing with frustration. Tom then carried the pole with the fish still on the line and handed it to Jason. After that, Tom stood back, folded his arms on his chest, and watched with pure delight when Jason also “caught” a fish! Tom adored his grandson, Brayden and enjoyed every minute of being a grandpa. He was a good man who lead a good life, and we will miss him.

Because The Salvation Army helped his family during the flood, In lieu of flowers, I think Tom would want donations to be made in his honor.

He was buried at Rocky Mountain Memorial Park, Denver, Denver County, Colorado.

     Maud I. Smith was born on 20 February 1879 in Illinois. As of 1 January 1904,her married name was Bagwell. She married Gillis Bagwell, son of Lloyd A. Bagwell and Nancy Elizabeth Hagler, on 1 January 1904 at Perry, Illinois. Maud I. Smith died on 7 November 1941 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, at age 62.

     Humbert J. Mautone Sr. married Dorothy Mae Bagwell, daughter of John Sylvester Bagwell and Rebecca Delilah Harp, on 18 September 1947.

     Maxine Myatt was born in 1929. As of 30 January 1954,her married name was Bagwell. She married Edwin Lee Bagwell, son of John Sylvester Bagwell and Rebecca Delilah Harp, on 30 January 1954 at Chaffee, Scott County, Missouri. Maxine Myatt died in 2003. She was buried at Lawrence Memorial Park, Walnut Ridge, Lawrence County, Arkansas.

     Mamie E. Krigbaum was born on 29 March 1886. She was buried at Saint Johns Cemetery, Granite City, Madison County, Illinois. As of after 1900,her married name was Bagwill. She married Otis Bagwill, son of Miles Standish Bagwell and Molly H. Ridge, after 1900. Mamie E. Krigbaum died in October 1986 at age 100.

     Joyce Bagwill was born on 10 December 1909 in Arkansas. She was the daughter of Otis Bagwill and Mamie E. Krigbaum. Joyce Bagwill died on 19 April 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri, at age 19. She was buried at Tower Grove Cemetery, Murphysboro, Jackson County, Illinois.

     Joseph Bagwell was also known as Josiah Bagwell. He was born circa 1850 in Kentucky. He married Elizabeth E. Higgins on 20 July 1878 at Posey County, Indiana. Joseph Bagwell and Elizabeth E. Higgins lived in 1880 in Smith Mill, Henderson County, Kentucky.

     Elizabeth E. Higgins was also known as Sarah E. Higgins. She was born circa 1860 in Kentucky. She lived in 1870 in Smith Mill, Henderson County, Kentucky. She married Joseph Bagwell on 20 July 1878 at Posey County, Indiana. As of 20 July 1878,her married name was Bagwell. Elizabeth E. Higgins and Joseph Bagwell lived in 1880 in Smith Mill, Henderson County, Kentucky.

     Bertha T. Bagwell was born on 11 April 1887 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Joseph Bagwell and Elizabeth E. Higgins. As of 17 November 1906,her married name was Voyles. Bertha T. Bagwell married William G. Voyles on 17 November 1906 at Posey County, Indiana. As of before 1950,her married name was Geupel. Bertha T. Bagwell married (?) Geupel before 1950. Bertha T. Bagwell died on 9 April 1952 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, at age 64. She was buried at Dixon Cemetery, West Franklin, Posey County, Indiana.

     Ida B. Bagwell was born in March 1880 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Joseph Bagwell and Elizabeth E. Higgins.
