     Adith Goff was also known as Edith Goff. She was born on 14 September 1925 in Pike County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Tildon Goff and Sarah Ann Chapman. As of after 1940,her married name was Maynard. Adith Goff married (?) Maynard after 1940. Adith Goff died on 28 September 2005 at age 80.

     James Edward Goff was born on 21 March 1929 in Stone County, Kentucky. He was the son of Tildon Goff and Sarah Ann Chapman. He served in the US Air Force from 14 July 1950 to 12 June 1963. James Edward Goff lived in 1989 in Dearborn, Michigan. He died on 27 January 2004 in Dearborn, Michigan, at age 74.

     Joyce Yvonne Goff was born on 31 August 1930 in Stone, Pike County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Tildon Goff and Sarah Ann Chapman. Joyce Yvonne Goff died on 25 April 2016 in Charlestown, Clark County, Indiana, at age 85. She was buried at Charlestown Cemetery, Charlestown, Clark County, Indiana.

     Burl Gene Goff was born on 15 June 1932 in Pikeville, Kentucky. He was the son of Tildon Goff and Sarah Ann Chapman. Burl Gene Goff married Carol Metcalf after 1950. Burl Gene Goff lived in 1989 in Clarksville, Clark County, Indiana. He died on 27 March 2011 in Clarksville, Clark County, Indiana, at age 78.

     Patricia Ruth Goff is the daughter of Tildon Goff and Sarah Ann Chapman. Patricia Ruth Goff married Jess Preston Williams on 3 September 1976 at Dickenson, Virginia.

She married Edward Neuroth Bagwell, son of Daniel Van Buren Bagwell and Bertha Schwob, in 1913. Fae L. Shoptaugh died on 4 June 1978 in Staunton, Macoupin County, Illinois, at age 85. She was buried at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, St. Clair County, Illinois.

     Bertha Schwob was born in 1871. As of before 1898,her married name was Bagwell. She married Daniel Van Buren Bagwell, son of James Henry Bagwell and Mary Jane Brown, before 1898. Bertha Schwob died in 1898. She was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, St. Clair County, Illinois.

     Columbus Carl Goff was born on 9 April 1921 in Borderland, Mingo County, West Virginia. He was the son of Thomas Goff and Mary Ann George. He enlisted in the US Army on 3 September 1942 at Fort Thomas, Kentucky. he served during World Warr II in England, France, and Germany. Columbus Carl Goff died on 21 November 1994 in New Baltimore, Macomb County, Michigan, at age 73. He was buried at Saint Marys Cemetery, New Baltimore, Macomb County, Michigan.

     Pastor John Joseph Goff was born on 19 September 1937 in West Virginia. He was the son of Thomas Goff and Mary Ann George. Pastor John Joseph Goff married Norma Hope Ward in 1958. Pastor John Joseph Goff died on 28 March 2009 at age 71


Dr. John J. Goff, 71, of Hidden Valley at Chapmanville, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Chapmanville, met his Savior face to face Saturday, March 28, 2009.

Born September 19, 1937, in Lorado, he was a son of the late Tom and Mary Goff.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Norma Hope Ward Goff; two daughters, Mary Ann (Jeff) Lane of Chapmanville, and Marty (David) Noe of McConnell; one son, John Goff II of Chapmanville; three granddaughters, Rachel and Lindsay Noe of McConnell and Shannan Noe of Wheeling; two great-granddaughters, Keiera Wilkinson of Wheeling and Maddy Noe of McConnell, and a host of other family and friends.

Pastor Goff was a graduate of the 1955 class of Logan High School and a 1959 graduate of West Virginia University where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Phi fraternity. He was awarded a graduate fellowship at Indiana University and later received a master's degree from Ohio University. He completed his education by obtaining a Doctorate of Divinity from the Clarksville Theological Seminary. He was employed by the Logan County Board of Education, becoming Chapmanville High School's Dean of Boys in 1963, assistant principal in 1965 and finally became principal of the school in 1974. Also, at this time, he taught classes and coached the men's basketball team at the Logan Campus of Marshall University (now Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College.)

Pastor Goff was the shepherd of the First Baptist Church of Chapmanville for over 36 years. In 1977, he resigned his job as principal at Chapmanville High School to become the principal and director of the First Baptist Christian School in Chapmanville. The school remained in operation through 1999. Pastor Goff served on the board of directors for Logan Mingo Area Mental Health and had a special ministry to the patients at the Futures Drug Treatment Center in Logan. He also hosted a local radio broadcast, "A Time For Truth," each Sunday morning on WVOW Radio in Logan for the past 35 years.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the Freeman Funeral Home in Chapmanville with Pastor James Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Pallbearers will be Robert R. Mays III, Richard Mays, Phillip Williamson, J.R. Vance, Joseph Pridemore, Brian Runyon and Gideon Jarvis.

Honorary pallbearers are Willie Akers, Danny Godby, Phil Williamson, Robert R. Mays Jr., Raamie Barker and Ralph Baughn.

William Goff died in June 1882 in Raccoon, Pike County, Kentucky. He was buried at Goff Cemetery, Millard, Pike County, Kentucky.

     Mary Ramey was also known as Polly Ramey. As of 25 December 1851,her married name was Goff. She married William Goff, son of Edward Goff and Isabelle Coleman, on 25 December 1851 at Pike County, Kentucky. Mary Ramey died in 1891 in Pike County, Kentucky.

     John Mitchell Goff was born on 4 April 1864. He was the son of William Goff and Mary Ramey. John Mitchell Goff married Luvicia May Charles in 1882 at Kentucky. John Mitchell Goff died on 18 March 1944 at age 79. He was buried at Goff Cemetery, Breathitt County, Kentucky.

     Luvicia May Charles was also known as Vicy. Luvicia May Charles was also known as Vicey. She was born on 1 March 1862 in Pike County, Kentucky. As of 1882,her married name was Goff. She married John Mitchell Goff, son of William Goff and Mary Ramey, in 1882 at Kentucky. Luvicia May Charles died on 11 April 1953 in Kenton County, Kentucky, at age 91. She was buried at Goff Cemetery, Breathitt County, Kentucky.

     Mary E. Goff was born on 6 July 1867 in Pikeville, Pike County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of William Goff and Mary Ramey. As of 8 June 1893,her married name was Charles. Mary E. Goff married John Wesley Charles on 8 June 1893 at Pike County, Kentucky. Mary E. Goff died on 6 July 1915 in Pikeville, Pike County, Kentucky, at age 48. She was buried at Goff Cemetery, Pikeville, Pike County, Kentucky.
