     Alabama Goff was born in May 1877. She was the daughter of George Washington Goff and Nancy Parsons. Alabama Goff died in 1905. She was buried at Goff Family Cemetery, Pike County, Kentucky.

     Isabelle Goff was born on 15 February 1858. She was the daughter of George Washington Goff and Nancy Parsons. As of after 1876,her married name was Justice. Isabelle Goff married John Wesley Justice after 1876. Isabelle Goff died on 3 January 1923 at age 64. She was buried at Annie E. Young Cemetery, Pineville, Pike County, Kentucky.

     John Wesley Justice was born in 1847 in Pike County, Kentucky. He married Isabelle Goff, daughter of George Washington Goff and Nancy Parsons, after 1876. John Wesley Justice died on 15 April 1925 in Pike County, Kentucky.

     Helen Jean Bagwell was born on 24 December 1931 in Miami, Florida. She was the daughter of Ralph Eugene Bagwell and Kemper Rejelle Harrell. As of 6 February 1954,her married name was Zapf. Helen Jean Bagwell married John Thomas Zapf on 6 February 1954 at Miami, Florida. Helen Jean Bagwell died on 24 September 2024 in Jacksonville, Florida, at age 92


Helen Jean Zapf, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. She was born on December 24,1931 in Miami, Florida to the late Ralph and Kemper Bagwell. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, John (Jack) Thomas Zapf. Helen earned her degree in Education from the University of Miami. She left classroom teaching to raise her family. She continued to nurture young minds as a Sunday School teacher for many years at North Shore Baptist Church in Miami. Helen also devoted her time to fundraising for the Women’s Cancer Association demonstrating her commitment to helping others.

Helen and Jack cherished over fifty years of life in Miami Shores before retiring to Jacksonville, Florida. They embraced their new community in Deercreek and became involved with Deermeadows Baptist Church. Helen was also active as a PEO sister. Helen’s warm hospitality shone through as she entertained family and friends, making holidays especially memorable. Known for her delightful “Hello Dollies,” she always had a sweet treat ready for anyone in need of a little chocolate joy.

She is survived by her brother Ralph Eugene (Mary) Bagwell, her children: Julie (Bob) Hynes and John (Judy) Zapf, her grandchildren: Katie (Brian) Graden, James Hynes, Gretchen (Shay) Jacobs, and Jackson (Amanda) Hynes and three great granddaughters. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Helen’s Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Deermeadows Baptist Church, 9780 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville, FL 32256. She will be laid to rest at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.

     John Thomas Zapf married Helen Jean Bagwell, daughter of Ralph Eugene Bagwell and Kemper Rejelle Harrell, on 6 February 1954 at Miami, Florida.

     Ralph Eugene Bagwell Jr. is the son of Ralph Eugene Bagwell and Kemper Rejelle Harrell. Ralph Eugene Bagwell Jr. married Mary E. Farrar in January 1966.

     Mary E. Farrar married Ralph Eugene Bagwell Jr., son of Ralph Eugene Bagwell and Kemper Rejelle Harrell, in January 1966.

     James Allen Bagwell was born on 1 December 1972. He was the son of Ralph Eugene Bagwell Jr. and Mary E. Farrar. James Allen Bagwell died on 13 April 1993 at age 20. He was buried on 15 April 1993 at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, Fulton County, Georgia.

     Jeff Bagwell is the son of Ralph Eugene Bagwell Jr. and Mary E. Farrar.

     Michael Bagwell is the son of Ralph Eugene Bagwell Jr. and Mary E. Farrar.

     Lillie Ruby Castello was born on 24 August 1906. As of 18 December 1924,her married name was Bagwell. She married Richard Franklin Bagwell, son of Jesse Ray Bagwell and Henrietta Eliza Johnson, on 18 December 1924 at Caddo, Bryan County, Oklahoma. Lillie Ruby Castello and Richard Franklin Bagwell were divorced on 23 September 1941. Lillie Ruby Castello died on 18 September 1988 at age 82. She was buried at Rowlett Creek Cemetery, Plano, Collin County, Texas.

     Ester Maenita Hoover was born on 21 July 1910 in Wayne County, Illinois. As of after 1946,her married name was Bagwell. She married Richard Franklin Bagwell, son of Jesse Ray Bagwell and Henrietta Eliza Johnson, after 1946. Ester Maenita Hoover died on 14 December 1984 in Mesquite, Dallas County, Texas, at age 74. She was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma.

     William Thomas Goff was born in 1846 in Wilcox County, Georgia. He was the son of Samuel C. Goff and Elizabeth J. Hunter. William Thomas Goff married Nancy Jane Alexander on 24 February 1874 at Irwin County, Georgia. William Thomas Goff died on 6 February 1923 in Henderson Mill, Calhoun County, Florida. He was buried at Barton Cemetery, Calhoun County, Florida.

     Nancy Jane Alexander married William Thomas Goff, son of Samuel C. Goff and Elizabeth J. Hunter, on 24 February 1874 at Irwin County, Georgia.

     Jackson Monroe Goff was born on 9 December 1875 in Georgia. He was the son of William Thomas Goff and Nancy Jane Alexander. Jackson Monroe Goff married Minnie Lee Branch on 26 December 1894 at Calhoun County, Florida. Jackson Monroe Goff died in 1936 in Calhoun County, Florida.

Gladys Willie Holland died on 10 July 1991 in Washington County, Florida, at age 72. She was buried at Esto Community Cemetery, Esto, Holmes County, Florida.

     Thurston Maine Goff Jr. was born on 29 October 1940 in Florida. He was the son of Thurston Maine Goff and Gladys Willie Holland. Thurston Maine Goff Jr. died on 21 February 2023 at age 82. He was buried at Esto Community Cemetery, Esto, Holmes County, Florida.

     Minnie Nora Goff was born on 30 March 1942 in Florida. She was the daughter of Thurston Maine Goff and Gladys Willie Holland. Minnie Nora Goff died on 18 April 2006 at age 64. She was buried at Lees Chapel Cemetery, Geneva County, Alabama.
