     Walter Luther Goff was born on 19 July 1949 in Brazoria County, Texas. He was the son of Judge Edward Roland Goff and Virginia Nell Patterson. Walter Luther Goff married Janna D. Walter Luther Goff, 74, of Angleton, passed away on March 6, 2024. Walter was born on July 19, 1949, in Angleton to Edward Roland and Virginia (Patterson) Goff.

Walter attended Angleton High School and graduated in 1967. He attended Alvin College and Brazosport College. He would graduate from Thomas Road Bible Institute in May of 1978.

Walter had a number of talents. He was a gifted musician and enjoyed writing music. He had a talent for drawing and had the opportunity to sell some of his sketches. Walter had a gift for public speaking and, for a time, served as a pastor in Canada. He also enjoyed working on cars and the process involved in restoring classics like his ’57 Chevy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Roland and Virginia Goff. Also, his brother Edward Roland Goff Jr; and Virginia Guinn Morrow.

Those left to remember him are as follows, his three children, Jeffrey Dodd Goff, Jennifer Lynn Smith, and Jannah Marie Hardy; and Walter’s sister, Michal Rae Cook.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Angleton Cemetery.

He was buried on 13 March 2024 at Angelton Cemetery, Angleton, Brazoria County, Texas.

     Kathy Dean Cooksey married Walter Luther Goff, son of Judge Edward Roland Goff and Virginia Nell Patterson, on 29 April 2010 at Brazoria County, Texas.

     Janna D. Roye married Walter Luther Goff, son of Judge Edward Roland Goff and Virginia Nell Patterson, on 16 February 2002 at Brazoria County, Texas. Janna D. Roye and Walter Luther Goff were divorced on 21 August 2003 at Brazoria County, Texas.

     Carlyle Eugen Goff was born on 23 July 1924. He was the son of Edward Alexander Goff and Rebecca Elizabeth Willy. Carlyle Eugen Goff died on 1 January 2010 at age 85. He was buried at Little's Chapel Cemetery, Chireno, Nacogdoches County, Texas.

     George Sheldon Goff was born in 1846 in Gilmer County, West Virginia. He was the son of Strother Gail Goff and Nancy Virginia Riddle. George Sheldon Goff married Pheba Ann Selman on 22 October 1874 at Gilmer County, West Virginia. George Sheldon Goff married Margaret Shiflett on 25 November 1906 at Gilmer County, West Virginia. George Sheldon Goff died on 16 April 1917. He was buried at Job's Temple Cemetery, Glenville, Gilmer County, West Virginia.

     Pheba Ann Selman married George Sheldon Goff, son of Strother Gail Goff and Nancy Virginia Riddle, on 22 October 1874 at Gilmer County, West Virginia.

     Reverend William Francis Goff was born on 31 July 1875 in Ritchie County, West Virginia. He was the son of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman. Reverend William Francis Goff married Nora Lambert in 1901 at Ritchie County, West Virginia. Reverend William Francis Goff died on 9 September 1946 in Harrison County, West Virginia, at age 71. He was buried at Union Mission Cemetery, Harrison County, West Virginia.

     Nora Lambert married Reverend William Francis Goff, son of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman, in 1901 at Ritchie County, West Virginia.

     Minnie J Goff was born on 22 November 1876 in West Virginia. She was the daughter of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman. As of 26 August 1902,her married name was Vannoy. Minnie J Goff married Ira Edgar Vannoy on 26 August 1902 at Gilmer County, West Virginia. Minnie J Goff died on 26 April 1960 in Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia, at age 83. She was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia.

     Ira Edgar Vannoy married Minnie J Goff, daughter of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman, on 26 August 1902 at Gilmer County, West Virginia.

     Louise Ida Goff was born in September 1879 in West Virginia. She was the daughter of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman. As of 18 September 1901,her married name was Stalnaker. Louise Ida Goff married Thurman Stalnaker on 18 September 1901 at Gilmer County, West Virginia.

     Nancy Virginia Goff was born on 5 March 1889 in West Virginia. She was the daughter of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman. As of 21 November 1907,her married name was Moore. Nancy Virginia Goff married William Fletcher Moore on 21 November 1907 at Gilmer County, West Virginia. Nancy Virginia Goff died on 10 November 1979 in Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia, at age 90. She was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia.

     William Fletcher Moore married Nancy Virginia Goff, daughter of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman, on 21 November 1907 at Gilmer County, West Virginia.

     Reverend Jacob Monroe Goff was born on 13 May 1891 in Burnt House, Ritchie County, West Virginia. He was the son of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman. Reverend Jacob Monroe Goff married Vesta L. Elefritz in 1913 at Nicholas, West Virginia. Reverend Jacob Monroe Goff married Iva Belle Malson on 16 June 1919 at Summit County, Ohio. Reverend Jacob Monroe Goff died on 11 September 1982 in Akron, Summit County, Ohio, at age 91. He was buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron, Summit County, Ohio.

     Vesta L. Elefritz married Reverend Jacob Monroe Goff, son of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman, in 1913 at Nicholas, West Virginia.

     Iva Belle Malson married Reverend Jacob Monroe Goff, son of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman, on 16 June 1919 at Summit County, Ohio.

     Cora Mae Goff was born on 18 December 1897 in West Virginia. She was the daughter of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman. As of before 1920,her married name was Smith. Cora Mae Goff married Raymond Earl Smith before 1920. Cora Mae Goff died on 13 April 1982 in West Virginia at age 84. She was buried at Union Mission Cemetery, Harrison County, West Virginia.

     Raymond Earl Smith was born on 26 January 1895 in West Union, Doddridge County, West Virginia. He married Cora Mae Goff, daughter of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman, before 1920. Raymond Earl Smith died on 13 April 1975 in Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia, at age 80.

     Jackson David Goff was also known as David Jackson Goff. He was born on 3 June 1883 in Gilmer County, West Virginia. He was the son of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman. Jackson David Goff married May Pearl Caynor in 1910 at Nicholas County, West Virginia. Jackson David Goff died on 24 March 1962 in Weston, Lewis County, West Virginia, at age 78. He was buried at Smiths Run Cemetery, Weston, Lewis County, West Virginia.

     May Pearl Caynor married Jackson David Goff, son of George Sheldon Goff and Pheba Ann Selman, in 1910 at Nicholas County, West Virginia.

     Alva David Goff was also known as Alvie David Goff. He was born on 1 May 1918 in Weston, Lewis County, West Virginia. He was the son of Jackson David Goff and May Pearl Caynor. Alva David Goff married Dolie Irene Vandevender before 1939. Alva David Goff died in April 2011 in Davis, Tucker County, West Virginia, at age 92. He was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Thomas, Tucker County, West Virginia.

     Dolie Irene Vandevender was born on 30 September 1921 in Thornwood, Pocahontas County, West Virginia. As of before 1939,her married name was Goff. She married Alva David Goff, son of Jackson David Goff and May Pearl Caynor, before 1939. Dolie Irene Vandevender died on 7 October 1991 at age 70. She was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Thomas, Tucker County, West Virginia.

     Thomas C. Goff is the son of Alva David Goff and Dolie Irene Vandevender.
