     Jerry Mills Stewart was born on 4 February 1933 in Greenville, South Carolina. He married Randee Jeanne Bagwell, daughter of Cecil Lee Bagwell and Dorothy Faye Stewart, after 1971. Jerry Mills Stewart died on 21 December 2008 at age 75


Jerry Mills Stewart, 75, of 121 Wilson Way, husband of Randee Bagwell Stewart, died Sunday, December 21, 2008. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Lewis C. and Ruth Hollingsworth Stewart. A 1975 graduate of Furman University, Mr. Stewart was a retired Assistant Registrar with Greenville Technical College. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Mr. Stewart served in the US Navy and was retired from the US Air Force. He served in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter and son-in-law, Adryan and Jesse Pikus of Columbia; three sons, Jared Andrew Stewart of Piedmont, Christopher Michael Stewart of Easley, Bradley Thomas Stewart of Greenville; two grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Larry Appleton of Greenville; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael and Sandra Bednar of Rogersville, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Arthur Stewart and a sister, Sherylon Stewart Farmer. Because of his love of animals the family request memorials be made to the Greenville County Humane Society, 328 Furman Hall Road, Greenville, SC 29609. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will follow. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Charis Johanson and the entire nursing staff of the Neurosurgical ICU at Greenville Memorial Medical Center for their devoted care of Jerry. The family will be at the residence.
