Mr. Jerry Wendell Goff, 85, of Albany, died on Monday, November 20, 2023, at his residence.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Banks Funeral Home Chapel, interment will follow in the Providence Cemetery in Worth County. The Rev. David Wolfe will officiate.
Mr. Goff was born on July 28, 1938 in Columbus, Georgia, to the late John A. and Mildred Louise Reynolds Goff. He had lived in Albany since 1959 and was a veteran, having served in the United States National Guard. Mr. Goff was formerly employed with Rio Grocery in Albany, where he worked as a grocery merchandiser. He enjoyed riding his bicycle, doing yard work, and being outdoors. Mr. Goff loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his grandsons. He was a member of the Beacon Baptist Church in Albany.
Survivors include his daughters, Tamara Goff Piercey (Paul) of Albany, and Vicki Goff Glaze (Gerald) of McDonough, Georgia; grandsons, Joel Glaze (Victoria Ross), and Nathan Glaze (Gillian Bennington); siblings, Don Goff (Susan) of Augusta, Georgia, Steve Goff (Jerri) of Worth County, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Goff was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann McDonald Goff on July 21, 2011; daughter, Leigh Ann Goff on December 25, 1967; siblings, Norman Goff on October 7, 1957, Betty Goff Douglas on October 31, 2012, and a brother-in-law, Zeno Charles Douglas on February 21, 2020.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the service hour at Banks Funeral Home.

Ernest Melvin Goff married Rosa Lee Homes on 12 October 1930 at Worth County, Georgia. Ernest Melvin Goff died on 4 April 1994 in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia, at age 83. He was buried at Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Worth County, Georgia.

     Rosa Lee Homes married Ernest Melvin Goff, son of George Henry Goff and Hattie Tolya Hall, on 12 October 1930 at Worth County, Georgia.

     Cleveland Estella Goff was born on 6 August 1898 in Dooly County, Georgia. She was the daughter of George Henry Goff and Hattie Tolya Hall. As of 29 June 1917,her married name was Hogan. Cleveland Estella Goff married Luther Lee Hogan on 29 June 1917. Cleveland Estella Goff died on 20 November 1927 in Ben Hill County, Georgia, at age 29.
