     Dr. James Newton Bagwell was born on 8 July 1877 in Onancock, Accomack County, Virginia.1,2 He was the son of Isaiah William Bagwell and Sarah Poulson Edwards. James Newton was a dentist, having graduated from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He lived in Pocomake City, Maryland for a couple of years, then returned to Baltimore where he spent the rest of his life. He had attended a business school Poughkeepsie, New York before entering Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He married Dr. A. K. Garaphelia "Gara" Wareheim on 8 March 1900. Dr. James Newton Bagwell lived in 1907 in Baltimore, Maryland. He died on 9 February 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland, at age 69.1,2 He was buried at Mount Holly Cemetery, Onancock, Accomack County, Virginia.2
