Mr. Bagwell was born November 27, 1931 in Elberton, GA to Oren Martin "O.M." Bagwell and Sara Anne Bell Bagwell. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elberton.

Mr. Bagwell served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Army Reserve Center in Clemson, SC.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Bobbie Leona Wilson Bagwell; daughters: Alesia (Darren) Taylor of Warner Robbins, GA and Jennifer Bagwell of Blue Ridge, GA; three grandchildren: Chelsea, Jessica, Aaron; and three great-grandchildren: Carter, Evelyn and Cohen.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Sunday, September 10 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.1

He was buried at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Elberton, Elbert County, Georgia.1

Julia (Judy) Bagwell, 72 of Knoxville went home to be with her Lord September 12, 2017. She passed away at home with her loving family and friends around her. Judy was born December 18, 1944 in Kingsport, TN. She is preceded in death by the love of her life the Rev. Morris Bagwell. Parents Robert and Leathie Bowman, brothers Dewey, Robert (Bob), and James Bowman. Sisters Goldie Wills, Gearline Eastwood, and Sarah Ruth Pruett.

She is survived by her daughter Lora Trent of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law Lakieta and Jamie Graves; grandsons Erik and wife Danielle Trent, of Jefferson City and Ben and wife Natalie Bagwell of Knoxville; great granddaughter Kenzli Mae Trent; sisters Dorothy Dodson of Rogersville; Areatha Pratt of Church Hill; Sandra Lawson of Kingsport; brother Geronia and wife Christine Bowman of Sarasota, FL as well as many nieces and nephews.

Whether it was greeting guests at her church, cooking, or playing the piano and singing for worship, Judy lived to serve Christ and others. Judy loved her family with that same servant's heart and was affectionately known by them as "Mom Mom". Her home was always open for food and fellowship. The love she had for family overflowed to her church family, as well as the life-long friends she made over the years. Everyone was welcome at Mom Mom's house.

The life she lived here on Earth will have an eternal impact on countless others, both locally and around the globe. The love for her Lord lead her to missionary work in Turkey, South Africa, Poland, Italy, Greece, and Croatia.

The family will receive friends at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN on Friday, September 15 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Phil Nordstrom officiating. Interment in Lynnhurst Cemetery will be on Saturday, September 16 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Ralph Art Bagwell, 80, of 120 Luther Land Road, Seneca, SC, husband of Joyce Harris Bagwell, died Friday, October 5, 2012, at his residence.

A native of Anderson, SC, Rev. Bagwell was the son of the late Broadus and Gladys Holland Bagwell. He was a retired Southern Baptist Minister, and was a member of Golden Corner Church. He was the founder of Back to Christ and the Bible and President of See the World Tours for twenty-seven years where he conducted over twenty tours to the Holy Lands.

In addition to his wife, survivors include sons, Michael D. Bagwell (Connie) of Seneca, and Mark Bagwell (Sheila) of Walhalla; daughter, Glenda Chapman (Jerry) of Seneca; brother, Harold Bagwell of Milwaukee, WI; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Rev. Bagwell was predeceased by brothers, Jack Bagwell, Jim Bagwell, and Guy Bagwell; and sisters, Doris Feltman, and Francis Connely.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, October 8, 2012 at Rocky Knoll Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Oconee Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A designated seating area will be reserved for attending Ministers.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-4:00 PM Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Davenport Funeral Home.
