     Chad Everett Bagwell was born on 13 October 1970 in West Monroe, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. He was the son of Marion David Bagwell and Bonita Ann Myatts. Chad Everett Bagwell died on 3 March 2002 in Simsboro, Lincoln Parish, Louisiana, at age 31. He was buried on 7 March 2002 at Ansley Cemetery, Ansley, Jackson Parish, Louisiana.

     Christopher D. Bagwell is the son of Marion David Bagwell and Bonita Ann Myatts.

     Courtney Suzanne Bagwell was born on 25 March 1981 in Louisiana. She was the daughter of Marion David Bagwell and Bonita Ann Myatts. Courtney Suzanne Bagwell died on 20 October 2024 in Louisiana at age 43


Courtney Suzanne McDaniel was born March 25, 1981 and passed away October 20, 2024 at the age of 43.

Courtney loved hunting and fishing.

Courtney was preceded in death by the father of her children, Marcus Foster; grandparents, Nell and Gerald DeLoach; grandparents, Marion and Gertrude Bagwell; grandfather, Miller Weems.

     Mable Evelyn Taylor was born on 21 November 1919.¹ As of 19 June 1939,her married name was Bagwell. She married Claude Robert Bagwell, son of James Robert Bagwell and Evie Oneva Knight, on 19 June 1939 at Laurens County, South Carolina. Mable Evelyn Taylor died on 10 January 2003 at age 83.¹ She was buried on 13 January 2003 at Friendship Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Hickory Taven, Laurens County, South Carolina.¹

     Mable Carolina Bagwell was born on 6 September 1940. She was the daughter of Claude Robert Bagwell and Mable Evelyn Taylor. Mable Carolina Bagwell died on 8 December 2018 in Laurens, South Carolina, at age 78. She was buried at Friendship Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Hickory Tavern, Laurens County, South Carolina.

     Woodrow Madden married Ruby Nell Prather on 12 April 1934 at Laurens County, South Carolina.

     James Richard “Jim” McSweeney was born on 4 September 1930. He married Sylvia Bagwell, daughter of Frank Bagwell and Sibbel Evelyn Davenport, after 1963. James Richard (Jim) McSweeney. 63, of Route 1, died Jan. 29, 1994, at Grand Strand General Hospital in Myrtle Beach. He retired from the USAF after 20 years of service and retired from T. W. Services. He was a Catholic. Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Bagwell McSweeney of the home; two sons, Tony Lamar Hall and Lance Traynham; six daughters, Cynthia Delena McSweeney Chappelle, Tammy L. Hall, Sandy Chesney, Renee Lothridge, Barbie Traynham and Marcy Patterson; and a brother, Ralph Lawrence McSweeney. Burial at Friendship Presbyterian Church cemetery.      Nancy Ellen Bagwell was born on 5 July 1939. She was the daughter of Wayman Lee Bagwell and Clarette Satterfield. As of 15 September 1963,her married name was Butler. Nancy Ellen Bagwell married Roy A. Butler on 15 September 1963 at Greenville, South Carolina. Nancy Ellen Bagwell died on 19 August 2016 at age 77. She was buried at Cannon Memorial Park, Fountain Inn, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     Roy A. Butler married Nancy Ellen Bagwell, daughter of Wayman Lee Bagwell and Clarette Satterfield, on 15 September 1963 at Greenville, South Carolina.

     Gilbert Bagwell was born on 31 July 1925 in Calhoun, Gordon County, Georgia. He was the son of John Durell Bagwell and Willie Mae Adcox. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Gilbert Bagwell married Doris Edna Howerton before 1947. Gilbert Bagwell died on 8 November 1996 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, at age 71. He was buried at Gordon Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, Gordon County, Georgia.

     Doris Edna Howerton was born in 1925 in Georgia. As of before 1947,her married name was Bagwell. She married Gilbert Bagwell, son of John Durell Bagwell and Willie Mae Adcox, before 1947. Doris Edna Howerton died on 21 November 1969 in Gordon County, Georgia. She was buried at Gordon Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, Gordon County, Georgia.

     Joyce Bagwell was born on 11 June 1950 in Gordon County, Georgia. She was the daughter of Gilbert Bagwell and Doris Edna Howerton. Joyce Bagwell died on 13 June 2014 in Resaca, Gordon County, Georgia, at age 64


Joyce Bagwell Stephens Parker, 63, of Resaca passed away at her home on Friday, June 13, 2014.

Joyce was the daughter of the late Gilbert "Gib" Bagwell and the late Doris Edna Howerton Bagwell; she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Tate and Willie Mae Adcox Alexander; her brothers and sister-in-law, Ronald Bagwell and Gary and Linda Bagwell.

Survivors include her husband, Arnold Parker, of Resaca; son, Michael Stephens, of Chatsworth; daughters and son-in-law, Rhonda and Bill Wall, of Thomaston, Georgia, and Pamela Stephens Baker, of Tunnell Hill, Georgia; step-sons, Johnathan Parker, and Keith Parker and family; step-daughters and their families, Christy Parker, Ashley Parker, and Kaitlyn Parker; grandchildren, Zachary Wall, Cody Wall, Mitchell Stone, Billy Powell Jr., Kelsey Stephens, Brady Powell, Mason Wall, and Mikayla Stephens; special friends, Beverly Manis Barker, Judy Davis Henson, and Glenda Stephens; nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Services for Mrs. Joyce Parker will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Richard Hendrix officiating. Interment will follow at Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Ritchie Stephens, Billy Flemister, Barry Shirley, and Joe Guffey; honorary pallbearers are Cody Wall, Mitchell Stone, Billy Powell, Brady Powell, Zachary Wall, and Mason Wall.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m.

     Fay C. Britt was born in 1933. As of December 1954,her married name was Bagwell. She married Larkin George Bagwell, son of Larkin Ellis Bagwell Jr. and Fetney Elsie McMickin, in December 1954 at Mobile County, Alabama. Fay C. Britt died in 1994. She was buried at Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama.

     Frances (?) married Larkin George Bagwell, son of Larkin Ellis Bagwell Jr. and Fetney Elsie McMickin, before 1954. Frances (?) and Larkin George Bagwell were divorced in September 1954.

     (?) Armstrong married Helen Bagwell, daughter of Dewitte W. Bagwell and Annie Mae Cannon, after 1946.

     Oscar E. Dalton was born in 1888. He married Jenie Bagwell, daughter of Sanford Eugene Bagwell and Margaret “Maggie” Cole, after 1915. Oscar E. Dalton died in 1951. He was buried at Sunset Memorial Park, Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

     Clarence Wayne Bagwell was born on 4 June 1956 in Joanna, Laurens County, South Carolina. He was the son of Clarence Ross Bagwell and Daisy Marie Shaver. Clarence Wayne Bagwell married Nancy Elizabeth (?) after 1974. Clarence Wayne Bagwell died on 18 August 2022 in Laurens, South Carolina, at age 66. He was buried on 21 August 2022 at Forest Lawn East, Clinton, South Carolina.

     Johnny R. Bagwell is the son of Clarence Ross Bagwell and Daisy Marie Shaver. Johnny R. Bagwell married Margaret (?) after 1977.

     Henry Wayne Bagwell was born on 6 April 1958 in Anderson, South Carolina. He was the son of Henry Lafayette Bagwell and Jessie Mae Bolt. Henry Wayne Bagwell married Nancy Omera Davis on 29 May 1982 at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church of Laurens, Laurens County, South Carolina. Henry Wayne Bagwell died on 24 January 2026 in Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, South Carolina, at age 67


Henry Wayne Bagwell, age 67, of the Hickory Tavern community, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born April 6, 1958, in Anderson, South Carolina, Wayne was the son of the late Henry L. Bagwell and Jessie Mae Bolt Bagwell.

Wayne will be remembered most for his deep love for his family and the joy he found in being together. For 43 years, he shared a faithful and loving marriage with his wife, Omera Davis Bagwell of Hickory Tavern. He was a proud father to Brenton Wayne Bagwell (Abby) and Brandi Bagwell Strickland (Matt), all of Hickory Tavern. His greatest happiness came from being Poppa to his grandchildren, Tucker William Strickland, Brooks Thomas Strickland, and Palmer Ann Bagwell, who brought endless pride and smiles to his life.

He is also survived by his brother, Steven Berry Bagwell (Susan) of Hickory Tavern; his niece, Shannon Bagwell Holmes of Hickory Tavern; and his great-niece and great-nephew, Hollyn Grace Holmes and Steven Cooper Holmes of Hickory Tavern.

A man of strong faith, Wayne was a longtime member of Rabun Creek Baptist Church, where he served in many roles over the years and built lasting friendships. He was a graduate of Clemson University, Class of 1980, and dedicated many years of hard work to Cincinnati Milacron in Fountain Inn, South Carolina as a Project Engineer.

Wayne enjoyed life in a way that made others feel at home. He loved cooking for family gatherings, cheering on Clemson football, and heading to the beach whenever he had the chance. He was an avid fan of The Andy Griffith Show and visited Mayberry Days in Mount Airy, North Carolina, a tradition that perfectly matched his appreciation for simple, meaningful things.

The family will receive friends at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. Alex D. Henderson, Rev. Michael Beeks, and Rev. Marcus Bishop, with a graveside service immediately afterward at the church cemetery.
