Judy was born January 4, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1961. She worked 27 years as a bookkeeper for Mike Moncrief and also worked part time at Greenwood Funeral Home for 20 years.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved her horses. She was also a world traveler making multiple trips to five of the world continents.

She was preceded in death by her parents Beverly and Johan Bagwell, her sister, Gerry Dene Tucker and her brother Beverly Lloyd Bagwell. She is survived by her three sons, Neon Stewart, Aaron Stewart and Derek Stewart: her two granddaughters, Cameron Stewart and Kara Stewart.


She was buried on 21 January 2025 at Greenwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.

     Nancy Jean Fransen married Terry Lynn Bagwell, son of Clovis Othell Bagwell and Ruth Helen Boster, on 29 September 1963 at Alturas, California.

     Colton Samuel Bagwell was born on 16 January 1996 in Dumas, Texas. He was the son of Russell Aaron Bagwell and Heather Owen Wayne Hagar. Colton Samuel Bagwell died on 1 April 2023 in Amarillo, Texas, at age 27

Colton Samuel Bagwell, 27, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on April 1, 2023.

Colton was born in Dumas, Texas on January 16, 1996, to Heather Hagar and Russell Bagwell.
Colton was a remarkable person who lived his life with pride and passion. He was a proud member of the LGBTQ community and never shied away from expressing his true self. He had a deep interest in history and was always eager to learn more about the world around him. Colton was known for his kind and compassionate nature. He had a heart full of love and cared deeply for those around him. He was a loyal friend and a loving partner, and his presence brought joy and happiness to all who knew him.
Despite facing numerous challenges, Colton was determined to complete his GED and pursue his dreams of a career in computer science. He was driven by his love for technology and a desire to make a positive impact on the world.
Sadly, Colton's life was cut short, but his legacy lives on through the memories and love of those who knew him. He will always be remembered as a courageous and inspiring individual who lived life to the fullest and touched the hearts of many.

     Sheridan Sue “Sherry” Bagwell was born on 21 July 1945 in Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida. She was the daughter of Captain Emory Ezekiel Bagwell and Dora Miram Goode. Sheridan Sue “Sherry” Bagwell died on 2 January 2019 in Lake City, Columbia County, Florida, at age 73


Sheridan S. Bagwell, 73, went to her heavenly home on January 2, 2019, after battling with cancer. Sheridan was born in Gainesville, FL to the late Miram Byrd and Emory "Zek" Bagwell. She grew up in Alachua County and resided there most of her life.

Sheridan was known by those close to her as someone you could always count on if you needed help with anything. Some of her most memorable accomplishments are that she fought many years for women's rights, she marched across the bridge in Selma, AL and went to Louisiana to assist with relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina.

Sheridan loved the outdoors, especially fishing or kayaking on the river. One of her best fishing stories was when she held the record for the largest Snook caught on Sanibel Island. She also had a great love for animals, particularly her cat, Bella.

She is survived by two sisters, Donna Curls (Darrell) of Live Oak, FL and Emelyn Palm of Williston, FL. She is also survived by two nephews, J.D. Curls (Jennifer) of Live Oak, FL and Karl Palm (Darci) of San Marcos, CA; 2 nieces, Sheridan Curls of Gainesville, FL and Kelsey Newsome (Jeremy) of Pikeville, NC; and 3 great nephews and 1 great niece, Jaylen, Max, Logan and Mallory.

     Donna Bagwell is the daughter of Captain Emory Ezekiel Bagwell and Dora Miram Goode. Donna Bagwell married Darrell Curls after 1966.

     Era Mae Bagwell was born on 27 January 1941 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was the daughter of William Crayton Bagwell and Melba Belle McDaniel. As of after 1958,her married name was Coleman. Era Mae Bagwell married Carroll William Coleman Sr. after 1958. Era Mae Bagwell died on 9 July 2023 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at age 82

Era Mae Bagwell Coleman, 82, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Era was born January 27, 1941, in Winston-Salem, NC, a daughter to the late William Crayton Bagwell, Sr. and Maebelle McDaniel Bagwell. She was the widow of Carroll William Coleman, Sr.

A charter member of Covenant Baptist Church, Era attended the Joy Sunday School Class and visited the church’s homebound members. She was retired from the Spartanburg County Delinquent Tax Office.

Surviving is her daughter, Kristie Pruitt Martin (Evin); her sons, John Pruitt and George Pruitt (Margie); 5 grandchildren, Zach, Joshua, Allie, Seth and Matthew; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Bill Bagwell; her twin sister, Ruby Manly (Tom); and sisters, Dianne Graham, and Robbie Small (Johnson). Era was also predeceased by her sister, Lucy Evans and her husband, Glenn and her sister-in-law, Joan Bagwell.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Covenant Baptist Church, 200 Evangel Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. Funeral services will follow in the Church Sanctuary at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 126 Fort Prince Road, Wellford, SC 29385.

     Lucy Ann Bagwell was born on 22 June 1939. She was the daughter of William Crayton Bagwell and Melba Belle McDaniel. As of after 1958,her married name was Evans. Lucy Ann Bagwell married Glenn M. Evans after 1958. Lucy Ann Bagwell died on 12 March 2022 at age 82.

     Glenn M. Evans married Lucy Ann Bagwell, daughter of William Crayton Bagwell and Melba Belle McDaniel, after 1958.

     Janet Lea Bagwell is the daughter of William Crayton Bagwell II and Helen A. Tinsley. Janet Lea Bagwell married Trygve Olof Sorenson on 22 June 1991 at Greenville, South Carolina.

     Virginia Ruth Bagwell is the daughter of Winfield Calloway Bagwell Jr. and Frances Fay Stallard. Virginia Ruth Bagwell married Gerald Willis Dingus on 12 September 1966.

     Gerald Willis Dingus was born on 14 March 1944 in Tennessee. He married Virginia Ruth Bagwell, daughter of Winfield Calloway Bagwell Jr. and Frances Fay Stallard, on 12 September 1966. Gerald Willis Dingus died on 12 June 2004 in Kingsport, Sullivan County, Tennessee, at age 60.

     Alverdia Bekius married Clive Winton Bagwell, son of Frank Staley Bagwell and Esta Belle Zellner, on 4 September 1929 at Waterloo, Iowa.

     William Vincent Bagwell is the son of Clive Winton Bagwell and Alverdia Bekius.

     Carolyn Faye Kyzer was born on 22 September 1950 in Lexington County, South Carolina. As of 19 May 1970,her married name was Bagwell. She married Stephen Joe Bagwell, son of Daniel Howard Bagwell and Sarah Agnes Greene, on 19 May 1970. Carolyn Faye Kyzer died on 14 June 2015 in Hopkins, Richland County, South Carolina, at age 64


Carolyn Kyzer Bagwell, 62, of Hopkins, SC went to be with the Lord on Sunday June 14, 2015. She passed peacefully in the warmth of her loving home.

Carolyn is survived by her devoted and loving husband Stephen J Bagwell whom she met at Welcome Baptist Church in 1969 then married in 1970 for 45 dedicated years; her daughters, Stephanie Becknell her husband Chuck and their two children Phen and Alex, and Melissa Cook her husband Jamey and their two children Taylor and Nolan; her brother Johnny Kyzer and a host of other family and friends. She is predeceased by her father Carroll L. Kyzer; Mother Evelyn Earnestine Kyzer; Sisters Mary and Suzy Kyzer.

Her greatest love was spending time with her four grandchildren (She called them "Precious Cargo") in any capacity whether cooking, consoling, activities they participated in, and every bump, scrape, or sickness. She enjoyed baking, crafting, gardening, and being the best wife, mother, and grandmother that she could possibly be. Her idea of a gift was a week at the beach with her family. You could always count on her positive attitude and energetic spirit to be there as anyone's friend, teacher, coach, counselor, or mother.

This beautiful angel will be missed for her love for all children and positive attitude.

     Terri Leigh Stephens was born on 27 September 1959. As of after 1978,her married name was Bagwell. She married James Curtis Bagwell after 1978. Terri Leigh Stephens died on 31 December 2022 at age 63. She was buried on 4 January 2023 at Alta Vista Cemetery, Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia.

     Erica Leann Bagwell died on 4 April 1983 in Georgia. She was born on 4 April 1983 in Georgia. She was the daughter of James Curtis Bagwell and Terri Leigh Stephens. Erica Leann Bagwell was buried on 7 April 1984 at Alta Vista Cemetery, Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia.

     Louise McIntire married Harry Frank Bagwell, son of George Franklin Bagwell and Lena Meaders, before 1983.

     Sally Bagwell is the daughter of Harry Frank Bagwell and Sally Grace Buice. Sally Bagwell married Don Higgins after 1949.
