Funeral services for Mr. Kelly Dane Bagwell, age 41 of Bernice, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Culbertson Baptist Church near Farmerville, LA with Rev. Scott Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in the Culbertson Cemetery near Farmerville under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.
Kelly was born February 23, 1982 in Homer, LA to Harold Keith Bagwell and Jo Marie Emory and passed away July 17, 2023 in Shreveport, LA. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Kelly's hobbies over the years were hunting, fishing, dirt track racing and watching his kids play baseball. He was first diagnosed with cancer in 2018. In May 2023, Kelly was diagnosed again with cancer. His last days were spent surrounded by a room full of friends and family who were telling stories and sharing memories. Kelly was preceded in death by his grandparents: Finus Dwain "Buster" Bagwell, Florice "Happy" Bagwell, Jud Emory and Josephine Emory Smith; aunt Kay Bagwell Thompson; and uncles Glen Bagwell and Scott Frazier.
Kelly is survived by his parents Keith Bagwell (Susan) and Marie Clark; sons Braden Bagwell and Cameron Bagwell; one brother Casey Bagwell; grandfather Nolan Coleman (Margaret); aunts and uncles: Doug Bagwell (Suzette), Janis Bagwell Cooper (Brett), Tracey Bagwell, Brent Coleman (Jan), Geni Coleman Smith (Mark) and Janet Frazier; special friend Pagan Peaks; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and many friends.
The family would like to take the time to give a big heart felt thank you to the numerous people in 2018 that helped with fundraisers and donations.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Bagwell, Rodney Bagwell, Joey Bagwell, Cody Bagwell, Little Glen Bagwell, Garrett Frazier and Brandon Watts.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, July 21, 2023 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston.

     Robert L. Bagwell was born on 12 November 1941 in Nashville, Illinois. He was the son of Walter Ralph Bagwell and Minnie Margaret Kramm. Robert L. Bagwell married Ann Ray on 20 August 1971. Robert L. Bagwell died on 7 October 2019 at age 77. He was buried on 10 October 2019 at Sullivan IOOF Cemetery, Sullivan, Franklin County, Missouri.

     Dolly Bagwell is the daughter of Walter Ralph Bagwell and Minnie Margaret Kramm.

     Sandie Bagwell is the daughter of Walter Ralph Bagwell and Minnie Margaret Kramm.

     Patsy Bagwell is the daughter of Walter Ralph Bagwell and Minnie Margaret Kramm.

     Ann Ray was born on 22 January 1948 in Blytheville, Arkansas. As of 20 August 1971,her married name was Bagwell. She married Robert L. Bagwell, son of Walter Ralph Bagwell and Minnie Margaret Kramm, on 20 August 1971. Ann Ray died on 26 February 2003 in St. Louis, Missouri, at age 55. She was buried on 1 March 2003 at Sullivan IOOF Cemetery, Sullivan, Franklin County, Missouri.

     Brad Bagwell is the son of Robert L. Bagwell and Ann Ray. Brad Bagwell married Kelly (?) after 1991.

     Alex Bagwell was born on 12 January 1872 in Georgia. He married Louella Moore on 21 December 1899 at Brown County, Texas. Alex Bagwell died on 6 November 1923 in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas, at age 51. He was buried at Greenleaf Cemetery, Brownwood, Brown County, Texas.

     Louella Moore was born in 1881. As of 21 December 1899,her married name was Bagwell. She married Alex Bagwell on 21 December 1899 at Brown County, Texas. Louella Moore died in 1931.

     Mollie Mae Hooey married Alexander Roy Bagwell, son of Alexander Roy Bagwell and Luetta Eliga Moore, on 12 July 1936 at Brownwood, Brown County, Texas.

     Harrel Luther Marcell Bagwell is the son of Alexander Roy Bagwell and Mollie Mae Hooey. Harrel Luther Marcell Bagwell married Cynthia Marie Harris on 2 November 1980 at San Francisco County, California.
