     Beth Elaine Bagwell is the daughter of Stanley Calvin Bagwell and Jeanette Arlene Hurley.

     Douglas Allen Bagwell was born on 22 January 1949 in Riverside County, California. He was the son of Stanley Calvin Bagwell and Jeanette Arlene Hurley. Douglas Allen Bagwell married Susan P. Breeden on 7 August 1971 at Riverside County, California. Douglas Allen Bagwell and Susan P. Breeden were divorced in July 1974. Douglas Allen Bagwell died on 5 October 2024 at age 75.

     Susan P. Breeden married Douglas Allen Bagwell, son of Stanley Calvin Bagwell and Jeanette Arlene Hurley, on 7 August 1971 at Riverside County, California. Susan P. Breeden and Douglas Allen Bagwell were divorced in July 1974.

     Thomas Alvoid Bagwell was born on 9 April 1952. He married Elizabeth Fortner after 1978. Thomas Alvoid Bagwell died on 29 September 2024 in Brookhaven, Georgia, at age 72.

     Nellie Ann Bagwell was born on 27 June 1937 in Georgia. She was the daughter of Thomas Robert Bagwell and Willie Mae Coker. As of after 1956,her married name was Wynn. Nellie Ann Bagwell married (?) Wynn after 1956. Nellie Ann Bagwell died on 2 March 1997 at age 59. She was buried at Wofford Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery, White, Bartow County, Georgia.

     (?) Wynn married Nellie Ann Bagwell, daughter of Thomas Robert Bagwell and Willie Mae Coker, after 1956.

     Charlotte Mae Bagwell was born on 8 February 1939 in Georgia. She was the daughter of Thomas Robert Bagwell and Willie Mae Coker. Charlotte Mae Bagwell died on 29 March 2004 at age 65. She was buried at Old Taylorsville Church Cemetery, Polk County, Georgia.

     Joann Rae Bagwell was born on 13 March 1937 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. She was the daughter of Lt. Col. Raiford Oscar Bagwell and Bessie Mae Hall. As of 22 June 1963,her married name was Haman. Joann Rae Bagwell married David Bruce Haman on 22 June 1963 at Pensacola, Florida. Joann Rae Bagwell and David Bruce Haman were divorced on 17 February 1989 at Volusia County, Florida. Joann Rae Bagwell died on 31 December 2025 in Ozark, Dale County, Alabama, at age 88



BAGWELL’S CROSSROADS…MORRIS, JoAnn Bagwell “Jodi/ JoJo”, age 88, of Ozark, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Dale Medical Center in Ozark.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the First United Methodist Church of Ozark with the Reverend Dr. Jason Thrower and Pastor Michael Woodham officiating. Burial will follow in Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SAV A PET, 295 Jerry Drive, Dothan, Alabama 36303.

Jodi was born on March 13, 1937, in Atlanta (Fulton County), Georgia, the daughter of the late Lt. Col Ray O. Bagwell and the late Bess Hall Bagwell of Dothan, Al.

Jodi was a graduate of Howard College with a Bachelor of Science. While at Howard College she was an active member of Opera Workshop Performances performing several arias and duets from grand operas. She also was a graduate of Sanford University with a degree in Music. Jodi started teaching in Pensacola, Fl then moved to Newnan, GA where she also received her Masters in Education. While in Newnan Jodi was an opera singer with the Newnan Theatre Company playing in several plays such as “Once Upon A Mattress” and “The Sneeze” scene from “The Good Doctor”.

From there she and her family moved to Dothan, Alabama after the loss of her father Lt. Col Ray O. Bagwell. There she taught science at Girard Middle School until her retirement. Jodi built her dream home and farm in Ozark, Al where she taught horse riding lessons which was a passion of hers. Another passion was her flowers and working in her yard and on the farm. You could find her most days either weeding or driving her tractor.

She spent many years as a volunteer for Save A Pet in Dothan where she fostered a multitude of animals. She also volunteered her time with shelters around the Dothan/Ozark area.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ozark where she was a faithful member of the choir. Jodi was also a member of her Bagwell Family church at Chalkhead Baptist where she will be interred.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Haman, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Donna Haman, Auburn, Alabama, and their son, Colton Haman, a daughter, Andrea Medina and son-in-law, Mark Medina, Blairsville, Georgia, first cousins Charles and Jeanelle Strickland, 1st cousins Earl and Carolyn Tillman, 1st cousin Martha Moreland and numerous other special family members.

The family wants to extend a warm thanks to Charles and Jeanelle Strickland for the care and love they gave to JoJo while taking care of all her needs. Special thanks to Dennis and Carrie Shaw for the care you gave to JoJo. Special thanks to Sarah Fisk for all she did for the family. Special thanks to Larry Mather for taking such wonderful care of the farm and farm animals.

Thank you to the Dale Medical Center nurses and staff that took care of JoAnn throughout her time there. Also, thank you to the Dale Medical Center Home Health and Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center. The family also would like to thank John Cawley and the Staff of Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home for their loving care and guidance during this time.

Pall Bearers will be Loyd Jackson, Kelly Strickland, Steve McDaniel, Larry Mather, Eddie Hawkins, Jason Blunt. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Stanford Powers, Robert Dyson, Gary Pritchett, Steve Maund, Ray Shaw and Steve Harwell.


She was buried on 10 January 2026 at Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery, Ewell, Dale County, Alabama.

     David Bruce Haman married Joann Rae Bagwell, daughter of Lt. Col. Raiford Oscar Bagwell and Bessie Mae Hall, on 22 June 1963 at Pensacola, Florida. David Bruce Haman and Joann Rae Bagwell were divorced on 17 February 1989 at Volusia County, Florida.

     Pauline Robin Bagwell was born on 7 November 1957 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. She died on 8 November 1957 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. She was the daughter of Robert Daniel Bagwell and Pamela Murrell. Pauline Robin Bagwell was buried at East Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, Lawrenceville, Gwinnett County, Georgia.

     William Jason Bagwell is the son of James Walker Bagwell and Kathy Anne Garrett.

     Randall Chip Bagwell is the son of Randall Lee Bagwell and Pamela Kaye Ruse.

     Debra J. Bagwell is the daughter of Randall Lee Bagwell and Pamela Kaye Ruse. Debra J. Bagwell married (?) Long after 2010.

     Jonathan Bagwell is the son of Robert Emmett Bagwell and Zelpha Jessamine McCoy.

     Joshua Bagwell is the son of Randy Bagwell. Joshua Bagwell married Harley Lusk after 1996.

     Harley Lusk married Joshua Bagwell, son of Randy Bagwell, after 1996.

     Tyler Bagwell is the son of Joshua Bagwell and Harley Lusk.

     Tanner Bagwell is the son of Joshua Bagwell and Harley Lusk.

     Gene Stallard married Martha Bagwell, daughter of Boyce Roland Bagwell and Alice Avanelle Browning, after 1970.

     Ernest W. Bagwell was born in 1947. He was the son of Linwood Lewis Bagwell and Lillie Mae Rue. Ernest W. Bagwell died in 1976. He was buried at Saint John 2nd Baptist Church Cemetery, Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware.

     William Bagwell Burton was born on 5 June 1780. He married Catharine Bagwell, daughter of William Bagwell and Ann Burton, after 1795. William Bagwell Burton died on 25 July 1844 at age 64. He was buried at Saint Georges Chapel Cemetery, Harbeson, Sussex County, Delaware.

     Ann Cord was born in 1722 in Sussex County, Delaware. As of after 1740,her married name was Bagwell. She married Thomas Bagwell, son of Francis Bagwell and Catherine Burton, after 1740. Ann Cord died on 17 August 1811 in Sussex County, Delaware.

     Ann Bagwell was born in 1744 in Sussex County, Delaware. She was the daughter of Thomas Bagwell and Ann Cord.

     Catherine Bagwell was born in 1758 in Delaware. She was the daughter of Thomas Bagwell and Ann Cord.

     Elizabeth Bagwell was born in 1746 in Delaware. She was the daughter of Thomas Bagwell and Ann Cord.
