Myron Eugene Bagwell, age 44, of Knoxville, Tennessee, died Thursday, October 29 in Knoxville. Graveside services were held Sunday, November 1 at Houston Cemetery with the Rev. T J Funderburk officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Linda Sharp Bagwell of Knoxville; two sons, Myron Eugene Bagwell, Jr. and William Flynt Bagwell, both of Knoxville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bagwell of Cleveland and one sister, Mrs. Betty Ann Cooper of Shaw.

Pallbearers were Mack Southern, Flynt Sharp, Millard Sharp, Ernie Leson, Travis Rayner and Travis Cooper.

Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.1

He was buried at Houston Cemetery, Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi.1

Betty Ann was born April 17, 1938 to Wayne and Mary Emma Bagwell. Wife of 47 years to Travis E Cooper, Sr., Betty Ann was mother to 3 children, Travis E "Chip" Cooper, Jr (wife, Janet McCollum Cooper and children--Blaine and Samuel), Bradley A Cooper (wife, Angela McCoy Cooper and child, Britton), Carmen E Cooper Oguz (husband, Cetin Oguz and children--Cooper and Cruz).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Mary Emma Bagwell, and her brother Myron Eugene Bagwell.
Betty Ann graduated from Cleveland High School, Delta State University, and University of Tennessee with a degree in Medical Technology. She was manager of the North Sunflower County Hospital's laboratory for 30 years. Retirement didn't suit Betty Ann, so she finished her career by working another 10 years as a technologist at Bolivar Medical Center. Also known as Pee Willy, also known as Mustang Betty…she never ceased to be known for her love, affection, and affinity for her family, antique convertible Mustang restoration, and her dogs. Even though she was retired, she never ceased caring for others as evidenced by the many hours she spent monitoring the illnesses and cures of others on the Caring Bridge website.
Because of her husband's and sons' involvement with the LSR Volunteer Fire Department, Betty Ann requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the LSR Volunteer Fire Department at 996 Steiner Road, Shaw, Mississippi 38773.

William Henry "Bill" Bagwell

Services for William Henry "Bill" Bagwell, 95, of Ackerman were Jan. 14, 2010, at Coleman Funeral Home.

Mr. Bagwell was a retired carpenter and plumber. He was a veteran, having served in the Seabees in the Aleutian Islands during World War II. He was a member of Enon Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder, and was a member of the Masonic lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star. He died Jan. 10, 2010 at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.

Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Hazel McCarthur Bagwell of Ackerman; a son, Dr. Billy McCarthur Bagwell of Hattiesburg; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Bagwell McIntire.

In 1920, the family requested his remains exhumed and returned home.1 He was buried at Bethlehem Cemetery, Ackerman, Choctaw County, Mississippi.1

Mrs. Mavis Bagwell Holman, 89, of Columbus formerly of Choctaw County, died of cancer Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood.

Mrs. Holman, a homemaker, was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Choctaw County. She was the widow of the late Joe Tom Holman and the daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. John Bagwell. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norman Jo Pruden; and two sons, John David Holman and Billy Jean Holman, also one grandson, David Wayne Pruden.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Oliver Chapel with the Rev. John L. Walker officiating. Burial was in Enon Cemetery in Ackernan.

Mrs. Holman is survived by two daughters, Peggy Wallace of Jackson, Sue Haley of McCarley; one son, Thomas G. Holman of Columbus; one sister, Minerva Williams of Ackerman; one brother. Bill Bagwell of Ackerman; 11 grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Randy Holman, Jeff Holman, Joey Holman, Bruce Holman, Maury Mims, and Jimmy Steadman.

Honorary pallbearers were Mike Howell and Opie Wynne.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Family Life Center Building Fund, P. O. Box 408, Winona, MS 38967.

ABERDEEN - Services for Myrtle Norene Bagwell Plunkett, 70, who died Monday at the Care Center of Aberdeen, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial chapel in Aberdeen with Bro. James Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery.

Mrs. Plunkett was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama and had lived in Aberdeen since 1954. She was a seamstress at Sharp Garment Company, a homemaker and a member of the Aberdeen Church of God.

She leaves her husband, Orvil Plunkett of Aberdeen; a daughter, Donna Marie Sirasombath of Tupelo; two sons, Richard Plunkett of Tupelo and Tommy Plunkett of Aberdeen; three sisters, Elease Bowen and Modine Wofford, both of Aberdeen, and Sara Gilmore of Dallas, Texas and five grandchildren, Kristen Plunkett, Brittany Plunkett, Walker Plunkett, Josh Roebuck and Aysa Sirasombath.


She was buried at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery, Arberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi.
