Jimmie B Byrd was born on September 6, 1919 in Stewart Coounty, Tennessee, the son of Thomas H Byrd (1892-1977) and Flossie E (Smith) Byrd (1895-1973).

He was married to Thelma Bagwell.

A retired carpenter with the Civil Service at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, he was also a US Army veteran of World War II, a member of Wyatt's Chapel United Methodist Church where he was the former Sunday school superintendent, and a Mason.

Jimmie was 94 years old and a resident of Dyersburg, Tennessee when he passed away on August 11, 2014 in Jackson at Madison County General Hospital.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Joe Byrd, William Byrd, Smith Byrd, Kelly Byrd and Fred Byrd, and by his son-in-law Michael Willis. Survivors include his wife; a daughter; grandson; two brothers; and a sister.

Burial was in Fairview Cemetery at Indian Mound.

Maybell Bagwell married William Cleveland Jones after 1900. Maybell Bagwell died on 15 February 1930 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, at age 44. She was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina. She was buried at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery, Greer, Greenville County, South Carolina.

Charles Thomas Shrader was born on April 16, 1861 in Kentucky, a son of Michael Washington "Mike" Shrader (1796–1885) and his wife Mary Jane (Hardy) Shrader (1827–1895).

He was married 1st on May 7, 1886 in Trigg County, Kentucky to Eliza Jane Bryant (1858-1918), and she was the daughter of George Washington Bryant (1817–1899) and his wife Nancy Elizabeth (Rose) Bryant (1829–1902). Charles was married 2nd in Stewart County, Tennessee on February 9, 1920 as the 2nd husband of Princess "Eulalia" (Green) Bagwell (1893–1977), and she was a daughter of William Henry Green (1858-1911) and his wife Margaret Eleanor (Williams) Green (1861-1914).

A farmer in Montgomery County, Tennessee, he was 77 years old and married when he passed away on September 22, 1938 in Montgomery County. Burial the next day in Bryant Cemetery.

CORDELE — Johnny Lawrence Bagwell, 65, of Cordele died Friday, Aug. 14, 2020, at his residence. Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service while observing social distancing. In accordance with the COVID-19 regulations, face masks or face coverings are recommended and seating will be limited due to social distancing requirements.

Mr. Bagwell was born in Cordele, Ga. to the late Lawrence Bagwell and the late Mina Lou Ergle Bagwell. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Rayburn Lee Bagwell. He was a self-employed mechanic and enjoyed late model car racing. He loved his children and grandchildren and they considered him a great grill master.

He is survived by his children: Cindy Sutton of Perry, Christi Jackson, Johnny Bagwell, Jr. and Sabrina Bagwell all of Cordele; his step-children: Nicholas Bridges and Kaylyn Bridges both of Cordele; his brother: Winfred Bagwell of Cordele; his grandchildren: Savannah Sutton of Perry, Bristen Jackson of Cordele and Amerion Blanks all of Cordele; his nieces: Dee Bagwell and Jamie Bagwell both of Cordele; his nephews: Michael Bagwell and Jason Bagwell both of Cordele and Richie Bagwell of Polk County, Fla; and his sister-in-law: Ann Bagwell of Sylvester.


He was cremated.
