Mary Hazel Stephens Bagwell, 98, widow of John Earl Bagwell, Jr., passed away October 20, 2021.

A native of Cornelia, GA, daughter of the late Floyd Bush and Emma Farmer Stephens, she was retired from Steel Heddle, a caregiver and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are three sons, Don Howell of Laurens; Steve Bagwell (Kim) of Taylors; Rick Bagwell (Teresa) of Greer; one daughter,' Jane Bagwell Schneider (Frank) of Taylors; on daughter-in-law, Janice of Greer; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Bagwell was predeceased by one son, Tim Howell, three brothers and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Monday, October 25, 2021, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

"There are two blacksmith, wood and repair shops. One is owned and operated by Mr. T. A. Hall, recently from South Carolina, and the other is run by Mr. M. V. Bagwell, who has followed his trade here for several years. Both shops are conducted in such manner as fill all requirements of their numerous patrons."

M.V. Bagwell, for twenty years a resident of Bowman, died Sunday afternoon. He had been sick for some months. Mr. Bagwell was about 66 years of age, and had been married twice. His second wife survives him. He leaves five children by his first marriage, Mrs. Alice Hulme, Emory, Van, John and Orrin Bagwell. The funeral services were conducted at Bowman Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with interment in Bowman
cemetery.1
He was buried at Hillcrest Cemetery, Bowman, Elbert County, Georgia.1
