     Naomi Christine Fitzgerald was born on 13 December 1929 in Mississippi. As of after 1950,her married name was Bagwell. She married James Monroe Bagwell, son of Sergeant Whitte Olsvert Bagwell and Lessie Livingston Gilbreath, after 1950. Naomi Christine Fitzgerald died on 29 July 2013 in Alabama at age 83


Bagwell, Naomi Christine Fitzgerald, 83, of Argo (previously Mt. Olive), passed away on July 29, 2013, after a mercifully brief encounter with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, James ("Jim") Bagwell; her parents, Rolfe and Lula Mae Fitzgerald; brothers David, Donald, Dewitt, and Byron Fitzgerald; and grandson, James Walworth. She is survived by children, Jill Walworth (Van), of Lebanon, TN; Clifford Bagwell (Karen), of Springville, AL; Beth Phillips (Tom) of Argo, AL; Jane Forehand (C. E.) of Norfolk, VA; and Timothy Bagwell (Ashlyn), of Gardendale, AL. She is also survived by her brothers Ray (Lucille) Fitzgerald and Stephen (Joyce) Fitzgerald, both of New Albany, MS. She and Jim were blessed with thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and many, many friends. She was a member of Argo Christian Fellowship, and is present with the Lord at this moment. The only daughter of seven children, she was born on December 13, 1929, and was raised on a farm outside of New Albany, MS. After graduating from Mississippi State at age 19, she eventually settled in Tuscaloosa, AL, where she met Jim, a returning veteran of the Korean War, at a mixer where her pasta dish caught his attention. Besides being a homemaker and devoted mother, she served on the Jefferson County and state Republican Executive Committees, sold real estate, helped start the Northern Arts Council in Jefferson County and was a community and school volunteer. She excelled at anything she tried. She was a loving friend, nurturer, exceptionally intelligent, an artist, musician, craftswoman, chef, modest, self-sacrificial. She lived Galatians 5:22-23. The family thanks everyone for the many prayers and kind gestures offered during this past month, and extends a special thank you to her sitters: Rachel Dent, Lisa Butler, and Denise Crowe. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 12-2 at Argo Christian Fellowship, 936 U.S. Hwy 11. The service will follow at 2 and burial in the adjoining cemetery.

     Beth Bagwell is the daughter of James Monroe Bagwell and Naomi Christine Fitzgerald. Beth Bagwell married Tom Phillips after 1970.

     Jane Erin Bagwell is the daughter of James Monroe Bagwell and Naomi Christine Fitzgerald. Jane Erin Bagwell married C. E. Forehand after 1982.

     Timothy J. Bagwell is the son of James Monroe Bagwell and Naomi Christine Fitzgerald. Timothy J. Bagwell married Ashlyn Dari (?) after 1986.

     Ruth Anderson married Sergeant Whitte Olsvert Bagwell, son of William Wiley Bagwell and Sarah Lela Baker, on 4 September 1917 at Evanston, Uinta County, Wyoming.¹

     Anthony J. Bagwell is the son of James Anthony Bagwell and Marjurey Armita Lyle.

     William P. Bagwell was born in November 1876 in Bowman, Elbert County, Georgia. He was the son of Martin VanBuren Bagwell and Sara Emily Nelms. He enlisted in the US Army for a period of 3 years. William P. Bagwell lived in 1900 in Bongas, Philippines. He lived in 1900 in Military and Naval Forces, Bongas, Philippine Islands. (an unknown value.) Enlisted in the US Army on 2 April 1915 at Camp Stotsenburg, Phillipine Islands. He was a Sergeant on Jul 17, 1915. He served at Camp Stotsenburg to Jul 5, 1918 and then at Fort McKinley, Phillipine Islands and was Honorably discharged on June 11, 1919. (Army Serial Number 315217). He served in the US Army. He is shown on a transport (Sheridan)from the Philippines Oct 15 1920 to San Francisco as a Sergent in the
Quartermaster Corps.

(Armty Serial Number: 315217.) He died on 1 May 1932 at age 55.¹ He was buried at Angeles, Pampanga Province, Central Luzon, Philippines.¹

     Arneatta Franklin was born on 26 January 1931 in Humphreys County, Tennessee. As of after 1940,her married name was Bagwell. She married James Thomas Bagwell, son of Thurman Selmer Bagwell and Alpha Omega Burgess, after 1940. Arneatta Franklin died on 3 December 2020 in Dickson, Dickson County, Tennessee, at age 89. She was buried at Union Cemetery, Dickson, Dickson County, Tennessee.

     Bonnie Bagwell was born on 25 December 1955 in Detriot, Wayne County, Michigan.¹ She was the daughter of James Thomas Bagwell and Arneatta Franklin.¹ Bonnie Bagwell died on 23 April 2017 in Dickson, Dickson County, Tennessee, at age 61

Bonnie was born December 25, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. She had worked at France Power Solutions/SFEG in Fairview, TN for 35 years. She was a shipping manager. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Bagwell; her brother-in-law, Tim Mason.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle "Missy" Hughes and her late husband, Mark, of Dickson; her mother, Arneatta Peeler of Dickson; her 2 grandsons, Jeremy Hughes and Isaac Hughes; her 3 sisters, Delilah Alexander (Donnie) of Dickson, Tina Mason of White Bluff, Joy Knight (Dale) of Clarksville, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 5pm until 8pm. A funeral service is scheduled for 11am on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Franklin officiating. Place of rest will be in the Union Cemetery.

Jessica Annettia Bagwell, 52, of Salisbury, Maryland, was born at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware. She departed this life on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury.

Jessica attended Cape Elementary School in Millsboro, Delaware. She moved to Salisbury and attended East Salisbury Elementary School, Wicomico Middle School, and Wicomico Senior High School, from where she graduated.

In 1986, she became a city police officer and was an officer for a number of years. She also worked at the District Court. Her final job was at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, where she was a secretary and did payroll, before becoming ill.

Jessica was a member of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church where she served as a class leader and member of Feet to the Street, an outreach program. She had a passion for outreach.

She will be lovingly remembered by: her husband of 19 years, Brian E. Bagwell; two children, Dennis Roelke and Alisha (Bryan) Smart; her mother, Ellen Oney Thompson; two sisters, Carolyn Waller and Maxine Thompson; two brothers, Clifton and Dennis (Yolanda) Thompson; three grandchildren, Bryan “Nuk” Smart, Jr., Braylen “Bud” Smart, and Bri’Anna “Butterfly” Smart; several bonus siblings, godchildren, and god-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Saunders.

Mrs. Bagwell will lie in repose on Saturday, November 14, 2020, from 10 to 11 AM at St. James A.M.E. Zion Church, 521 Mack Avenue, Salisbury. The funeral service will begin at 11 AM.
