Sarah Roberts Bagwell, 72 of Fletcher went to be with the Lord and with her family on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at her home following a lengthy illness.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late Chauncey and Alexia Sands Roberts. She worked at Bagwell Lumber Company, which her husband owned, for over 20 years. She had been a member of Calvary Episcopal Church and later joined Fletcher First Baptist Church. She loved to be at her home surrounded by her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Sandra Kay Bagwell; a great-granddaughter Faith Hope Stepp; a sister Peggy Parcel; and brothers Doug Roberts and Don Roberts.

Surviving is her beloved husband Charles Bagwell; son Jeffrey Hugh Bagwell and wife Talitha of Greenville, SC; daughters Pat Bagwell Youngblood and husband Ronald of Fletcher and Carol Haskell Bagwell of Fletcher; grandchildren Jason Keith Bagwell and wife Kathleen, Amie Bagwell Fletcher and husband Dean, Jessica Ashley Bagwell Fisher, Austin Lee Johnson, Landon Donald Johnson, Rachel Nicole Haskell, and Joshua Charles Haskell; great-grandchildren Sarah Lauren Bagwell, Tristin Brooks Frazier, Alexia Kendra Stepp, Ashton David Fisher, and Jacey-Lynn Fisher.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday at Thos. Shepherd’s Church Street Chapel. Revs. Harold McKinnish and Todd Eaton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7:00pm until 8:30pm Saturday at Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors.

Amie Michelle Bagwell, 34, of Hendersonville, died Friday, October 1, 2010.

A native of Hendersonville, she was the daughter of the late Barbara Jane Fulle Hawkins.

Amie was an energetic, fun loving, and devoted mother, sister, and friend. Her ability to keep her family connected and free spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by two children; Tristin Frazier and Alexia Stepp both of the home; two brothers, Jason Bagwell of Davie, FL and Justin Hawkins of Green Acres, FL; a sister Ashley Bagwell of Hendersonville; and her father, Jeffrey Bagwell of Greenville, SC.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Thos. Shepherd’s Church Street Chapel.





FLAT ROCK -- A woman died Friday morning after the car she was driving struck a utility pole on U.S. 25, Greenville Highway in Flat Rock, according to a trooper with the N.C. Highway Patrol.

Amie Bagwell Barnes, 34, of Hendersonville, was driving a 1995 Corvette heading north on Greenville Highway, according to Trooper Jeff Bair.
The driver lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road to the right. The car struck a utility pole and caught on fire. The accident was reported at 1:36 a.m.
Bair added Barnes was driving 85 mph in a 35 mph zone.
Barnes died in the vehicle. A passenger, Jorge Lopez of Florida, escaped with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Bair.
“Alcohol is suspected,” to have contributed to the accident, Bair said. “The investigation is ongoing and pending an autopsy report.“
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Franklin Delano Bagwell Jr. married Judy (?) after 1975. Franklin Delano Bagwell Jr. died on 20 May 2021 in Lakeland Regional Health, Lakeland, Florida, at age 64


Franklin Delano Bagwell, Jr. passed away Thursday May 20th at Lakeland Regional Health in Lakeland. Frank was born on July 18, 1956 in Lake Wales, Florida. He fought a long tough battle but in the end his heart gave out and he went to be with the Lord. He loved his family and absolutely cherished his 4 grandchildren. He spent many years hunting and fishing but loved his work as well and could constantly be found working. He was owner of Bagwell Lumber Company in Frostproof where he worked his entire life starting in childhood. He was also owner of Livingston Groves and took much pride in producing quality citrus and maintaining beautiful groves. He had friends everywhere and loved all of them.

Frank is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy, his son, Franklin Delano Bagwell III, his daughter Laci Bagwell, and his grandchildren Easton, Marlee, Karsyn, and Ean. He is also survived by his mother, Peggy Bagwell of Frostproof.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Haypond Ranch, 800 Old Avon Park Road in Frostproof, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and share memories of Frankie and enjoy dinner in honor of a life well lived.
