NEAL MABREY HODGES Neal Tinsley Ma-brey, 71, of 4321 Main Street widower of Louise Bagwell Mabrey, died Sept 25, 1993 at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Jesse Wilson and Bertha Tinsley Mabrey. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School, Greenwood College of Commerce, and attended Lander College. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a self-employed accountant. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church, where he was a former director of the church choir and a former deacon, a member of Rudolph Price Sunday School Class, where he had formerly taught in the Sunday School Dept., and had formerly served as a deacon of the church. He was a member and Past Master of Bascomb Masonic Lodge. Surviving are two brothers, W. Dudley Mabrey of Hodges and Barney M. Mabrey of Greenwood; and a sister, Inez M. Holmes of Eustis, Fla. Services will be today at 4 p.m. at Blyth Funeral Home with the Rev. J.B. Redd and Rev. Bennie Ridlehoover officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial.

Martha Jane (Poyner) (Bagwell) Warren was born on April 13, 1855 in Kentucky, the daughter of James Poyner (1820–18800 and Jane (Warren) Poyner (1830–1885).

She was married on August 10, 1871 in Muhlenberg County to William Henry Bagwell (8 Mar 1852– ).

Living at 1719 Seifred Street in Nashville, Tennessee, Martha was 84 years old and a widow when she died at home of a cerebral hemorrhage on March 17, 1930. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.

Much of the above is from her Death Certificate, with Miss Ida Bagwell of 1719 Seifred Street as the informant.
