Vendell Eris Foster Bagwell, 71, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born July 4, 1943, in Newport News, VA, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Theo 'T.O.' Foster and Mary Marquette 'Maggie' Lowder Foster.

A graduate of Boiling Springs High School, she was retired from the Accounting Dept. at USC Upstate.

Surviving are her children, Lisa Mury and Lee Bagwell, both of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren, Breyer Bagwell and Maggie Bagwell; sister, Judy Pierson of Boiling Springs, SC; Ricky Foster of Greer, SC; and the father of her children, Harry L. Bagwell of Boiling Springs, SC.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Jeff Foster.

Visitation was 11:30 AM-12:45 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, with funeral services following at 1:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Michael Stepp.

     Ralph David Bagwell was born on 8 September 1924 in Carnesville, Georgia. He was the son of Daniel Lee Bagwell and Mattie Sue Childs. He enlisted in the US Army on 27 December 1944 served during World War II. He was discharged 27 December 1946. Ralph David Bagwell married Mary Anne Beggs before 1949. Ralph David Bagwell died on 11 June 1991 in Richmond County, Georgia, at age 66. He was buried at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, Columbia County, Georgia.

     Lee Carl Bagwell was also known as L. C. Bagwell. He was born on 23 June 1929 in Georgia.¹ He was the son of Daniel Lee Bagwell and Mattie Sue Childs. He was a SSGT US Army Air Corp (United States Air Force) during World War II and Korea.

He enlisted on 20 June 1947 and released on 1 June 1950. He re-enlisted 12 June 1950 and was released 14 September 1953.¹ Lee Carl Bagwell and Betty Sue (?) lived in 1951 in Montgomery, Montgomery County, Alabama. Lee Carl Bagwell married Betty Sue (?), daughter of Bessie Kallian, in March 1951 at Autauga County, Alabama. Lee Carl Bagwell and Betty Sue (?) lived in 1960 in Augusta, Georgia. Lee Carl Bagwell married Sandy S. (?) after 1961. Lee Carl Bagwell died on 19 October 1982 at age 53.¹ He was buried at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, Columbia County, Georgia.¹

     Paul Ebron Bagwell was born on 16 April 1934 in Carnesville, Georgia. He was the son of Daniel Lee Bagwell and Mattie Sue Childs. Paul Ebron Bagwell married Joyce Alice Irvin before 1956. Paul Ebron Bagwell married Joanne M. (?) before April 1960 at Dade County, Florida. Paul Ebron Bagwell and Joanne M. (?) were divorced in April 1960 at Dade County, Florida. Paul Ebron Bagwell married Patricia Moyers on 23 November 1960 at San Diego County, California. Paul Ebron Bagwell and Patricia Moyers were divorced on 24 April 1972 at Miami-Dade County, Florida. Paul Ebron Bagwell married Patricia Moyers on 5 December 1972 at Miami-Dade County, Florida. Paul Ebron Bagwell married Loretta Shafer on 9 August 1974 at Broward County, Florida. Paul Ebron Bagwell died on 15 September 1989 at age 55. He was buried at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, Columbia County, Georgia.

     Mary Russell Bagwell was born on 22 June 1937 in Georgia. She was the daughter of Daniel Lee Bagwell and Mattie Sue Childs. As of after 1950,her married name was Dills. Mary Russell Bagwell married John Floyd Dills Jr. after 1950. Mary Russell Bagwell and John Floyd Dills Jr. were divorced on 28 October 1958 at Buncombe County, North Carolina. Mary Russell Bagwell died on 16 March 2004 in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina, at age 66. She was buried at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Pisgah Forest, Transylvania County, North Carolina.

     John Floyd Dills Jr. was born on 1 July 1933. He married Mary Russell Bagwell, daughter of Daniel Lee Bagwell and Mattie Sue Childs, after 1950. John Floyd Dills Jr. and Mary Russell Bagwell were divorced on 28 October 1958 at Buncombe County, North Carolina. John Floyd Dills Jr. died on 4 October 2019 at age 86.

     Dwight David Bagwell Sr. was born on 24 January 1950. He was the son of Ralph David Bagwell and Mary Anne Beggs. Dwight David Bagwell Sr. married Charlene Houghton after 1970. Dwight David Bagwell Sr. died on 24 March 2015 in Augusta, Georgia, at age 65

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, March 24, 2015, Mr. Dwight D. Bagwell, Sr., 65, loving husband to Charlene Bagwell.

Mr. Bagwell was a native of Carnesville, GA but has lived in Augusta for the last 57 years. He was President of Bagwell Insurance Services.

A true southern gentleman, Dwight could most often be found spending time with his friends and family. Whether hosting casual gatherings at the lake, traveling on fishing trips with his best buddies, or cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, he was the happiest around those he loved. A dedicated husband and father to his family, and a loyal friend to many, he will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

Family members in addition to his wife include his sons: David Bagwell and wife Blair, Brad Bagwell and wife Elizabeth; daughter: Brittany Bagwell and special friend Damien Merk; mother: Anne Bagwell; and a host of other loving family members. He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph D. Bagwell.

Dwight was President of the student body at South Georgia College, a member of Augusta Richmond County Coliseum Authority from 1977-1986, Chairman of the Young Insurance Agents of Georgia from 1984-1985, Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors 1986-1990, Inaugural Leadership Class for Columbia County in 1987, Chairman of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce in 1989.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Warren Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Dillard and Rev. Sonny Jones officiating. Burial followed in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Mary Anne Beggs Bagwell, 89, loving wife of the late Ralph David Bagwell, entered into rest with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

She was born September 26, 1932, in Carnesville, GA to the late Rufus Fred and Wilna Beard Beggs. Mary Ann was a member of Pineview Baptist Church.

Mary Anne was a devoted wife and mother, and Grandmother. She deeply loved her family and friends. She always enjoyed serving them a home cooked meal. She worked part time in the family insurance business. She loved to spend her weekends with family and friends, traveling, or bargain shopping.

Mary Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Ralph; three brothers, Will Beggs, Bobby Beggs, and Johnnie Heywood Beggs; two sisters, Jeanette Hebbard and Rosena Garrison; and her beloved son, Dwight David Bagwell, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter in law, Charlene Bagwell; three grandchildren, Dwight David Bagwell Jr. (Blair) of Evans, Bradley Jackson Bagwell (Elizabeth) of Lincolnton, and Brittany Marie Bagwell of Martinez; and four great-grandchildren, Alexandria Ayers Bagwell, Mary Baker Bagwell, Annsleigh Abigail Bagwell, and Dwight David Bagwell III (Tripp).

Graveside services will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, GA 30813. The family will receive friends graveside one hour prior to service time.

     Bradley Jackson Bagwell is the son of Dwight David Bagwell Sr. and Charlene Houghton. Bradley Jackson Bagwell married Elizabeth Kay Aycock on 9 June 2013 at Augusta, Georgia.

     Brittany Bagwell is the daughter of Dwight David Bagwell Sr. and Charlene Houghton.

     Kimberly Blair Baker married Dwight David Bagwell Jr., son of Dwight David Bagwell Sr. and Charlene Houghton, on 24 June 2012 at Augusta, Georgia.

     Nancy Herrmann married Dale Bagwell, son of Morris Bagwell and Juanita Orene Pierce, on 17 October 1964 at Trinity Methodist Church, Madison, Nebraska.

     Vicki Bagwell is the daughter of Dale Bagwell and Nancy Herrmann. Vicki Bagwell married Mark Dehne after 1984.

     Mark Dehne married Vicki Bagwell, daughter of Dale Bagwell and Nancy Herrmann, after 1984.

     Douglas Bagwell is the son of Dale Bagwell and Nancy Herrmann. Douglas Bagwell married Janell (?) after 1984.

     Janell (?) married Douglas Bagwell, son of Dale Bagwell and Nancy Herrmann, after 1984.

     Edythe Belle Rawlings was born on 18 October 1898 in Marion County, Kentucky.¹ As of 15 July 1916,her married name was Dorsey. She married James Arthur Dorsey on 15 July 1916 at Clark County, Indiana. As of 8 November 1931,her married name was Bagwell. Edythe Belle Rawlings married John Hugh "John Boy" Bagwell, son of John J. Bagwell and Eva Alice Rollins, on 8 November 1931 at Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana. Edythe Belle Rawlings died on 14 September 1971 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, at age 72. She was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky.¹

     James Arthur Dorsey was born circa 1900 in Kentucky. He married Edythe Belle Rawlings on 15 July 1916 at Clark County, Indiana. James Arthur Dorsey died on 7 December 2005.

     Roy Ansel Bandy married Flossie Bagwell, daughter of John J. Bagwell and Eva Alice Rollins, before 1930.
