     Van Ira Elder was born on 9 December 1891. He married Nora May Bagwell, daughter of John William Bagwell and Louella Mary Watts, on 7 October 1912. Van Ira Elder died on 24 February 1945 at age 53. He was buried at Royal Centre Cemetery, Royal Center, Cass County, Indiana.

     Clarence J. Garver married Pauline Bagwell, daughter of John William Bagwell and Louella Mary Watts, on 20 February 1924 at Winamac, Pulaski County, Indiana.

Beretha Mae Slaten married Isaac Frank Bagwell, son of David Thompson (Thomps) Bagwell and Ada Tinsey Russell, on 18 September 1943 at De Queen, Sevier County, Arkansas. Beretha Mae Slaten died in 1977. She was buried at Horatio Cemetery, Horatio, Sevier County, Arkansas.

     Albert Lee Knox was born on 19 June 1904. He married Beretha Mae Slaten after 1922. Albert Lee Knox died on 31 January 1941 at age 36.

     Margaret Bullock was born in 1785 in South Carolina. As of 1806,her married name was Bagwell. She married Crawford Bagwell, son of Frederick Burk Bagwell and Mary Polly Hill, in 1806 at South Carolina. Margaret Bullock and Crawford Bagwell appeared on the 1850 United States Federal Census for Western Division, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, enumerated on 28 October 1850.¹ Margaret Bullock died in 1860 in Mississippi. She and Crawford Bagwell appeared on the 1860 United States Federal Census for Calhoun County, Mississippi, enumerated on 20 September 1860.²

     Mahala Haile Bagwell was born circa 1808. She was the daughter of Crawford Bagwell and Margaret Bullock. As of before 1860,her married name was Fish. Mahala Haile Bagwell married Christopher Fish before 1860. Mahala Haile Bagwell died before 1870.

     Charles Edward Bagwell was born on 14 July 1934 in Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Edward Earl Bagwell and Vera Marie Holliday.¹ Charles Edward Bagwell married Frances Marion Lark after 1952.¹ Charles Edward Bagwell died on 15 December 2020 in Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina, at age 86


Charles Edward Bagwell, 86, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Easley, SC, on July 14, 1934, son of the late Eddie Earl Bagwell and Vera Marie Holiday Bagwell; husband of Frances Marion Lark Bagwell.

A graduate of Easley High School; a United States Navy veteran having served in the Korean War; a retired employee with Ryder Truck; a member of Fairforest Baptist Church, where he was a member of the New Beginnings Sunday School Class and served for decades as a trustee and a deacon; was a lifelong supporter of high school sports, especially the Dorman Cavaliers and the Easley Green Wave.

Survived by daughters, Treasure Bagwell Snyder (Daniel), Melissa Bagwell Morris (Glenn); son, Dr. Charles F. Bagwell (Ellen); three granddaughters, Callie B. Owens (Chris), Whitney P. Guy (Jayson), Jenna M. Worley (Austin); two grandsons, Charlie F. Bagwell (Amy), Caleb A Morris; three great-granddaughters, Addie Phillips, Lee Bagwell, Ellie Owens; and three great-grandsons, Everett Owens, Charles Bagwell, James Worley; a sister, Tinker Bagwell Patterson (Charles); and a brother, Eugene Bagwell (Jo).

Also predeceased by two sisters, Evelina Bagwell Underwood and Oleda Bagwell Downing.

Memorial service held at a later date.

     Margo Oleda Bagwell was born on 5 April 1938.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Earl Bagwell and Vera Marie Holliday.¹ As of 7 April 1959,her married name was Downing. Margo Oleda Bagwell married Roger F. Downing on 7 April 1959 at Long Beach, New York. Margo Oleda Bagwell was buried at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Weswtbury, Nassau County, New York. She died on 15 September 1991 in Long Beach, Nassau County, New York, at age 53.

     Roger F. Downing married Margo Oleda Bagwell, daughter of Edward Earl Bagwell and Vera Marie Holliday, on 7 April 1959 at Long Beach, New York.

     Essie Christine Fowler was also known as Christine Fowler. She was born on 30 March 1909 in Liberty, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹ As of after 1945,her married name was Bagwell. She married Edward Earl Bagwell, son of George Oscar Bagwell and Artie Elizabeth Holder, after 1945. Essie Christine Fowler died on 16 October 1986 in Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 77.¹ She was buried at Pickens View Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Pickens, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹

     Linda Elaine "Tinker" Bagwell is the daughter of Edward Earl Bagwell and Essie Christine Fowler. Linda Elaine "Tinker" Bagwell married James Charles Patterson on 22 August 1971 at Arial, South Carolina.

     Lawrence Michael Bagwell is the son of Dale Michael Bagwell and Ruth Anne Leber.¹ Lawrence Michael Bagwell married Ashleigh Christine Higgins on 8 August 2003 at Virginia Beach, Virginia.

     Infant Daughter Bagwell died on 16 April 1921.¹ She was born on 16 April 1921.¹ She was the daughter of Ernest James Bagwell and Lillie Holden.¹ Infant Daughter Bagwell was buried at Ruhamah Baptist Church Cemetery, Liberty, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹
