     Juanita Jean Goff was born on 10 January 1930. She was the daughter of John Sanburn Goff and Ida Lenora Damron. As of circa 1946,her married name was Viers. Juanita Jean Goff married Troy Viers circa 1946. Juanita Jean Goff died on 17 December 2018 in Pikeville, Pike County, Kentucky, at age 88


Obituary for Juanita Jean Viers

JUANITA JEAN VIERS, 88 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY, following a brief illness. Born in Pikeville, KY, she was the daughter of the late John and Ida (Damron) Goff. She was a longtime resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Grundy Church of Christ. She was a long wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and worked at Cashway Market and Food City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Glen Ray Goff.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 72-years, Troy Viers, Grundy, VA; her daughter, Cheryl (Raymond) Anderson of Midland, VA; her granddaughter, Kimberly Dykes of Grundy, VA; her great-grandson, Colton Dykes of Belfast, VA; and her brother, Jack Goff of Pound, VA.

Funeral Services for JUANITA JEAN VIERS will be conducted Friday, December 21, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Church of Christ with Evgs. Dennis Wimmer and Brandon Bentley officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

     Troy Viers was born in 1927. He married Juanita Jean Goff, daughter of John Sanburn Goff and Ida Lenora Damron, circa 1946. Troy Viers died in 2021.

     Macie Carter was born on 18 April 1906. As of 1937,her married name was Goff. She married Roland T. Goff, son of John W. Goff and Martha Jane Ball, in 1937. Macie Carter died on 22 November 1973 in Raccoon, Pike County, Kentucky, at age 67. She was buried at Goff Family Cemetery, Pike County, Kentucky.

     Columbus Goff was born on 20 February 1888 in Raccoon, Pike County, Kentucky. He was the son of John W. Goff and Martha Jane Ball. Columbus Goff married Rachel Melvina Justice in 1915. Columbus Goff died on 6 October 1977 in Pike County, Kentucky, at age 89. He was buried at Goff Family Cemetery, Pike County, Kentucky.

     Rachel Melvina Justice was born on 2 April 1899. As of 1915,her married name was Goff. She married Columbus Goff, son of John W. Goff and Martha Jane Ball, in 1915. Rachel Melvina Justice died on 6 December 1943 at age 44. She was buried at Goff Family Cemetery, Pike County, Kentucky.
