Sharon Ann Feeney Henry Sharon Ann Henry passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 18, 1940. She was the 3rd of 6 children of Frances and Helen (Curran) Feeney. She attended St. Agnes High School, St. Vincent School of Nursing (1961), Marquette University (BS in Nursing, 1963) and Indiana University (Masters of Nursing Education, 1964). She spent many years practicing nursing in hospitals, teaching nursing on both the RN and LPN level and, ultimately, providing hospice care to those in need. Sharon and Jim met on a blind date set up by Jim's sister and Sharon's roommate while Sharon was attending St. Vincent School of Nursing. They dated from 1960 until Sharon's graduation from Indiana University in June, 1964. After their wedding in Indianapolis on June 6, 1964, they moved to Chicago and raised their children in the Chicago-land area including Villa Park, Lombard and Crystal Lake, IL, followed by Crown Point, IN. After they retired in 1996, Sharon and Jim moved to Carmel, IN. They then "re-retired" when they moved to Florida full-time in 2003. Sharon is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jim; their children Colleen (Salinas, CA), Lynn (Jerry) Wheeler (Pacific Palisades, CA), Jim (Mary) Henry (Stow, MA), Karen (Tim) Gallagher (Washington, D.C.) and Scott (Colleen) Henry (Concord, CA). She is survived by 8 grandchildren, JB, Will, Megan, Mike, Ben, Jimmy, Kevin and Cassidy. She is also survived by 5 brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. At Sharon's request, there will be no visitation. A Mass in celebration of Sharon's life will be held at San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port, FL on Wednesday, February 24th at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception at Heron Creek Country Club. Her ashes will be spread in the Memorial Garden on the grounds of San Pedro. In lieu of flowers, Sharon has requested that donations be made to the San Pedro Building Fund (please specify Building Fund) for the new family center. The building will serve as a multi-purpose family and teen center and, if necessary, a hurricane center for all those in need. Anna Louise Feeney was born on 12 June 1918 in 514(?) Riley Street, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.2 She was the daughter of Martin T. (Blackie) Feeney and Mary Ellen Kinney.1 On April 1935 her name was legally changed to Sister Loretta.1 Anna Louise became a nun in 8 September 1935 when she was 17 years old. Her mother house was Sisters of Saint Frances (Oldenburg, IN).2 Anna Louise was a teacher and admistrator of education for much of her career in Cincinnati, OH.2 Anna Louise had a triple-bypass and colon cancer.2 She died on 22 March 2010 in Sisters of St. Francis Convent, Oldenburg, Franklin County, Indiana, at age 91.1

Thomas Feeney was born in November 1846 in Ireland.1,2 He was the son of Martin Feeney and Mary Hughes. Thomas immigrated from Ireland to the United States in 1860.2,3,1 Thomas Feeney was naturalized as a United States citizen in 1872.3 He married Hannah 'Annie' Casserly, daughter of Timothy Casserly and Catherine Dugan, on 31 January 1874. Thomas Feeney married Margaret O'Dea Hughes on 21 November 1883 at Hendricks County, Indiana.4,1,3 He was a farmer in 1900 at Washington Township, Hendricks County, Indiana.1 Thomas Feeney lived in 1930 in Brownsburg, Hendricks County, Indiana. He died on 24 March 1933 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, at age 86. He was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.
