Dickie, on 24 September 1921 at Pauls Valley, Garvin County, Oklahoma.¹ Mable Marie King died on 21 September 1987 at age 87.¹ She was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Pauls Valley, Garvin County, Oklahoma.¹

     Evelyn Marie Bagwell was born on 25 October 1939 in Pauls Valley, Garvin County, Oklahoma.¹ He was the son of Arthur Hale Bagwell and Mable Marie King.¹ Evelyn Marie Bagwell died on 9 June 2011 in Pauls Valley, Garvin County, Oklahoma, at age 71 Evelyn “Marie” Bagwell, of Pauls Valley, was born October 25, 1939 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Arthur Hale and Mable Marie (King) Bagwell.

She passed away June 9, 2011 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years. Marie worked as a Cashier for many years until her retirement from the Humpty-Dumpty Grocery Store in Pauls Valley.      Billy Ladale Bagwell was born on 14 July 1933. He was the son of Arthur Hale Bagwell and Mable Marie King. Billy Ladale Bagwell married Shirley Ann Evans on 3 April 1953 at Ardmore, Oklahoma. Billy Ladale Bagwell died on 11 March 2015 at age 81


Billy Ladale Bagwell of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to Arthur Hale and Mable Marie (King) Bagwell July 14, 1933 and entered eternal life March 7, 2015. Bill spent his childhood days at the old Bagwell family place approximately 8 miles southwest of Pauls Valley. He attended school at Love School District until he was a freshman. It was at this point that he made the decision that working and buying a car took precedence over schooling. He began a 50 year love affair with car restoration.
Driving along the street one day he and a friend asked a couple of girls if they needed a ride. This decision ended in meeting the gal that was later to become his wife. Billy Bagwell and Shirley Ann Evans were married on April 3, 1953 in Ardmore, Oklahoma along with their friends who also were married that day, Gayle Himes and Doyle Bowles. Bill and Shirley raised their family near the place where Bill had grown up. He worked in the oilfield becoming a driller for many years with Shebester retiring in 1992. For over 50 years he restored old cars. Most folks in the area remember seeing the 1917 Model T flat bed truck and his favorite the 1931 Model A rumble seat coupe. He restored over 20 cars through the years.
Family was the best thing that happened in Bill’s life. The family gatherings at Christmas and Thanksgiving held a very special place in his heart. He loved to kid folks and if Bill Bagwell did not kid you, he did not like you.

Daughters: Lori Terry and husband Rick, Ann Jenine Jones, Dana Darlene Crum and husband Robert.

Also several great-grandchildren.


He was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Pauls Valley, Garvin County, Oklahoma.

     Francis Elizabeth Bagwell was born on 4 December 1927 in Garvin County, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Arthur Hale Bagwell and Mable Marie King. As of 28 May 1946,her married name was Hart. Francis Elizabeth Bagwell married Foy Hart on 28 May 1946 at Plainview, Texas. Francis Elizabeth Bagwell died on 23 August 2009 in Lindsay, Garvin County, Oklahoma, at age 81. She was buried at Green Hill Cemetery, McClain County, Oklahoma.

     Dr. Jerry Glyn Bagwell was born on 6 January 1930 in Graves County, Kentucky.¹ He was the son of Ralph Ewing Bagwell and Mary Cleo Thurmond.¹ He was a Commissioned and Warrant Officers of the United States Naval and Reserve in 1 July 1956. Dr. Jerry Glyn Bagwell married Betty June White in May 1961 at First Baptist Church of Bossier, Bossier, Louisiana. Dr. Jerry Glyn Bagwell lived in 2005 in Paris, Texas.¹ He died on 9 March 2014 in Kentucky at age 84.

     Mae Marilyn Bagwell is the daughter of Ralph Ewing Bagwell and Mary Cleo Thurmond.¹ Mae Marilyn Bagwell married Jimmie L. Brown in February 1956 at Broward County, Florida.

     Judith Bagwell was born on 28 August 1931 in Graves County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Ralph Ewing Bagwell and Mary Cleo Thurmond.¹ Judith Bagwell died on 4 February 2022 in Mayfield, Graves County, Kentucky, at age 90.² She was buried at Burnetts Chapel Cemetery, Graves County, Kentucky.²

     Pierce Hall Bagwell was born on 4 February 1946.¹ He was the son of Ralph Ewing Bagwell and Mary Cleo Thurmond.¹ Pierce Hall Bagwell died on 10 January 1949 in Mayfield, Kentucky, at age 2.¹ He was buried at Burnetts Chapel Cemetery, Graves County, Kentucky.¹

     Dewey Dwayne Bagwell was born on 1 January 1940 in Liberty, Liberty County, Texas.¹ He was the son of Dewey Delais Bagwell and Eura Lee Hickman. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp from 1958 until 1961 during the Vietnam Era, where he went on to receive the Good Conduct Medal and an Honorable Discharge.¹ Dewey Dwayne Bagwell married Phyllis Prescott before 1961. Dewey Dwayne Bagwell married Donna J circa 1973.¹ Dewey Dwayne Bagwell died on 3 June 2015 in Orange, Orange County, Texas, at age 75 Dewey Dwayne Bagwell, age 75 of Orange, Texas passed from this life on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at his residence.

Born on January 1, 1940 in Liberty, Texas to his parents, Dewey Deloise and Eura Lee (Hickman) Bagwell, he lived in the Orange area for the last 43 years.

Dewey worked for over 30 years as a Lab Technician at the Texaco Refinery in Port Arthur and he was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp from 1958 until 1961 during the Vietnam Era, where he went on to receive the Good Conduct Medal and an Honorable Discharge.

Dewey was a simple man who worked hard. He enjoyed building things by way of carpentry, such as bird houses and swing sets for his family. He also enjoyed working in his yard and listening to his daughter Victoria sing.

Dewey is preceded in death by his mother, his father and his son, Steven C. Bagwell.

Those who will most treasure his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Donna J. Bagwell of Orange, his daughter, Victoria Bagwell of Orange, his sons, Michael Earl Johnson of Scapposse, Oregon, Charles Bagwell of Portland, Oregon, David Dingler of Kelso, Washington and Michael Carter of Orange, Texas, his sister, Anita Jane Doucet of Hot Springs, Arkansas, his brother, Fred Allen Bagwell and wife, Kathy of San Marcos, Texas, twenty-three grandchildren including Ghonnathan Bagwell, currently enlisted in the United States Army, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Dewey is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A graveside committal service to honor Dewey’s life will be at 1pm Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Mary Williams Cemetery on Oilla Road in the Orangefield community.

Officiating will be Chaplain Robert Pitre with Compassion Hospice in Beaumont. Also present to Honor Dewey’s Military Service will be the Southeast Texas Veterans Service Group.

Arrangements for Cremation have been under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.¹ He was buried at Mary Williams Cemetery, Orangefield, Orange County, Texas.¹

     Donna J married Dewey Dwayne Bagwell, son of Dewey Delais Bagwell and Eura Lee Hickman, circa 1973.¹

     Steven C. Bagwell died in 1978 in Jefferson County, Texas, head injuries and internal bleeding as a result of a two-car headon collison.¹ He was born in 1961 in San Diego County, California.^1,2 He was the son of Dewey Dwayne Bagwell and Phyllis Prescott.¹ Steven C. Bagwell was buried on 21 August 1978 at Mary Williams Cemetery, Orangefield, Orange County, Texas.²
