After working in healthcare as a CNA and an LPN, Betty furthered her education at Itawamba Community College with an Associates Degree of Nursing. She worked for many years at North Mississippi Medical Center as a registered nurse in the NICU and treasured her time there for the rest of her life. After the untimely passing of her first husband, Betty met and married Joseph Bagwell, who helped her find happiness and companionship again. Betty loved nothing more than sitting on the porch and chatting with Joe over a hot cup of coffee while watching their three dogs play.
