Mary Opal Hardcastle age 91. Mary Opal Hardcastle (very loving and wonderful mother of eight children) was born in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma on June 20, 1923. Lived most of her life in Freer, Texas before moving to Three Rivers, Texas in 2007.

She has one surviving sister, Rosie Breiden in Katy, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Roy Hardcastle, her parents Mr. and Mrs. William Bagwell; brothers John Melvin and Amos Bagwell and two sisters; Virgie Bagwell and Wilma Atkison and one son-in-law William C, Mann.

She is survived by her eight children: Mrs. Georgia Mann of Realitos, Texas, Mrs. Joyce (Perry) Kerr of Three Rivers, Texas, Mrs. Carolyn (Richard) Brooks of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mr. Roy Lee (Loretta) Hardcastle of Hallettsville, Texas, Mrs. Mary (Cecil) Burnell of Hondo, Texas, Mrs. Dale (Tommy) Ferk of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mrs. Ann (Gene) Kilgore of Sandia, Texas and Mr. William (Rhonda) Hardcastle of Three Rivers, Texas. 25 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. and Mrs. Hardcastle were very well known ranchers in the Freer-Tilden area for over 65 years before being overtaken by bad health.

Burial is at the Hahl Cemetery, beside her husband of 72 plus years, Freer, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Michael Burnell, Scott Mann, Jon Brooks, Jay Kerr, Beau Hardcastle and Gary Hardcastle. Honorary pallbearer is Steven Burnell.

Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers, Texas.1

Rosie Pearl (Bagwell) Brieden was born on February 14, 1927 and went to her eternal home with the Lord Jesus on Sunday, March 19, 2023. She was 96 years old.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Bagwell; mother, Pearl Bagwell; husband, Elmer Julius Brieden; son, Arthur Gene Brieden; daughter, Connie Marie Ward and two grandsons. She is also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Rosie is survived by her son, Sammy Joe Brieden and his wife, Barbara; son, Elmer Julius Brieden, Jr. and his wife, Robbie; son, James Allen Brieden and wife, Nellie and son, Ronald Dean Brieden and wife, Sheila. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Rosie was born in Mesa, Arizona. She then moved to Lindsey, Oklahoma. Later her family moved to Freer, Texas. She married Elmer Brieden on October 14, 1942. They moved to Realitos, Texas in 1955 where they raised their 6 children. She attended the Bethany Baptist Church for 55 years. Rosie served as a Sunday School teacher and a VBS Director among many other church responsibilities.

Born August 29, 1925 in Warda, Texas, daughter of Carl August and Minnie Leona Charpentier Domaschk. She was a homemaker and attended the Grace Gospel Church.

She was united in marriage to Duain Bagwell February 7, 1946 who preceded her in death February 26, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Leon Domaschk and a great grandson, Trent Spencer.

Survivors include her sons, James Bagwell of Imboden and David Bagwell and Dennis Bagwell both of Pocahontas; three sisters, Sydele Schafer of Victoria, Texas, Ruth Carter and Linda Rutledge both of Georgia; three brothers, Leroy Domaschk of Alabama, Eugene Domaschk or Rock Port, Texas and Archie Domaschk of Corpus Christie, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Coleman Evans, Hunter Durham, Garrett Willbanks, Steven Bagwell, James D. Bagwell and Joey Bagwell. Honorary pallbearers will be, Travis Bagwell and Dustin Durham.1

Survivors include son, Brandon Hivley and wife Sherry of Thayer, Mo; sisters, Wanda Caron of Dozer, Alabama, Judy Merrell of Jonesboro, Tina Brunson and Jeanette Mans both of Powhatan; brothers, Wayne and Jay Bagwell both of Powhatan; Wes Bagwell of Beebe.

Harvie Jay Bagwell, 67 of Powhatan, died August 24, 2021, at his residence. Born September 13, 1953, in Jonesboro; son of the late, Harvie Jay Sr. and Lorine McQuay Bagwell.

He was a self-employed local land contour surveyor and an avid outdoorsman. Jay enjoyed having pets, being in the woods, and hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, Thomas and William Bagwell; and three sisters, Wanda Caron, Renea Mans and Joy Shanks; and his best dog, Bandit.

Survivors include his daughter, Priscilla (Michael) Cobble of Minturn; two sons, Casey Bagwell of Powhatan, and Nick (Chasity) Bagwell of Imboden; six grandchildren, Ethan Pickett, Remington and Jayde Cobble, Baylor, Owen and Avie Lee Bagwell; two brothers, Louie Wayne (Wilma) Bagwell of Powhatan and Wesley Bagwell of Mt. Home; two sisters, Judy Merrel and Tina Brunson both of Jonesboro; a nephew but like his brother, Garry Bagwell of Ash Flat; and his puppy, Rascal; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside service conducted Thursday, August 26, 2021; at 6:30 P.M. in the Powhatan Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Will Lynch, Richard Bowker, Michael Cobble and Chad Orrick.
