She also cared deeply about Vermont, her home since moving to Burlington in 1960. Frances ran the Youth Opportunity Center in Burlington, VT and was passionate about helping young people find meaning in work and in life. She continued this commitment through her work as Assistant Manager of Vermont Job Services, taking enormous satisfaction from matching the right person with the right employment opportunity. She leaves a brother James O. Bagwell and his wife of Longmeadow, MA; a niece of Belmont, MA and her children and grandchildren. She also leaves her beloved cousin of South Burlington. Fran also had a family of friends in Vermont who cherished her as she did them. Fran made friends wherever she went because of her ebullient spirit and huge heart. Many will always remember her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 10 at 9 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the two charities she chose: the Stern Center for Language and Learning, 135 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495 and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 20 Pine St, Burlington, VT 05401. She was buried at Resurrection Park Cemetery, South Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont.

Milton Bagwell Jr., 74, Shepherdsville, passed away at 10:25 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
He was a native of Marion County, born on Sept. 2, 1939 to Milton and Lorene Benedict Bagwell. He was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church, a 1957 graduate of Lebanon High School, and a retired employee of the CSX Railroad.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Milton Bagwell on Jan. 11, 2012.
On Sept. 3, 1960 he was united in marriage to Gail Greer whom he is survived by. Also surviving is a daughter, Jan Bagwell of Louisville; a son, Ed Bagwell (Sue) of Lanesville, Ind; a grandson, Ian Bagwell; his mother, Lorene Bagwell of Lebanon; a sister, Pat Mattingly (Bob) of Louisville; three brothers, Thomas W. Bagwell (Joyce), Donnie Bagwell (Connie) and Ronnie Bagwell (Glenna) all of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Carey & Son Funeral Home, Springfield, with Dr. David Whitlock, pastor of the Lebanon Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Ryder Cemetery in Lebanon.
Pallbearers were nephews, Jason Greer, Kevin Greer, Stephen Bagwell, Donnie Bagwell Jr., Bobby Mattingly, and Todd Sawyer.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

WILLIAM DAVIS BAGWELL of Orlando, FL - he was the son of William R and Evie Bagwell (family of Evelyn, Grace, Meriam, Barbara and Bill grew up in Sacramento, CA). Bill entered the National Guard as an Aviation Cadet and transitioned into the U.S. Army Air Corps as a 2nd Lieutenant. Bill met Marjorie Ann Shepherd while in LA and they married December 14, 1943. During his military career, Bill was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for "heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in an aerial flight". He retired December 31, 1963 with the rank of Major at McCoy Air Force Base - Strategic Air Command H.Q. in Orlando, FL and started a new career as a manager at ABC Liquors. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie who died in March 2006 of cancer. Surviving are children, William "Billy", Larry and Susie; grandchildren, Katie Koskoff, Ken Bagwell, Kelley Bagwell and Brandon Fette and great-grandchildren, Rowan and Leon Koskoff. A reception in his honor will be held August 16, 2011 at the Baldwin Fairchild East Altamonte Chapel in Altamonte Springs, FL. Funeral Services with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery. Published in the Orlando Sentinel on August 12, 2011.2
