Richard “Rick” Bagwell, a loving and caring man known for his outgoing personality, passed away on June 19th, 2023, at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on August 21st, 1957, in Easley, SC to Walter and Connie Bagwell.

In life, Richard worked as both a carpenter and supervisor. He took great pride in his work and inspired those around him with his strong work ethic. Outside of work, Richard enjoyed spending his free time fishing, playing pool, working on motorcycles, and playing/watching sports.

However, Richard's greatest accomplishment in life was undoubtedly his family. He cherished every moment spent with them and was immensely proud of each one of them. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Bagwell; sons, David Bagwell (Kelsey) and Shane Bagwell; daughter, Kelsey Bagwell (Ronell); sisters, Kathy Jett (Phillip) and Christy Woodring (Danny); grandchildren, Levi Bagwell, Christian Bagwell, Hunter Bagwell, and Treyvion Holloway.

Richard will always be remembered for the love he shared with all those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.

Visitation will be at 12 PM to 2 PM Saturday June 24, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church, 814 Norris Hwy, Central, SC 29630.

     Christi L. Bagwell is the daughter of Walker Perry Bagwell and Connie S. Abercrombie. Christi L. Bagwell married Danny Woodring after 1988.

     Jessica Renee Bagwell is the daughter of John Marcus Bagwell and Doris Marie Harris. Jessica Renee Bagwell married Benjamin Blake Walker on 6 June 2009 at Clinton, Mississippi.

     Benjamin Blake Walker married Jessica Renee Bagwell, daughter of John Marcus Bagwell and Doris Marie Harris, on 6 June 2009 at Clinton, Mississippi.

     William Charles Cooper married Susan Bagwell Bagwell, daughter of James Marcus Bagwell and Evelyn Jean Irving, in September 1974.

     Anthony S. Bagwell Sr. is the son of Linwood Lewis Bagwell and Lillie Mae Rue. Anthony S. Bagwell Sr. married Sylvia Collic before 1984.

     Linwood Lewis Bagwell was born on 15 December 1913 in Accomack County, Virginia.^1,2 He was the son of Daniel W. Bagwell and Sara Ann Parker.¹ Linwood Lewis Bagwell lived on 28 January 1920 in Lee, Accomack County, Virginia.¹ He married Emma Kate Boggs after 1931. Linwood Lewis Bagwell married Lillie Mae Rue before 1959. Linwood Lewis Bagwell died on 6 May 1976 in Beebe Hospital, Lewes, Delaware, at age 62.² He was buried on 15 May 1976 at Saint John 2nd Baptist Church Cemetery, Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware.²

     Lillie Mae Rue was born in 1918.¹ As of after 1937,her married name was Hickman. She married (?) Hickman after 1937. As of before 1959,her married name was Bagwell. Lillie Mae Rue married Linwood Lewis Bagwell, son of Daniel W. Bagwell and Sara Ann Parker, before 1959. Lillie Mae Rue died on 28 December 1975 in Millville, Sussex County, Delaware.¹ She was buried on 3 January 1976 at St. John's Cemetery, Mount Joy, Delaware.¹

     Essie Marie Bagwell is the daughter of Linwood Lewis Bagwell and Lillie Mae Rue.

     Nathaniel Bagwell is the son of Linwood Lewis Bagwell and Lillie Mae Rue.

     Linwood Lewis Bagwell Jr. was born on 25 November 1938. He was the son of Linwood Lewis Bagwell and Emma Kate Boggs. He served in the US Army from from 4 December 1961 to 1 February 1962. Linwood Lewis Bagwell Jr. lived in 1976 in New Jersey. He died on 20 June 1983 at age 44.

     Charles T. Bagwell is the son of Linwood Lewis Bagwell and Emma Kate Boggs.

     Mary Ellen Bagwell is the daughter of Linwood Lewis Bagwell and Emma Kate Boggs. Mary Ellen Bagwell married (?) Norris after 1954.

     Sara Ann Parker was also known as Annie Parker.¹ She was born circa 1884 in Accomack County, Virginia.² As of 7 December 1902,her married name was Bagwell. She married Daniel W. Bagwell, son of Daniel Bagwell and Rosa Conquest, on 7 December 1902 at Accomack County, Virginia. Sara Ann Parker lived on 28 January 1920 in Lee, Accomack County, Virginia.²

     Daniel W. Bagwell was born on 25 May 1880 in Savageville, Accomack County, Virginia, The 1900 US Census lists his date of birth as May 1879.^1,2 He was the son of Daniel Bagwell and Rosa Conquest.^1,2 Daniel W. Bagwell married Sara Ann Parker on 7 December 1902 at Accomack County, Virginia. Daniel W. Bagwell died on 3 February 1935 in Savageville, Accomack County, Virginia, at age 54.² He was buried on 5 February 1935 at Kilmontown Cemetery, Accomack County, Virginia.²
