     Eugene Edward Bagwell III was born on 3 November 1946 in Downey Hospital, Gainesville, Georgia. He was the son of Master Sergeant Eugene Edward Bagwell Jr. and Lucille Conner. Eugene Edward Bagwell III married Sonja Louise Black circa 1975. Eugene Edward Bagwell III died on 5 October 2018 at age 71

Eugene “Eddie” Bagwell III, 71, of Oakwood, passed away Friday October 5, 2018. Eddie was born on November 3, 1946 at Downey Hospital in Gainesville, to the late Eugene E. and Lucille Connor Bagwell Jr.

He was a graduate of Gainesville High School and received his Associates Degree from Truitt McConnell University.

Mr. Bagwell worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation as a Lab Supervisor before retiring.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Bratten and grandson, Clayton Brown.

He is survived by is his wife of 43 years, Sonja Black Bagwell; son, Warren Bratten and Eugene “Gene” Bagwell IV; grandchildren, Cody (Leah) Bratten, Courtney (Brandon) Brown; Great-grandchildren, Zoe Brown, Zac Brown, Jaxson Brown, Kimber Bratten and Bonnie Bratten. Sister; Diane Warren and nephew, William Warren.

Graveside Services for Mr. Bagwell will be held Monday October 8, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3664 Lebanon Church Rd., Gainesville. Rev. Marshall Dale officiating

The family will receive friends Sunday October 7, from 6-8 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home.

     Eugene Edward Bagwell IV is the son of Eugene Edward Bagwell III and Sonja Louise Black.

     Bruce Bryant Bagwell was born on 9 February 1934 in District of Columbia. He was the son of Butrow Bryant Bagwell and Mary Lee Critcher. He served as a US Marine from from 2 July 1953 to 1 July 1957. Bruce Bryant Bagwell died on 13 August 1982 at age 48. He was buried at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Prince George's County, Maryland.

     Rosemary Bagwell is the daughter of Butrow Bryant Bagwell and Mary Lee Critcher.

     Lila Capitola Bagwell was also known as Capitola Bagwell. She was born on 21 January 1929 in South Carolina. She was the daughter of Horace Eugene Bagwell and Gurtha Louise Chasteen. As of after 1950,her married name was Porter. Lila Capitola Bagwell married Henry Elbert Porter after 1950. Lila Capitola Bagwell died on 7 May 2016 at age 87


Lila Capitola Porter, 87, of Simpsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 7, 2016.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Henry E. Porter, as well as brothers; Ray, Tommy and Wayne Bagwell.

She is survived by two sons; Keith (Kristen) Porter and Steve (Kathy) Porter.

Capitola graduated from SC Baptist Hospital College for Nurses in 1950 and practiced as a registered nurse for fifty years. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, as well as East Georgia Road Baptist Church.

A private family burial will take place at Graceland East Memorial Park.

     Henry Elbert Porter was born on 9 June 1920 in Pickens County, South Carolina. He was a Staff SGT in the US Army during World War II. He married Lila Capitola Bagwell, daughter of Horace Eugene Bagwell and Gurtha Louise Chasteen, after 1950. Henry Elbert Porter died on 23 April 2009 in Simpsonville, Greenville County, South Carolina, at age 88. He was buried at Graceland East Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Simpsonville, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     Dana Beth Bagwell is the daughter of Gary Dan "Danny" Bagwell and Bessie Lee Turner. Dana Beth Bagwell married Randolph Kermit Cooper on 13 August 1983 at Greenville, South Carolina. Dana Beth Bagwell married Christopher Beckman Burnette on 11 August 1990 at Columbia, South Carolina.

     Randolph Kermit Cooper married Dana Beth Bagwell, daughter of Gary Dan "Danny" Bagwell and Bessie Lee Turner, on 13 August 1983 at Greenville, South Carolina.

     Christopher Beckman Burnette married Dana Beth Bagwell, daughter of Gary Dan "Danny" Bagwell and Bessie Lee Turner, on 11 August 1990 at Columbia, South Carolina.

     Kymberly Ann Bagwell is the daughter of Gary Dean Bagwell and Deonna Donnell Goodrum.

     William Edward Brownlee was born in 1887. He married Endella "Della" Bagwell, daughter of James Coleman Bagwell and Henrietta Mae Jones, after 1920. William Edward Brownlee died in 1953 in Louisiana.

     Perry Ballard married Angelin Nancy Bagwell, daughter of Thomas Drury Bagwell and Nancy Hyder, after 1850.
