     Jesse Ray Bagwell was born on 15 March 1867 in Dallas, Texas.1 He was the son of George LaFayette Bagwell and Mary Bethaney Laster. Jesse Ray Bagwell married Henrietta Eliza Johnson on 19 August 1892 at Thackerville, Indian Territory (Oklahoma).2 Jesse Ray Bagwell died in 1947 in Norman, Oklahoma, On August 19, 1892, a Double Wedding, Jesse Ray Bagwell married Etta Johnson, and Jesse's sister, Georgie Ann (Anna Georgie) married Matthew George Moutray. Moutray and Etta Johnson were cousins.

Jesse along with his father owned a store in Thackerville, Indian Territory around 1892, from a stationary I found in the Texas State Archives, stating the name was, Bagwell & Son, Thackerville, I.T. that Jesse used.1 He was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma.1
