He was survived by his parents, Martha and Govan Bagwell; sister and brother-in-law, Deliah and Rex Gravitt; special friend, Vickie Samples; and an extended family of relatives. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. His funeral was held October 19, 2006, with The Rev. Dennis Bottoms and The Rev.      Russell W. Duff was born in 1885. He married Lema W. Bagwell, daughter of John L. Bagwell and Uphrasha Samantha Bozeman, after 1915. Russell W. Duff died in 1973. He was buried at Cherokee Memorial Park, Canton, Cherokee County, Georgia.

     William Eli Richards was born on 9 November 1894. He married Lula Arizona Bagwell, daughter of John L. Bagwell and Uphrasha Samantha Bozeman, after 1910. He was a Private in the US Army during World War I. William Eli Richards died on 7 October 1967 at age 72. He was buried at New Harmony Baptist Cemetery, Cumming, Forsyth County, Georgia.

     Lindell Bagwell is the daughter of George William Bagwell and Effie A Waldrip.

     Katherine Cotter was also known as Catherine Alice Cotter. She was born on 11 March 1868 in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Peter Cotter and Mary Cunningham. As of before 1907,her married name was Bagwell. Katherine Cotter married John Edward Bagwell, son of John Bagwell and Joanna Sullivan, before 1907 at Cambridge, Massachusetts. Massachuetts Marriage Records shows Feb 20, 1913 in Cambridge, MA. It was listed as the first marriage for Catherine and second-widowed for John Edward Bagwell. Katherine Cotter died on 18 August 1946 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at age 78. She was buried on 19 August 1946 at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Roslindale, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.

     Peter Cotter was born circa 1840 in Ireland. He married Mary Cunningham before 1865.

Jerrell Everett Bagwell and Delores D Holland were divorced in February 1975 at Yolo County, California. Jerrell Everett Bagwell married Jan Ivey before 2009.

     Karen Sue Bagwell is the daughter of Buron Everett Bagwell and Jo Ann Keeling. Karen Sue Bagwell married Gary L Spencer on 31 May 1975 at Placer County, California. Karen Sue Bagwell married Montie Eger after 1977.

     Cheryl Diane Bagwell is the daughter of Buron Everett Bagwell and Jo Ann Keeling. Cheryl Diane Bagwell married Michael D Duay on 11 March 1977.

     Patsy Gale Bagwell was born on 1 June 1962 in Woodland, Yolo County, California. She was the daughter of Buron Everett Bagwell and Jo Ann Keeling. As of after 1980,her married name was McCaskey. Patsy Gale Bagwell married (?) McCaskey after 1980. Patsy Gale Bagwell died on 1 February 2020 in Woodward, Woodward County, Oklahoma, at age 57.

     Betty Jo Shook was born on 29 December 1930 in Hiawassee, Towns County, Georgia.¹ As of before 1953,her married name was Bagwell.¹ She married Reverend Robert Henry "Bob" Bagwell, son of Homer Lester Bagwell Sr. and Mentora May Worley, before 1953.¹ Betty Jo Shook died on 2 May 2017 in Simpsonville, Greenville County, South Carolina, at age 86
Betty Jo Shook Bagwell Wynn, 86, of Simpsonville, SC, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the HospiceCare of the Piedmont in Greenwood, SC.

The loving wife of Rev. Bobby Wynn, Betty Jo was a native of Hiawassee, GA and the daughter of the late Nola (Crump) and Will Shook; also the widow of the late Rev. Robert Henry Bagwell, Sr.

A Church of God pastor's wife for more than 50 years, she was a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina Upstate and a former employee of the Inman Times and Belk, Inc.

Survived by daughter, Joette Carroll (Ronnie) of Greenwood; son, Stephen Bagwell (Shirley) of Inman; step daughter, Barbara Wooten (Gene) of Joanna, stepson Ronnie Wynn (Cheryl) of Conway; sister, Gaynelle McCloud of Travelers Rest; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition, she had the joy of brother and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her son, Robert Henry Bagwell, Jr. and sister, Dean Shook.

The funeral was held Friday, May 5, 2017 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC at 4:00 PM.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Survivors include his stepfather, Rev. Robert Wynn; a daughter, Jennifer Cupples of Keller, TX; a son, Jamie Bagwell of Inman; a brother, Stephen Bagwell; sister, Joette Carroll of Greenwood, SC; two grandchildren, Joseph Cupples and Annelyse Bagwell; and a loving friend, Shirley Welch.

Funeral services were held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 16, 2011, with Rev. Terry Sherfield officiating.

The family received friends one hour before the services at the funeral home. Interment was private.

Stephen William Bagwell, 60, of 202 Little Mountain Drive in Inman, passed away Saturday, December 25th, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Stephen was born in Newberry, S.C. on December 11, 1961; a son of the late Betty Jo Shook Bagwell Wynn and Rev. Robert Henry Bagwell.

He was a member of Fairforest Church of God. He is survived by a sister; Joette Carroll of Greenwood, SC, a niece; Jennifer Bagwell Smith of Texas, and a nephew; Jamie Bagwell of Texas.

A memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, January 14th at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman with Rev. Louie Murray and Mr. Richard Arthur officiating.

Louise Lewis Bagwell, 97, of Inman, SC passed away peacefully Thursday, September 12, 2013 at her home.

Everyone affectionately knew her as "Miama".

She was born in Spartanburg, SC to the late Reuben and Pauline Smith Lewis.

She graduated from Inman High School in 1935 where she enjoyed playing basketball & tennis.

She worked many years in the office of the family business.

She was the oldest member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church and served with the UMW ladies. She enjoyed painting china and making Christmas ornaments that she graciously gave away.

Louise is survived by two sons, Larry Bagwell (Marian) of Inman, SC and Tim Bagwell (Chris) of Managua, Nicaragua, two sisters, Jenny Maxwell of Inman, SC and Juanita Cromer of California. She was blessed with ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and her precious companion dog "Pepper".

In addition to her husband, Homer of 47 years she was predeceased by one brother, Reuben P Lewis, and two sisters, Jewel Callia and Lake Canning.

The family is at the home of her son, Larry at 104 Beechwood Drive, Inman and will receive friends, Sunday,September 15, 2013 at Seawright Funeral Home from 3:00 – 4:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev Gary Byrd. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

     Mayme Laura Blount was born on 3 December 1908 in Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia.¹ As of 2 September 1933,her married name was Bagwell. She married Reverend Walter Smith Bagwell, son of John Mansell Bagwell and Sarah Edna Moore, on 2 September 1933 at Danville, Virginia. Mayme Laura Blount died on 29 February 1992 in Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, at age 83.¹ She was buried at Cool Springs Cemetery, Faceville, Decatur County, Georgia.¹

     Edna Earl Foster was born on 12 May 1915.¹ As of after 1930,her married name was Bagwell.¹ She married John Quincy Bagwell, son of Robert Fulton Bagwell and Wardie Jane Robertson, after 1930.¹ Edna Earl Foster died on 16 October 1999 at age 84.¹ She was buried at Glenfield Memorial Park, New Albany, Union County, Mississippi.¹

     Carlton Lee Bagwell was born on 23 July 1935.¹ He was the son of John Quincy Bagwell and Edna Earl Foster.¹ Carlton Lee Bagwell married Janice Mae Polk before 1961.² Carlton Lee Bagwell died on 7 May 2017 at age 81 [:CR:]Carlton Lee Bagwell, 81, died Sunday, May 07, 2017 at New Albany Health and Rehab Center after an extended illness. Carlton was born July 23, 1935 to the late John Quincy Bagwell and Edna Earl Foster. He was a truck driver for Olympic Products for many years. Carlton loved watching old westerns and was an avid fan of John Wayne and Jessie James. He enjoyed talking about the Civil War, enjoyed yard work, tool crafting, spending time with his family, was a great jokester, and a flirt.

Graveside service will be held 4 P.M. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Glenfield Memorial Park in New Albany with Billy Hutcheson officiating. Visitation will be at Holland Funeral Directors Tupelo from Noon till 3:00 P.M. on Thursday.

Carlton is survived by his children; Janet Lee Knotts (Michael) of Decatur, AL, John Wayne Bagwell of Ashland, MS, Ronald Dean Bagwell of Oxford, Becky Aliene Fredrick of Winston-Salem, NC, Marlon Ashley Fredrick (Leslie) of Villa Rica, GA, Petunia Lee Ward (Tony) of Tupelo, Penny Garcia (Johnny) of Tupelo, two brothers; Jimmy Bagwell of Union County and Luther Bagwell (Rachel) of Pontotoc, one sister; Janie Wilder of New Albany, seven grandchildren; Paul Drake, Matthew Drake, James Drake, Phillip Ramsey, Lance Ward, Juan Garcia and Diego Garcia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons; Carl Patrick Bagwell and Donald Gene Bagwell, one daughter; Tabitha Gay Bagwell, one brother; Arnold Bagwell and a granddaughter; Raven Fredrick.

RULEVILLE - Janice Polk Bagwell, 70, Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital. She was formerly from Tupelo but was a current resident of Ruleville, Miss. She was born in Sommerville, Tenn. on Aug. 31, 1941 to Earnest Polk Sr. and Pauline Mooneyham Polk. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She enjoyed her garden and loved to attend her church and sing gospel songs.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the United Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Bobby Casteel officiating, burial will be in the old Glenfield cemetery. United Funeral Service is in Charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet Knotts (Michael) of Decatur, Ala; two sons, John Bagwell of Ashland, and Ronald Bagwell of Oxford; one sister, Joyce Holland of Byhalia; two brothers, Earnest Polk Jr. (Cleo) of Moscow, Tenn. and Charles Polk(Willene) of Byhalia; three grandchildren, Paul Drake of Birmingham, Matthew Drake and James Drake both of Decatur, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Donald Bagwell, one daughter, Tabitha Bagwell and one sister, Lois Blalock.
