     T. S. Bagwell was also known as Simpson M. Bagwell.1 He was born on 25 June 1870 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.1 He married Polly Allen (?) in 1893. He worked as a master mechanic at a cotton mil for 44 years until May 1939.2 T. S. Bagwell lived in 1941 in Clayton, South Carolina.2 He died on 16 May 1941 in Glendale, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, at age 70 Obituary:

Funeral services for T. S. Bagwell, 70, retired master mechanic of the Clifton mills and a life-long resident of Clifton who died at his home Friday night following an illness of one week, will be conducted this afternoon at 4 o’clock at the residence by Dr. W. L.
Mullikin, the Rev. J. P. Byers, and the Rev. J. F. Ford. Burial will be in the Glendale cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be: Paul Groce, Chalmer Wooten, Dupre Vaughn, Earl Barber, Theodore Wilson and Sam Gilmore.
Mr. Bagwell had made his home at Clifton for the past 35 years, and was an active member of the St. Andrews Methodist church of that community.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Polly Allen Bagwell of Clifton: three daughters, Mrs. Henry P. Cannon of Rockingham, N. C., Mrs. Archie Gabriel of Mooresville, N. C., and Miss Naomi Bagwell of Clifton: and one granddaughter, Miss Mary Frances Cannon of Winthrop college, Rock Hill.

He was buried on 18 May 1941 at Glendale, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

Funeral services for J.J. BAGWELL, 65, night watchman at the Spartan mills who died at his home on Manning street Friday night after a long illness, will conducted from the Oak Grove Baptist church this afternoon. Burial will be in the churchyard.
He is survived by his widow, MRS. MITTLE BAGWELL, and by the following children of a previous marriage; MRS. CORA DANIEL, Charlotte, MRS. MYRTLE STEADING and MRS. LIZZIE MORRELL of Spartanburg and FLETCHER BAGWELL of Whitney mills.1 He was buried at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.1
