     Sue Carolyn Bagwell was born on 24 December 1934 in Diehlstadt, Scott County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Terry Loomis Bagwell and Lila Richards Norman. As of 5 October 1963,her married name was Miller. Sue Carolyn Bagwell married Dr. Earl William Miller on 5 October 1963 at Niedringhaus United Methodist Church, Granite City, Missouri. Sue Carolyn Bagwell died on 28 September 2021 at age 86


Sue Carolyn Miller, 86, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

She was born December 24, 1934 in Diehlstadt, Missouri, a daughter of the late Terry L. and Lyla (Norman) Bagwell.

She married Dr. Earl William Miller on October 5, 1963 at Niedringhaus United Methodist Church in Granite City and he survives.

Sue was a loving and faithful homemaker and was a longtime member of Niedringhaus United Methodist Church. She was very artistic and talents, enjoyed her days of gardening and cooking and was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Sue cherished her family and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.

In addition to her beloved husband of nearly 58 years, she is survived by four children, Jenni Neumann of Glendale, Missouri, Kimberly Renee (Les) Lindauer of Pine, Colorado, Timothy Earl (Tammy) Miller of Granite City and Mark (Kendra) Miller of Webster Groves, Missouri; six grandchildren, Taylor (Mahmoud) Alshannaq, Paige (Spencer) Seggebruch, Katelyn (Timothy) Krekeler, Kyle Kenner, Grace Miller and Mackenzie Miller; two great granddaughters, Ava Krekeler and Ella Krekeler and Baby Seggebruch on the way; several nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Reid.

In celebration of her life, a private family service will be held at Irwin Chapel in Granite City on Monday, October 4, 2021 with Reverend Sharon Autenrieth officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.

George Lee Reid Jr. 88, of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Mr. Reid was born on February 12, 1923 in New Port, Arkansas a son of the late George Lee & Gladys Edna (Montgomery) Reid Sr. Mr. Reid proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. He went on to earn his bachelors degree from South East Missouri State where he was a track star. Mr. Reid received his master's degree from the University of Illinois. He was an educator in the Granite City School system for over thirty years and was the principle of Frohardt School when he retired in 1979. Lee was an Instructor for the Illinois Firearms Safety Course and a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge 877, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters Sally Reid, Jackie Geserick. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Ann (Bagwell) Reid; daughters Terry & Ron Grant of Decatur, IL, Deborah & Mark Karr of Crestwood, MO; son David Reid of Troy, IL; brother Charles "Buddy" Reid of Dallas, TX; sister Patricia & Floyd Ray of Conway, AR; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sue & Earl Miller of Charleston, MO; grandchildren Ty Douglass, Ryan Reid, Matt Mansfield, Tony Douglass, Patrick Reid, Chris Douglass, Tyler Reid, Jivan Harbian; great grandchildren Logan Reid, Aly Douglass, Emma Douglass, Austin Harbian, Reid Douglas, James Douglas, Lola Douglass; extended family and friends.

     Bobby Ray Bagwell Sr. was born on 25 August 1933 in Laurens County, South Carolina. He was the son of Benjamin Perry Bagwell and Minnie Anderson. Bobby Ray Bagwell Sr. married Carol Freeman before 1965. Bobby Ray Bagwell Sr. died on 14 November 1990 in Chester County Hospital, Chester County, South Carolina, at age 57. He was buried at Chester Memorial Gardens, Chester, Chester County, South Carolina.

     Margie Lee Bagwell was born on 13 March 1924. She was the daughter of Benjamin Perry Bagwell and Minnie Anderson. As of after 1945,her married name was Hamacher. Margie Lee Bagwell married Albert L. Hamacher after 1945. Margie Lee Bagwell died on 10 April 2008 at age 84. She was buried at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina.

     Albert L. Hamacher was born in 1920. He married Margie Lee Bagwell, daughter of Benjamin Perry Bagwell and Minnie Anderson, after 1945. Albert L. Hamacher died in 1984. He was buried at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina.

     John Johnson married Kim Bagwell, daughter of Buford Dain Bagwell and Bonnie Jean Olson, on 2 September 1978.

     Thomas James Harvey married Jennifer A. Bagwell, daughter of Charles Malcolm Bagwell and Susan Grovia Brender, after 1982.

     Clyde Blue Bagwell was also known as C. Blue Bagwell. He was born on 13 August 1940 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He was the son of John Daniel Bagwell Jr. and Julia Ellen Morecock. Clyde Blue Bagwell married Paula Cannon in 1964. Clyde Blue Bagwell died on 19 March 2026 in Georgia at age 85


Mr. C. Blue Bagwell, age 85, passed away on March 19, 2026. Born August 13, 1940 in Lawrenceville, Georgia, he was the son of John Daniel Bagwell and Julia Morcock Bagwell. He was a sixth generation Gwinnettian, was in the first graduating class of Central Gwinnett High School, and a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology. He married Paula Cannon, of Snellville, in 1964 and they had three children: Jeff, John, and Julie.

As a teenager, Blue worked at Monfort Drug Company, Inc. on the courthouse square in Lawrenceville, and after college, he worked for Lockheed in Marietta, GA. He later joined, as a partner, at Hannon, Meeks, & Bagwell, Surveyors & Engineers, Inc. in Lawrenceville.

In addition to his parents, Blue was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Paula; brothers, Dan, and Charles Bagwell. He is survived by his sister, Mary Ballard (Lawrenceville, GA); children, Jeffrey Blue Bagwell (Charleston, SC), John Daniel Bagwell III (Smyrna, GA), and Julie Bagwell/Russ Hancock (Dawsonville, GA); 5 grandchildren, Zachary Blue Bagwell and wife Kayleigh (Dublin, OH), Creedence Bagwell Rossi and husband Matt (Atlanta, GA), Leon Miles Bagwell (Atlanta, GA), Floyd Forrest Bagwell (Charleston, SC), and Francis Cullen Bagwell (Charleston, SC); 4 great grandchildren, Bennett Blue Bagwell, Briggs Blue Bagwell, Sloane Winter Rossi, and Leon Albert Rossi; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The Service to Honor and Remember the Life of Blue Bagwell will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 11:30 A.M. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Rev. Dr. Adam Hilderbrandt officiating. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 23rd from 6pm to 8pm, Tuesday, March 24th from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

     Paula Cannon was born on 17 July 1943. As of 1964,her married name was Bagwell. She married Clyde Blue Bagwell, son of John Daniel Bagwell Jr. and Julia Ellen Morecock, in 1964. Paula Cannon died on 8 July 2004 in Lawrenceville, Georgia, at age 60


Paula Cannon Bagwell, age 60, of Lawrenceville, GA, died July 8, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Jewell Gilleland Cannon of Snellville, GA. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Blue Bagwell. Other survivors include sons, Jeffrey Bagwell, Charleston, SC; John Bagwell, Lawrenceville; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Russell Hancock, Suwanee; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Wiley Puckett, Loganville; Violette Burrell, Lavonia; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Susan Bagwell, Brunswick; sister-in-law, Mary Ballard, Joaquin, TX; uncle, Charlie Cannon, Snellville; grandchildren, Zachary, Creedence, Miles, Forrest and Cullen Bagwell, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Bagwell was active in youth activities such as Cub Scouts and Brownies when her children were young, arts through the Junior Woman's Club and was a founding member of the Gwinnett Council for the Arts which presented her the 1986 "Gwinnie Award". She was a 6th generation Gwinnett Countian and actively participated in preparation of "Gwinnett County Families, 1818-1968" published by the Gwinnett Historical Society. Paula was a proud mother and doting grandmother. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 12, at 11:00 AM at Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. Interment, Gwinnett Memorial Park.      Carroll Stanley Bagwell is the son of Carroll J. Bagwell and Virginia Puttnam Watson. Carroll Stanley Bagwell married Pamela Denise Carlisle on 29 December 1989.
