His Social Security registration (410-18-3358) said that he lived in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia, was born 12 Feb 1899 and the SSN was issues in Tennesssee. There is a World War I registration that showed in 1918 he lived in Murray County, Georgia. He married Flora May Bagwell, daughter of Charles Henry Bagwell and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Gribble, on 15 September 1918 at Maryville, Blount County, Tennessee. Melvin Kansas "Ben" Corum died on 6 November 1966 in Gilmer, Georgia, at age 67.¹ He was buried at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Elijay, Gilmer County, Georgia.¹

     Harvey Roy Corum was born on 31 August 1924 in Cuyahogaa, Ohio. He was the son of Melvin Kansas "Ben" Corum and Flora May Bagwell. Harvey Roy Corum died on 26 November 1944 at age 20 Died during World War II.
