COLUMBIA - Service for Rhoda B. Salter, 90, will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be Monday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Salter, wife of the late Jamell Walker Salter, died Saturday, April 12, 2008. Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late James M. and Arrie Cannon Bagwell and was a member of Northeast Presbyterian Church. Among her greatest joys were her grandchildren.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Rev. James and Mary Salter of Columbia; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Tom Davis of Blair; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Bill Salter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thornwell Home for Children, P.O. Box 60, Clinton, SC 29325 or to Northeast Presbyterian Church, 601 Polo Road, Columbia, SC 29223.1

She was buried at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, Columbia, Richland County, South Carolina.1
