Fannie Mae Nabors, 73, of Powell died Wednesday in Kingston following a two year illness.
Mrs. Nabors was born Sept 10, 1906, in Linn, IT and lived most of her life in Marshall County. She was married to Odie Austin Nabors, Dec 28, 1924 in Powell. He died July 19, 1971.
Mrs. Nabors was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Kingston for many years.
She is survived by six sons, J.D., Gerald, Billy, of Fort Worth, Eugene of Madill, Donald and Virgil of Kingston; two daughters, Irene Bearden, Fort Worth and Opal Cox of Oakland, 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by a brother E.D. Bagwell, and a sister Mrs. Minnie Caudle, both of Oklahoma City.
Services were Friday afternoon in Watts Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Morris in charge. He was assisted by Rev. Sammy Thompson. Music was arranged by Bill Dunn. Organist was Johnnie Ruth Jacks.
Burial was in Shay Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Mike Justice, Mike Crammer, Gerald Harris, Danny Powell, Jerry Jackson, and Buddy Mills. Honorary casket escorts were Larry Adams, and Wayne, Odel, Monroe and Leroy Thompson.

Odie Austin Nabors, 66 year old native of Marshall County, died Monday evening at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Nabors were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Shay Holiness Church where he was a member. A.G. Arnold officiated the services. Music was arranged by Bill Dunn.
Interment was in the Shay Cemetery. Watts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket escorts were Monroe Thompson, Milton Ash, Melvin Justice, Marvin Devin, Mack Purnell, and Clarence Adams.
Born January 11, 1905 at Powell, I.T. Nabors was reared and lived his entire life in that area. He was a farmer.
He was married to Miss Fannie Bagwell on December 28, 1924 in Powell. She survives.
Other survivors include six sons J.D., Eugene, Gerald and Delmas all of Fort Worth, Donald and Virgil Nabors both of Kingston, and two daughters Irene Bearden of Fort Worth and Mrs. Opal Cox of Kingston. Also 22 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Four brothers Grady and J.C. of Powell, George of Superior, Arizonia, and A.B. Nabors of Fort Worth, and a sister Mrs. Lula Yow also of Powell.

Gloria Bernice Bagwell passed away August 19, 2017 peacefully after living life to its fullest.
Gloria was born in Denver, Colorado on May 14, 1927 to Leonard and Bernice Klingzell. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and follower of Christ.
As a teenager, Gloria moved from Colorado to Riverside, California with her parents where she eventually met the love of her life, Fred Bagwell, who preceded her in death in 2011. They were married 63 years and raised three children, Cindi (Mike) Holt, Ron (Roxanne) Bagwell and Lisa (Christer) Fiege-Kollmann.
Her warmth and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her. Gloria is survived by her three children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The memorial service will be held at 3:30pm on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Saint Matthew Ecumenical Catholic Church, 1111 Town & County Road, Orange.

     Sallie H. Spears was born in December 1855 in South Carolina.¹ As of 1877,her married name was Bagwell. She married George Washington Boyd Bagwell, son of James Madison Bagwell and Martha Murrell, in 1877. Sallie H. Spears died in 1919.¹ She was buried at Brigham Cemetery, Campbell, Hunt County, Texas.¹

     Boyd Russell Bagwell was born on 16 December 1882 in Georgia.¹ He was the son of George Washington Boyd Bagwell and Sallie H. Spears.¹ Boyd Russell Bagwell married Ruby L. Ridley on 24 July 1906 at Hunt County, Texas. Boyd Russell Bagwell died on 26 March 1936 in Greenville, Hunt County, Texas, at age 53.¹ He was buried on 28 March 1936 at Rosemound Cemetery, Commerce, Hunt County, Texas.¹

     Ruby L. Ridley was born on 19 October 1884 in Texas. As of 24 July 1906,her married name was Bagwell. She married Boyd Russell Bagwell, son of George Washington Boyd Bagwell and Sallie H. Spears, on 24 July 1906 at Hunt County, Texas. Ruby L. Ridley died on 23 July 1974 in Citizens General Hospital, Greenville, Hunt County, Texas, at age 89. She was buried on 25 July 1974 at Rosemound Cemetery, Commerce, Hunt County, Texas.

     Kimbell Bagwell was born in 1908 in Texas. He was the son of Boyd Russell Bagwell and Ruby L. Ridley. Kimbell Bagwell died in 1924. He was buried at Rosemound Cemetery, Commerce, Hunt County, Texas.

     William Madison Bagwell was born on 18 October 1886 in Memphis, Hall County, Texas.¹ He was the son of George Washington Boyd Bagwell and Sallie H. Spears. William Madison Bagwell married Nova Alla Blanton on 20 May 1908 at Texas. William Madison Bagwell and Nova Alla Blanton lived in 1954 in Daytona Beach, Florida. William Madison Bagwell died in June 1957 at age 70.¹ He was buried at Shady Rest Cemetery, Holly Hill, Volusia County, Florida.¹

     Pearl E. Bagwell was born on 6 May 1890 in Texas. She was the daughter of George Washington Boyd Bagwell and Sallie H. Spears. Pearl E. Bagwell died on 10 July 1914 at age 24. She was buried at Fariview Cemetery (South Section), Memphis Hall County, Texas.

     Nancy Bagwell was born in 1859 in Mississippi. She was the daughter of Charles Burk Bagwell and Frances Simpson. As of 3 August 1876,her married name was Shiflet. Nancy Bagwell married Silas Andrew Shiflet on 3 August 1876 at Woodruff, Arkansas. Nancy Bagwell died in 1891.

     Mary Ann "Pop" Bagwell was born in 1833 in Alabama. She was the daughter of Warren Thomas Bagwell Jr. and Dicey McLendon. Mary Ann "Pop" Bagwell married Evan H. Bagwell, son of Furney Orin Bagwell and Parthenia Bayles, on 6 June 1850 at Union Parish, Louisiana. Evan H. Bagwell and Mary Ann Bagwell were first cousins. Mary Ann "Pop" Bagwell died after 5 June 1880.

     Eliza Catherine Moore married Evan H. Bagwell, son of Furney Orin Bagwell and Parthenia Bayles, on 10 May 1885 at Union Parish, Louisiana.

     Lois Ernestine Bagwell was born in 1912 in Tallaopoosa, Haralson County, Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Ernest Bagwell and Maude Velma Bennett.¹ Lois Ernestine Bagwell died in 1967 in Carroll County, Georgia.¹ She was buried at Buchanan City Cemetery, Buchanan, Haralson County, Georgia.¹

     Dorris John Newman was born on 5 March 1922.¹ He married Enid Lynett Bagwell, daughter of Henry Ernest Bagwell and Maude Velma Bennett, in 1942.¹ Dorris John Newman died on 16 May 2012 at age 90.¹ He was buried at Hollywood Cemetery, Tallapoosa, Haralson County, Georgia.¹

     Bouie Alexander Bagwell also went by the name of Buck. He was born on 16 July 1919 in Tallapoosa, Haralson County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Henry Ernest Bagwell and Maude Velma Bennett. Bouie Alexander Bagwell married Frances (?) after 1940. Bouie Alexander Bagwell died on 9 August 1998 in Gardendale, Jefferson County, Alabama, at age 79.¹ He was buried at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East, Trussville, Jefferson County, Alabama.¹

     Larkin Bagwell was born in 1820.¹ He enlisted in the 11th Alabama Regiment, Company K at Pinetucky, Alabama on 1861. He was wounded at Charlesburg, Virginia. He married Elizabeth Terry, daughter of Daniel Terry, on 19 December 1869 at Perry County, Alabama. Larkin Bagwell purchased land on 14 March 1889 at Jefferson County, Alabama, He bought 80.19 acres in Township 18-S, Range 2-W, Section 12, Accession Number: AL4550__.372. He died in 1919.¹ He was buried at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Leeds, Jefferson County, Alabama.¹

     Tempa "Tempy" Bagwell was also known as Tempie Bagwell. She was born in 1827 in Alabama.¹ She was the daughter of Jesse Bagwell and Mary "Polly" Raybourn.² As of 13 April 1845,her married name was Glass.³ Tempa "Tempy" Bagwell married John Glass on 13 April 1845 at Jefferson County, Alabama.^3,2 Tempa "Tempy" Bagwell died in 1889 in Jefferson County, Alabama.¹ She was buried at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Leeds, Jefferson County, Alabama.¹

     John Glass was born in 1805 in Georgia.¹ He married Mary Jane McDonald before 1832. BAGWELL, JIMMY MELVIN, age 69, of Corner, AL, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2002. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Sumiton, AL. He was a graduate of Corner High School and Auburn University. He was an U.S. Army Veteran (1st Lt., Tank Division). He was the owner and operator of Jim Bagwell Farms for 44 years. He was preceded in death by parents, Hoyt and Lucille Bagwell; and granddaughter, Michelle Rice.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Bagwell; daughter, Cynthia Brakefield and her husband, Larry of Corner, AL; son, James Daniel Bagwell of Redhook, New York; brothers, Jack Bagwell (Dorothy) and Jerry Bagwell (Shelba), all of Corner, AL.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 15, 2002 at 11:00 AM at New Horizon Memorial Chapel with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL. Rev. Doug Tate officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2002 from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home directing.
