     Hattie Bagwell was born on 26 January 1935 in Bagwell’s Crossroads Community, Alabama. She was the daughter of John Daniel Bagwell and Hallie Lee Peacock. As of circa 1992,her married name was Pippin. Hattie Bagwell married Kenneth Pippin circa 1992. Hattie Bagwell died on 13 May 2024 in Dothan, Alabama, at age 89

DOTHAN…Mrs. Hattie Bagwell Pippin, a resident of Dothan (formerly of Ozark), died early Monday morning, May 13, 2024. She was 89.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, May 16, 2024, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Woodham officiating. Burial will follow in Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pippin, daughter of the late John Daniel Bagwell and Hallie Lee Peacock Bagwell, was a native of Bagwell’s Crossroads Community, near Ozark and has lived in Dothan since 2017. She was retired from Van Heusen in Ozark after over twenty years of employment as a skip sampler. Following her retirement, she received her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Wallace Community College as part of her retirement package. Mrs. Pippin was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Cain and her husband, Vernon and a brother, Neal Bagwell.

Surviving relatives include her husband of thirty-two years, Kenneth Pippin, Dothan; daughter, Susan Miller, Dothan; sister, Virginia Stork, Huntsville; granddaughter, Amy Miller (Joseph); two great-grandchildren, Arianna Baldwin (Trevor) and Cheridea Harris; a great great grandson, Silas Baldwin; nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.




She was buried on 16 May 2024 at Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery, Ewell, Dale County, Alabama.

     Helen Louise Adkins was born on 16 January 1928 in South Carolina. As of before 1947,her married name was Bagwell. She married Carl William Bagwell, son of Tandy Walker Bagwell and Elizabeth Della Freeman, before 1947. Helen Louise Adkins died on 23 June 1993 in Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 65. She was buried on 26 June 1993 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.

     Jenny Lee Bagwell was born on 22 June 1947 in Pickens County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Carl William Bagwell and Helen Louise Adkins. As of before 25 December 1967,her married name was Perkins. Jenny Lee Bagwell married Larry Perkins before 25 December 1967. As of after 1970,her married name was Brannon. Jenny Lee Bagwell married James Brannon after 1970. Jenny Lee Bagwell died on 16 May 2005 in Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 57. She was buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.

     Nada Louise Bagwell was born on 22 April 1949 in South Carolina. She was the daughter of Carl William Bagwell and Helen Louise Adkins. As of before 25 December 1967,her married name was Hamlin. Nada Louise Bagwell married Mickey Hamlin before 25 December 1967. As of after 1970,her married name was Spearman. Nada Louise Bagwell married (?) Spearman after 1970. Nada Louise Bagwell died on 7 November 2010 at age 61. She was buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.

     Peggy Bagwell was born on 5 September 1950 in Easley, Anderson County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Carl William Bagwell and Helen Louise Adkins. As of circa 1967,her married name was Smith. Peggy Bagwell married Mitchell Smith circa 1967. Peggy Bagwell died on 28 December 2022 at age 72


Peggy Bagwell Smith, 72, best friend and loving wife of 55 years to Mitchell Smith, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Born in Easley, SC, she was a daughter of the late Bill Bagwell and the late Helen Adkins Bagwell. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who enjoyed crafts and was an avid reader.

She was predeceased by sisters Jenny Brannon of Easley, SC, Nada Spearman of Liberty, SC; grandson Blake Little of Easley, SC.


She was buried at Robinson Memorial Gardens, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.

     Charles Frederick Williams married Evelyn Dona Bagwell, daughter of Joseph Seaborn Bagwell and Jane Inez Cantrell, on 24 April 1943.

     Jeremiah Bagwell was also known as Weedy. He was born on 17 January 1990 in Lewes, Sussex County, Delaware. He was the son of Weldon Satchell Sr. and Vivian Ann Bagwell. Jeremiah Bagwell died on 18 September 2023 in Georgetown, Sussex County, Delaware, at age 33


Jeremiah "WEEDY" Bagwell, who was born on January 17, 1990 in Lewes, DE, to Vivian Bagwell and the late Weldon Satchell Sr. Jeremiah passed on September 18, 2023, in Georgetown, Delaware.
Jeremiah was educated in the Laurel School District. He was a hardworking and dedicated employee to all his jobs he obtain during his lifetime. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Jeremiah memory will be cherished forever.
Jeremiah was preceded in death by his father, Weldon Satchell Sr. and daughter, Jer'mirah Mirecal Bagwell.
Jeremiah is survived his beloved mother, Vivian Bagwell; three brothers, DeAngelo Bagwell; Jerry Bagwell; Weldon Satchell Jr; one sister, Deborah Jones (Ronald Jones); six nephews, Jayon Chandler; Timothy Satchell; Robert Hailey; Rodney Hailey; Ronald Jones Jr; Jerry Bagwell Jr; two nieces, Mia Rosario; Shylah Bagwell; stepdaughter, Serenity Mitchell. And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.


He was buried on 14 October 2023 at Mount Olive Cemetery, Laurel, Sussex County, Delaware.

     De Angelo Bagwell is the son of Vivian Ann Bagwell.

     Jerry Bagwell is the son of Vivian Ann Bagwell.

     Jer’mirah Mirecal Bagwell was born after 2008. She was the daughter of Jeremiah Bagwell. Jer’mirah Mirecal Bagwell died on 20 June 2014 in Salisbury, Maryland.

     Deborah Bagwell is the daughter of Vivian Ann Bagwell. Deborah Bagwell married Ronald Jones after 2003.
