He graduated in 2005 from John Paul II High School where he excelled in football and basketball, later attending UT Knoxville and MTSU, he was a member of the ATO Fraternity and was active in recovery circles in Middle Tennessee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Springfield Baptist Church, with his grandfather, Dr. Jerry Oakley, officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, with Carden Bagwell, Walt Bagwell, Brett Bagwell, DeMichael Crawley, Winder Buchanan, Golden Tate, Chuck Woosley and Daniel Alley serving as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Robertson County Funeral Home tonight from 4-8 p.m., and again on Friday at the church from 9-11 a.m.
