William Henry Bagwell III was buried on 5 June 2022 at Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison, Tennessee. He died on 5 June 2022 in Fleming Island, Florida, at age 92


William Henry Bagwell III, age 92, of Fleming Island, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. William was born in Nashville, TN and graduated from North High School in 1950.

William served his country in the US Air Force from 1950 to 1954 serving in Okinawa, Japan during the Korean War. During this time he married his beautiful bride on October 6, 1951, Bonnie Jean.

After he was honorably discharged from the Air Force, he was employed at Ford Glass. He was a UAW (United Auto Workers) Member since 1957 and a Ford Man for Life. He retired from Ford Glass after dedicating 30 years.

He was predeceased by his son, William Ron Bagwell in 1985.

In 2017, William and Bonnie moved to Fleming Island to be close to family. He was a member of Island View Baptist Church.

Mr. Bagwell is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Jean Goodwin Bagwell; devoted daughter, Marta Lynn Bagwell Powers (Roland Powers); two granddaughters: Jennifer Leigh Powers (John Benton) and Madison Nicole Powers; a great-grandchild, Aidan Joseph McClendon; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held, 11 AM, Thursday, June 9, 2022 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL. Burial will be at 1 PM, Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison, TN.

     Bonnie Jean Goodwin married William Henry Bagwell III, son of William Henry Bagwell II and Anna Louise Ragan, on 6 October 1951 at Robertson County, Tennessee.

     Jesse Edmond Savely was born on 29 March 1874 in Tennessee. He married Fannie Ida Bagwell, daughter of George W. Bagwell and Martha Jane Shoemaker, after 1890. Jesse Edmond Savely died on 1 March 1941 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, at age 66. He was buried at Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.

     Anna Louise Ragan was also known as Louise Ragan Bagwell Kleuver. She was born on 4 September 1909 in Tennessee. As of 4 June 1925,her married name was Bagwell. She married William Henry Bagwell II, son of William Henry Bagwell and Jippa Jane Wingo, on 4 June 1925 at Ashland City, Cheatham County, Tennessee. Anna Louise Ragan died on 7 December 1999 at age 90. She was buried at Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.
