Kayona Mae Perry Bagwell, age 61, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018. She was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky and graduated from Shelby County High School. Kayona was employed at Eastern High School in the cafeteria. She was a member of Elk Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Jackson Perry.

Kayona is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Kenneth; children, Adrian Sickles (Veronica), Kevin Sickles (Nikki), Myra Thompson (Mike), Cheryl Bagwell (Ricky Thomas), Kenneth Bagwell, Jr. (Erica), Troy Bagwell (April) and Anthony Bagwell; 23 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 8 adopted grandchildren; god-daughter, Dorothea Maddox; sisters, Barbara White, Beverly Tyler (Phil), Selma Perry, Sheila Thompson (Richard); brothers, Julius Perry and Wallace Perry (Bonnie); aunt, Virginia Francis Beach; uncle, David Perry; a host of nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be 2-8pm Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel in Middletown and 11am -1pm on Wednesday, June 20th. A celebration of Kayona's life will be 1pm Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery in Shelbyville, Kentucky.

John Mack Sims, 58, of 20 Rolling Green Road, Greer, passed away on Sept. 8, 1999, at Allen Bennett Hospital.
Son of Rena Bagwell Harrison of Greenville and the late Guy Sims, he attended and graduated from Ellen Woodside High School in Greenville County and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greer. Since 1979 he had been the manager of Greer Golf and Country Club and was owner of The Golf Pro Shop.
Mr. Sims' greatest legacy was his devotion to and love for his beloved wife, their children and grandchildren. He was a loyal friend to many who remember him as a teacher of love, generosity, and kindness for everyone in every walk of life. His loving and gentle ways have touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Mr. Sims is survived and cherished by his wife of 39 years, Linda Chandler Sims; three children, John Mack Sims Jr. of Greer, Stephen Todd Sims of Urbana, Ohio, and Julie Sims Giebner of Greer; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Blake Sims, Derek Chandler Sims, Haley Brooke Sims, Riley Stephen Sims, Nicholas Todd Sims, Katherine Anne Sims, and Chandler Russell Giebner; two sisters, Elaine Wilson of Roswell, Ga., and Brenda Perry of Dunwoody, Ga; a brother, Greg Harrison of Greenville; and stepfather, William Harrison of Greenville.
The family will receive friends today, Sept. 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at The Wood Mortuary in Greer.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Greer with graveside service following at Wood Memorial Park. Dr. H. Wilson Nelson will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bates, Fletcher Vaughn, Bardy Chapman, Mitch Turner, Robert Hannon, Doug Freeland, Bruce Redmon, and Wayne H. Keith. Honorary Escort will be members of the Board of Directors of Greer Country Club.

Dwayne Edward Bagwell was born March 26, 1956, in Dallas Texas. He passed away on April 11, 2022.
Eddie is survived by his daughter, Sarah Betts (Robert) in Denver CO, his brothers, Doyle, Jr. (Eliana), John (Roxanne) and little sister, Mary Pettyjohn (Kris) - all residing in the Dallas metroplex. He is preceded in death by his father Doyle, Sr. his mother Stella, and his younger brother, Paul.

He had a rare talent for creating art, and was an encyclopedia of musical knowledge spanning the 60’s through the 80’s. Evident of his roots, he was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Dr Pepper, and of course, Texas BBQ. He was never one to turn down a meal with family at his favorite restaurant, Marshall’s BBQ, in Farmers Branch.

A natural “fixer of things” - he made his living as an electrician as well as a mechanic. He was also a fan of Harley Davidson. He was a true individual.

Belton - William "Bill" Alfred Bagwell, 85, husband of Billie Jo Darby Bagwell, resident of 911 Cheddar Rd., went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday April 19, 2022 at his residence.

Born on February 8, 1937 in Anderson County to the late Alfred and Eva Mae Lollis Bagwell, and was a truck driver for 60 years.

William was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church where he served many years as Discipleship Director and Outreach Leader. In more recent years he attended Open Door Community Church. He loved visiting and witnessing for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He was a loving father, husband, and friend to many.

Surviving other than his loving wife of the home, are his sons, Tim Bagwell (Crystal), Larry Thompson (Karen), all of Belton, Darrell Bagwell (Rita) of Pineville, NC, and Barry Thompson (Kay) of Anderson; his daughters, Phyllis Sisk of Williamston, Debbie Garrett (Randall), Cindy Brewer, and Barbara Clatt (Steve), all of Belton; his step son, Ron Hall (Sherry) of Belton; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his previous wife, Faye Moody Bagwell, a daughter, Rita Faye Bagwell, and a sister, Marie Bagwell Austin.

Funeral Services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM from the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Ron Culbertson, Rev. Danny Parton, and Rev. Jason Dorriety officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home. They will receive friends Friday from 12:00 PM until 1:45PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Open Door Community Church, 102 Murphy Rd. Belton, SC 29627.


He was buried on 22 April 2022 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Belton, Anderson County, South Carolina.
