     Joesph Merrian Gammill was born on 17 August 1869. He married Ollie C. Bagwell, daughter of John Calvin Bagwell and Mary Elizabeth Staten, on 21 December 1895 at Monroe County, Mississippi. Joesph Merrian Gammill died on 13 March 1953 at age 83. He was buried at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery, Arberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi.

     Orvil G. Plunkett was born on 5 January 1917. He married Myrtle Norene Bagwell, daughter of Joseph Walker Fleming Bagwell and Roxie Lee Taylor, after 1935. Orvil G. Plunkett died on 12 November 2006 at age 89

Aberdeen - Orvil G. Plunkett, 89, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A lifelong resident of Monroe County, he was born Jan. 5, 1917, to Frank Plunkett and Dessie Mae Miller Plunkett. He retired from the Mississippi Highway Department, where he worked for 361-2 years. He worked for the Aberdeen Police Department from 1967-1969. He was a member of the Aberdeen Church of God and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Services were Nov. 15 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Aberdeen with burial in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Marie Sirasombath (Ketmany) of Tupelo; two sons, Richard Plunkett (Carol) of Tupelo and Tommy Plunkett (Melanie) of Aberdeen; five grandchildren, Kristen Plunkett, Brittany Plunkett, Walker Plunkett, Josh Roebuck and Aysa Sirasombath.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Myrtle Norene Bagwell Plunkett; one grandson, Matthew Allen Plunkett; and three sisters and three brothers.


He was buried at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery, Arberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi.

     Gladys Connor was born on 11 December 1928. As of after 1946,her married name was Bagwell. She married John Earl Bagwell, son of Tilmon Monroe Bagwell and Mattie Alpha Conley, after 1946. Gladys Connor died on 14 June 2002 at age 73. She was buried at Marshall Memorial Gardens, Albertville, Marshall County, Alabama.

     Charles Edward Jenkins married Emma Grace Bagwell, daughter of Huford Lesley Bagwell and Martha Mae Southard, after 1946.

     Sara Bagwell was born on 29 April 1934 in Georgia. As of after 1952,her married name was Adams. She married Richard Adams after 1952. Sara Bagwell died on 17 November 2021 in Georgia at age 87. She was buried on 20 November 2021 at New Harmony Baptist Cemetery, Cumming, Forsyth County, Georgia;


Sara Bagwell Adams, age 87, of Canton GA, passed away on November 17, 2021. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, wonderful with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sara enjoyed gardening and spending time with her pets. She enjoyed traveling the world to places such as France and Hawaii. She lived her whole life in the same homestead.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Adams of Canton, GA; children, Mike and Jeanne Adams of Canton, GA, Kelly and Greg Whitener of Senoia, GA; grandchildren, Allison Adams of Evansville, IN, Emily Odowd of Canton, GA; 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 21, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Purcell officiating. The interment will follow at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.

     Robert F. Richards was born in 1920. He married Virginia L. Bagwell, daughter of James John Bagwell and Bridgett Mary Mahoney, after 1946. Robert F. Richards died in 2004.

     Dolores Ann Bagwell was born in 1936 in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. She was the daughter of James Bagwell and Margaret King. As of 24 July 1954,her married name was Rioux. Dolores Ann Bagwell married Ernest Joseph Rioux on 24 July 1954 at Manchester, New Hampshire. Dolores Ann Bagwell died on 20 November 2000 in Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire,
