She married Cecil Ray Bagwell, son of James Cecil Bagwell and Mildred Irene Marsh, on 29 August 1951 at Smith County, Texas. Bonnie Lee Shamburger died on 24 July 2010 at age 82. She was buried at Pine Springs Cemetery, Tyler, Smith County, Texas.

     Rebecca Lynne Bagwell is the daughter of Cecil Ray Bagwell and Bonnie Lee Shamburger. Rebecca Lynne Bagwell married Melton Dean Shepherd on 21 September 1977 at Smith County, Texas.

     Louise King was also known as Viola King. She was born on 26 June 1932. As of circa 1957,her married name was Bagwell. She married James Carter Bagwell, son of John William Bagwell and Marjorie Burrell, circa 1957. Louise King died on 27 May 2014 at age 81. She was buried at Mauldin United Methodist Church Cemetery, Mauldin, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     Cecile Garvin Bagwell was born on 27 March 1930 in Greenville County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of John William Bagwell and Marjorie Burrell. As of after 1952,her married name was Brown. Cecile Garvin Bagwell married (?) Brown after 1952. Cecile Garvin Bagwell died on 27 March 1996 at age 66.

     John Stanley Bagwell was born on 18 April 1960 in Sumter, South Carolina. He was the son of James Carter Bagwell and Louise King. John Stanley Bagwell lived in 2020 in Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina. He died on 22 June 2022 at age 62


John Stanley “Stan” Bagwell, 62, went peacefully to his heavenly reward on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

Born in Sumter, SC, he was the son of the late James and Viola King Bagwell.

Stan was a member of Mauldin United Methodist Church. He “ran a good race and fought the good fight”. Stan used the life given him by his Lord and Savior, Jesus, to care for others while “fretting not”.

He is survived by his sister, Kathie Wilson and husband, Pete; brother-in-law, Lewis Switzer; two nieces; one nephew; and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vickie Switzer.

A visitation will be held Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. at Mauldin United Methodist Church followed by the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Church Cemetery.

Althea Bertha Jones and Lawrence Raymond Bagwell were divorced on 24 July 1985 at Panola County, Texas. Althea Bertha Jones died on 16 May 1986 in Rusk County, Texas, at age 83. She was buried on 19 May 1986 at Westlawn Cemetery, Del Rio, Val Verde County, Texas.

     Betty J. Poehls married Lawrence Raymond Bagwell, son of George Newton Bagwell and Eliza Templin, on 26 July 1986 at Morris County, Texas.

     Elizabeth L. Boyd married Lawrence Raymond Bagwell, son of George Newton Bagwell and Eliza Templin, on 30 November 1951 at San Francisco, California.

     (?) Ray married Wanda Ann Bagwell, daughter of John Enos Bagwell and Linda Faye Harvey, after 1984.

     Bessie Roberta Bagwell was born on 16 May 1917 in Ware Shoals, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Enos Arthur Bagwell and Nancy Elmina Harvey. As of after 1935,her married name was Fain. Bessie Roberta Bagwell married Edward Fain after 1935. Bessie Roberta Bagwell died on 20 January 1999 at age 81. She was buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Ninety Six, Greenwood County, South Carolina.

     Edward Fain was born on 5 August 1920. He married Bessie Roberta Bagwell, daughter of Enos Arthur Bagwell and Nancy Elmina Harvey, after 1935. Edward Fain died on 17 April 1985 at age 64. He was buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Ninety Six, Greenwood County, South Carolina.

     Infant Boy Bagwell was born circa 1948. He was the son of John Arthur Bagwell and Mary Frances Farmer. Infant Boy Bagwell died on 26 March 1948 in Geneal Hospital, Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     John Mark Bagwell was also known as John Marcus Bagwell. He was born on 5 February 1949 in South Carolina. He was the son of Margaret Prather. John Mark Bagwell married Peggy Ann Hopper on 28 February 1979. John Mark Bagwell died on 15 January 2022 at age 72


Saturday, January 15, 2022, John’s suffering ended. He is in the presence of Jesus forever. Pretty Peggy his bride of 42 years and some of his family were with him.
John accepted Christ on June 10, 1979. He followed Christ until his last breath. Peggy was the love of his life on earth. She led him to Christ. John had a plastic eye, and he took great delight in playing pranks with it. Even in sickness, John kept the joy of the Lord. John loved to make people laugh. He had a huge heart and was a generous giver. He will be missed by all that knew him. When he was younger, he was the owner of E & M Transportation in Flagler Beach, Florida. Dedicated to the Department of Defense. While living here, he worked for GHS, Perrigo, Carter & Crawley, and Hartness International.
Peggy’s family was his family: sisters-in-law, Joy Decker, Pam McKellar (Michael), Donna Brady (Ken), and Sandy Hopper; niece, Tonya Thompson; nephews, Jamey Thompson and Ryan Brady; great-niece, Abby Mathuews; and great-nephews, Thomas Brady and Connor Brady.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Eastside Worship Center conducted by Bishop Josh Childress and Dr. Julian Galloway.
Visitation will be held 2:00-2:45 p.m. Sunday at the church.
