Mr. James Robert "Jimmy" Bagwell, 84, of Bath, SC, beloved husband of nearly 64 years, Patricia Johnson "Patsy" Bagwell, entered into rest on Thursday morning, February 12, 2026, at home.
A lifelong resident of the area, Jimmy is the son of Sam "Drizzle" and Vera Redd Bagwell. He graduated from LBC High School in 1960 and began his career that spanned over forty years with the former Owens Corning Fiberglass.
Jimmy was a member of Bath First Baptist and served in any capacity that he could. He enjoyed solving the world's problems with the Hardees crew, trips to the lake and mountains, keeping his yard immaculate, and was an avid DAWG fan. He was a proud "valley boy." Jimmy did something that many can not say. He once completed the Boston Marathon.
Family was of the utmost importance to Jimmy. Time spent with them, especially his grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kim) Jones, Patrick (Ashleigh) Durham, Payton (Kamryn) Craig, Eric (Candace) Bagwell, and Brittany (Duane) Cox, his fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, was always cherished.
Along with his wife and grandchildren, Jimmy is loved, missed, and memories will be cherished by his children, Jamie (Todd) Jones, Robbie Bagwell, and Kerry (Calvin) Craig, siblings, Linda (Ray) Lamb and Judy Duncan, as well as extended family members, countless friends and let us not forget his faithful canine companion, Rocky.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 3 o'clock at Bath First Baptist Church, Bath, SC. Pastor Herb Sons will officiate. The family will greet friends at the church on Sunday, beginning at 2 o'clock. Members of Jimmy's home group are asked to serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Also preceding Jimmy in death was a brother, Ronnie Bagwell, granddaughter, April Jones and great granddaughter, Kenley Jones.

Walter R. Bagwell was born on 27 January 1943 in South Carolina. He was the son of Samuel Bagwell and Vera E. Redd. Walter R. Bagwell married Martha Murrell after 1962. Walter R. Bagwell died on 23 December 2024 in Aiken, South Carolina, at age 81
Mr. Walter R. “Ronnie” Bagwell, 81, of Aiken, beloved husband of thirty-eight years to Martha Murrell Bagwell, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 23, 2024, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.
A lifelong area resident, he was the son of the late Samuel “Sam” and Vera Redd Bagwell. Ronnie proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from the Gregg Division of the Graniteville Company with twenty-five years of service.
Ronnie loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved youth sports and formerly coached and umpired. He was happiest when he was cheering on his beloved Gamecocks, keeping his yard immaculate, or shooting a game of pool. However, nothing made him happier than spending time with his family. Ronnie was well known for his tomatoes and collards.
Along with his wife, Martha, Ronnie is also loved, and missed and will always be in the hearts of his children, Walt (Juan) Bagwell and Wendi (Ronald) Reeves; siblings, Linda (Ray) Lamb, Jimmy (Patsy) Bagwell and Judy Duncan, grandchildren, Sonya (Joseph) Bennington, Trevor (Ashley) Herron, Travis (Skylar) Courtney, Chase Reeves, Hunter (Kaitlin) Hutto, Trenton Taylor, Dylan (Paige Lain) Reeves, Camden Taylor and Lucy Cockrell, great-grandchildren, Nevin Bennington, Finley Courtney, Grayson Reeves, Atison Herron and Waylon Taylor.
Ronnie was preceded in death by a son, David Hutto, a daughter, Tricia Herron, and a brother-in-law, Eddie Duncan.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, December 28, 2024, beginning at 11 o’clock at Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 o’clock at the church. Pastors Stephen Phillips, Jonathan Randall and Rick Stokley will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as Pallbearers will be Larry Davis, Trevor Herron, Hunter Hutto, Travis Courtney, Chase Reeves, Trenton Taylor, Dylan Reeves, and Camden Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be the past ball players that Ronnie coached.
