Jerry Marshall Bagwell, of Raleigh, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. He was 72 years old.
Jerry was born on December 9, 1950, to Bobby and Helen Bagwell of Raleigh. He graduated from Cary High School and worked at US Floor Systems for over 15 years, and finished his working career at Ravenscroft School, where he worked 18 years in maintenance and ground keeping. Jerry met his wife, Pam, in 1978 and dated 5 short months before getting married on August 19, 1978. They knew from the beginning that they had found their soulmate. They completed their family with the birth of their daughter, Ashli, in September of 1980. Besides spending time with family and friends, Jerry's favorite thing was spending time outdoors. He loved to walk the pier at the beach and would sit outside listening to the waves. He would always light up the room with his witty jokes and had the ability to make anyone around him smile. Cracking jokes and laughter was his favorite. When Jerry wasn't with family, he could be found tending to his pepper plants, doing woodworking projects or finding new cooking recipes on tv. He loved to share his knowledge of these hobbies with everyone.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Helen Bagwell. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pamela Bagwell, daughter Ashli Dunlow and husband Scott, son Jason Bagwell and wife Mandy. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by grandchildren Evan Dunlow, Landon Dunlow, Madison Dunlow, Caitlyn Bagwell, Ethan Bagwell and a host of lifetime family and friends.


He was buried at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina.

     Sylvia Lynette McDowell married Jerry Marshall Bagwell, son of Bobby Marshall Bagwell and Helen Marie Moody, on 12 January 1974 at Johnston County, North Carolina. Sylvia Lynette McDowell and Jerry Marshall Bagwell were divorced on 19 July 1978 at Wake County, North Carolina.

     Ashili Bagwell is the daughter of Jerry Marshall Bagwell and Pamela Dianne Holloman. Ashili Bagwell married Scott Dunlow after 1997.

     Jeannine Little was born on 15 December 1942 in Morris, Jefferson County, Alabama. As of November 1964,her married name was Bagwell. She married James M. Bagwell, son of Manuel Wilson Bagwell and Lilly Louise Simpson, in November 1964 at Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. Jeannine Little died on 20 June 2023 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, at age 80. She was buried at Bethel Cemetery, Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.
