"Bill" Murphree, Jr., and the daughter of the late Allie Bagwell Norwood and the late Samuel Bagwell. She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family was the heart of her life.
She is survived by her children, Randy Murphree of Greenville, MS, Cindy (Allen Potter) Murphree of Indianola, MS, and Vicky (Eddie) Parish of Minter City, MS; Jessie was blessed with six grandchildren, Matthew (Ashly) Baldwin of Berthoud, CO, Michael (April) Baldwin of Money, MS, Marshall (Hillary) Baldwin of Artesia, NM, Brian Parish (Alana Palmer) of Cleveland, MS, Jessica Parish of Phillip, MS, and Jake (Jessie) Murphree of Coila, MS. Her joy continued to grow with her great-grandchildren, Brynlee Baldwin and Matthew Baldwin of Berthoud, CO, Adalyn Baldwin, Alice Kate Baldwin, and Yates Baldwin of Money, MS, Garrett Baldwin, Gavin Baldwin and Grant Baldwin of Artesia, NM, Tristan Darling and Ava Grace Hays of Phillip, MS, Ryan Murphree of Coila, MS, and Abram Parish of Cleveland, MS.
Jessie was a long-time employee of the Bank of Ruleville until her retirement. She will be remembered for her strength and steadfast love to those closest to her. She leaves behind devotion that will live on through the many lives she touched. The family would like to acknowledge Mae Jee, mom's closest neighbor and family friend for over 60 years. Jessie's family would also like to thank Peaches Walker and Starmeka Shepherd for the compassionate care of Mom in her final days.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 14, from 12 pm to 2 pm at Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville. Graveside services will be held immediately after the visitation in Lehrton Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Turner will officiate.
