     Stella Bagwell was born in February 1886 in Ringgold County, Iowa.¹ She was the daughter of Jonathan Henry Bagwell and Margarete Ellen Owen. As of 28 June 1909,her married name was McCullough. Stella Bagwell married William H. McCullough on 28 June 1909 at Wellington, Sumner County, Kansas.¹

     Raymond Woodrow Bagwell was born on 16 June 1890 in Ringgold, Iowa. He was the son of Jonathan Henry Bagwell and Margarete Ellen Owen. Raymond Woodrow Bagwell married Elizabeth Ellen Creed on 18 May 1912 at Wellington, Sumner County, Kansas. Raymond Woodrow Bagwell died on 26 September 1928 in La Junta, Otero County, Colorado, at age 38. He was buried at Fairview Cemetery, La Junta, Otero County, Colorado.

     Elizabeth Ellen Creed was also known as Elizabeth Ellen Kranz. She was born on 1 October 1894 in South Haven, Sumner County, Kansas. As of 18 May 1912,her married name was Bagwell. She married Raymond Woodrow Bagwell, son of Jonathan Henry Bagwell and Margarete Ellen Owen, on 18 May 1912 at Wellington, Sumner County, Kansas. Elizabeth Ellen Creed died on 9 October 1958 in La Junta, Otero County, Colorado, at age 64. She was buried at Fairview Cemetery, La Junta, Otero County, Colorado.

     Woodrow Lewis Bagwell was born on 11 October 1918 in La Junta, Otero County, Colorado. He was the son of Raymond Woodrow Bagwell and Elizabeth Ellen Creed. Woodrow Lewis Bagwell married Georgia Maureen Thomas after 1933. Woodrow Lewis Bagwell died on 19 July 1988 in Fort Lyons, Bent County, Colorado, at age 69. He was buried at Fairview Cemetery, La Junta, Otero County, Colorado.

     Dorothy Elizabeth Bagwell was born on 11 June 1922 in La Junta, Otero County, Colorado. She was the daughter of Raymond Woodrow Bagwell and Elizabeth Ellen Creed. As of after 1941,her married name was Fast. Dorothy Elizabeth Bagwell married Forrest Luke Fast after 1941. Dorothy Elizabeth Bagwell died on 19 May 1995 in Fairfax, Osage County, Oklahoma, at age 72. She was buried at Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax, Osage County, Oklahoma.

     Forrest Luke Fast was born on 15 March 1919 in Coyle, Payne County, Oklahoma. He married Dorothy Elizabeth Bagwell, daughter of Raymond Woodrow Bagwell and Elizabeth Ellen Creed, after 1941. Forrest Luke Fast died on 17 August 1991 in Fairfax, Osage County, Oklahoma, at age 72.

     John LeRoy Bagwell was born on 12 March 1893 in Diagonal, Ringgold County, Iowa. He was the son of Jonathan Henry Bagwell and Margarete Ellen Owen. John LeRoy Bagwell married Mary Caroline Gentry on 12 June 1912 at Caldwell, Sumner County, Kansas. John LeRoy Bagwell died on 3 December 1967 in Grants Pass, Josephine County, Oregon, at age 74. He was buried at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens, Grants Pass, Josephine County, Oregon.

     Mary Caroline Gentry was born on 28 July 1892 in Caldwell, Sumner County, Iowa. She married John LeRoy Bagwell, son of Jonathan Henry Bagwell and Margarete Ellen Owen, on 12 June 1912 at Caldwell, Sumner County, Kansas. As of before 1914,her married name was Bagwell. Mary Caroline Gentry died on 16 January 1982 in Roseburg, Douglas County, Oregon, at age 89.

     Eunice Amanda Bagwell was also known as Amanda Eunice Bagwell. She was born on 7 July 1857 in Appanoose County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Green William Bagwell and Rebecca Cooper. As of 15 March 1874,her married name was Etherton. Eunice Amanda Bagwell married Charles Wesley Etherton on 15 March 1874 at Bloomington, Franklin County, Nebraska. Eunice Amanda Bagwell died in October 1942 at age 85. She was buried at Red Cloud Cemetery, Red Cloud, Webster County, Nebraska.

     Charles Wesley Etherton married Eunice Amanda Bagwell, daughter of Green William Bagwell and Rebecca Cooper, on 15 March 1874 at Bloomington, Franklin County, Nebraska.

     Emily Caroline Bagwell was also known as Carrie Bagwell.¹ She was born in 1870 in Appanoose County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Green William Bagwell and Rebecca Cooper. Emily Caroline Bagwell and Rebecca Cooper lived in 1885 in Wright, Wayne County, Iowa. As of 1888,her married name was McVay. Emily Caroline Bagwell married Asa Milton McVay in 1888 at Hartford, Putnam County, Missouri. Emily Caroline Bagwell owned land in Garden, Boone County, Iowa, in 1896.

     Asa Milton McVay was born on 20 March 1866 in Liberty, Putnam County, Missouri. He married Emily Caroline Bagwell, daughter of Green William Bagwell and Rebecca Cooper, in 1888 at Hartford, Putnam County, Missouri. Asa Milton McVay died on 12 May 1942 in Pacific Juntion, Iowa, at age 76.

     Donald Lee Bagwell was born on 17 December 1922 in La Junta, Otero County, Colorado.¹ He was the son of John LeRoy Bagwell and Mary Caroline Gentry. Donald Lee Bagwell married Eileen Joyce THOMPSON circa 1945. Donald Lee Bagwell died on 12 March 1999 in Roseburg, Douglas County, Oregon, at age 76. He was buried at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens, Grants Pass, Josephine County, Oregon.¹

     Eileen Joyce THOMPSON was born on 5 August 1929 in Graham, Alamance County, North Carolina. As of circa 1945,her married name was Bagwell. She married Donald Lee Bagwell, son of John LeRoy Bagwell and Mary Caroline Gentry, circa 1945. Eileen Joyce THOMPSON died on 16 December 2023 in Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona, at age 94


Eileen Joyce Bagwell passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at age 94, in Glendale, Arizona, from complications due to a broken leg. She was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Graham, North Carolina, to Dewey and Alice Thompson and grew up in Straubville, North Dakota, and she lived a long and fulfilled life.

She is survived by her son David Bagwell (his children Matt and Caitlin and his wife Linda), her daughter Donna Ebert (her husband Michael Ebert and their sons James and Daniel), sister Anne Gahley, brothers Don, Ron, and Gene Thompson and their wives. She also left behind many cousins, nieces and nephews and their families. Her husband of 45 years Don Bagwell, preceded her in death in 1999. Also predeceasing her was her brother George and sister Norma.

Her religion was very important to her as was her painting, cake decorating, cooking and traveling. She always wanted to go and explore different places, especially the Oregon coast and Yuma, Arizona.

Eileen taught school from the age of 19 to the age of 58 in many different places. Starting at a one room schoolhouse in North Dakota, to Sunny Valley, the Wilderville School and Murphy School in the Grants Pass, Oregon, area. Then finishing off at Winchester School in Roseburg, Oregon.

Eileen left behind many special friends, including Larry Roberts, Jeanine and Ralph Senn and many other church friends in Roseburg and Yuma. Her service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday July 19, 2024, at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses in Roseburg, Oregon. She will be interred at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens in Grants Pass, Oregon.


She was buried at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens, Grant Pass, Josphine County, Oregon.

     Eva Mae Bagwell was born on 17 December 1929 in La Junta, Otero County, Colorado. She was the daughter of John LeRoy Bagwell and Mary Caroline Gentry. As of after 1945,her married name was Clement. Eva Mae Bagwell married John N. Clement after 1945. Eva Mae Bagwell married Joseph Clement on 24 September 1948 at Wilderville, Oregon. Eva Mae Bagwell died on 17 December 2014 in Medford, Jackson County, Oregon, at age 85 Parents: John and Mary (Gentry) Bagwell.

She grew up in Colorado, and Stockton, California, before moving to Grants Pass, Oregon, in her high school years. Eva graduated from Grants Pass High School.

On September 24, 1948, she married the dashing Joseph Clement, ”the most handsome man she ever met,” in Wilderville, Oregon. Together they raised three daughters and one son.

Eva and Joe lived in the Grants Pass area until moving to Roseburg, Oregon, in 1959 where they lived until 1975, when they moved to Post Falls, Idaho. In 1992, they moved back to Applegate, Oregon, where they were members of the Applegate Community Church.

Eva had worked at Sprouse-Ritz and the Roseburg School District. Eva had a passion for her Lord and her family. She also was very involved in children’s and women’s ministries. As time allowed, she also enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts and crossword puzzles.

Eva, age 85, of Medford, Oregon, went home to be with the Lord early Wednesday morning, December 17, 2014, at her home with family by her side.

Eva is survived by Joseph Clement, her dear husband of 66 years. She is also survived by three daughters and one son. Edie Preston (Tenmile, OR), Shirley Collins (Medford, OR), and Mary Zimmerman (Williams, OR), Thomas Clement (Post Falls, ID). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Eva is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Bagwell; three brothers Herman Bagwell, James Bagwell and Donald Bagwell; and one sister Laurene Haag.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Applegate Community Church on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 2:00 p.m.

     Walter W. Bagwell was born on 28 May 1920 in La Junta, Otero County, Colorado. He was the son of John LeRoy Bagwell and Mary Caroline Gentry. Walter W. Bagwell died on 11 June 1921 in La Junta, Otero County, Colorado, at age 1.

     James Raymond Bagwell was born on 15 June 1918 in La Junta, Otero County, Colorado. He was the son of John LeRoy Bagwell and Mary Caroline Gentry. He enlisted in the US Nacy on July 16, 1941 (Service Number: 372 34 48).

On 2 October 1941 he was stationed on the USS Enterprise (CV-6) as a Gunner's Mate 1. Later the USS Enterprise designation changed to CVN-65 as it had night time operations. Records show he continually mustered on the Enterprise as of Jan 1, 1946. James Raymond Bagwell married Vernice Marie Smith on 21 January 1945 at District of Columbia. James Raymond Bagwell died on 1 January 1977 at age 58. He was buried at Resurrection Cemetery, Pulaski County, Missouri.

     Vernice Marie Smith was born on 22 September 1923 in Houma, Louisiana. As of 21 January 1945,her married name was Bagwell. She married James Raymond Bagwell, son of John LeRoy Bagwell and Mary Caroline Gentry, on 21 January 1945 at District of Columbia. Vernice Marie Smith died on 14 December 2003 in Springfield, Missouri, at age 80. She was buried at Resurrection Cemetery, Pulaski County, Missouri.

     Her married name was Haag. Laurene Eleanora Bagwell married William H. Haag. Laurene Eleanora Bagwell was born on 25 October 1915 in La Junta, Otero County, Colorado. She was the daughter of John LeRoy Bagwell and Mary Caroline Gentry. Laurene Eleanora Bagwell died on 8 January 1994 at age 78.

     William H. Haag married Laurene Eleanora Bagwell, daughter of John LeRoy Bagwell and Mary Caroline Gentry.

     Herman L. Bagwell was born on 3 July 1913 in Kansas. He was the son of John LeRoy Bagwell and Mary Caroline Gentry. Herman L. Bagwell married Pauline Sturgeon after 1930. Herman L. Bagwell died on 3 November 1993 in Roseburg, Douglas County, Oregon, at age 80.

     Margaret Zilley Lawrence was born on 20 September 1857 in Armuchee, Floyd County, Georgia.¹ As of 14 March 1876,her married name was Bagwell. She married William Henry Bagwell, son of John Wesley Bagwell and Nancy Jane Isham, on 14 March 1876 at Everett Springs, Floyd County, Georgia. Margaret Zilley Lawrence died on 14 April 1930 in Manassa, Conejos County, Colorado, at age 72.¹ She was buried at Old Manassa Cemetery, Manassa, Conejos County, Colorado.¹

     Lola Maybell Bagwell was born on 23 May 1880 in Armuchee, Floyd County, Georgia. She was the daughter of William Henry Bagwell and Margaret Zilley Lawrence. As of 26 May 1898,her married name was Anderson. Lola Maybell Bagwell married Thomas Jackson Anderson on 26 May 1898 at Costilla, Taos County, New Mexico. Lola Maybell Bagwell died on 4 July 1945 in Safford, Graham County, Arizona, at age 65.

     Thomas Jackson Anderson was born on 29 December 1868 in Armuchee, Floyd County, Georgia. He married Lola Maybell Bagwell, daughter of William Henry Bagwell and Margaret Zilley Lawrence, on 26 May 1898 at Costilla, Taos County, New Mexico.

     William Lawrence Bagwell was born on 7 July 1887 in Conejos, Conejos County, Colorado. He was the son of William Henry Bagwell and Margaret Zilley Lawrence. William Lawrence Bagwell married Mabel Reed on 15 October 1913 at Manassa, Conejos County, Colorado. William Lawrence Bagwell died on 1 October 1966 in Manassa, Conejos County, Colorado, at age 79. He was buried at Old Manassa Cemetery, Manassa, Conejos County, Colorado.¹

     Mabel Reed was born on 30 March 1892 in Manassa, Conejos County, Colorado.¹ As of 15 October 1913,her married name was Bagwell. She married William Lawrence Bagwell, son of William Henry Bagwell and Margaret Zilley Lawrence, on 15 October 1913 at Manassa, Conejos County, Colorado. Mabel Reed died on 1 January 1980 in La Jara, Conejos County, Colorado, at age 87.¹ She was buried at Old Manassa Cemetery, Manassa, Conejos County, Colorado.¹

     Luther Norland Bagwell was born on 20 February 1890 in Los Cerritos, Conejos County, Colorado.¹ He was the son of William Henry Bagwell and Margaret Zilley Lawrence. Luther Norland Bagwell married Mary Catherine "Katie" Brothers on 25 December 1911 at Sanford, Conejos County, Colorado.¹ Luther Norland Bagwell died on 21 November 1987 in Manassa, Conejos County, Colorado, at age 97.¹ He was buried at New Manassa Cemetery, Manassa, Conejos County, Colorado.¹
