Marsha Ann (Bagwell) Campbell, age 77, a resident of Robertsdale, Alabama passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 1, 2021. Marsha was a caring wife and a loving mother. Marsha worked hard her entire life but especially enjoyed her time at the Alabama Department of Public Safety where she worked as a driver license examiner. Always a joyful person – no one can ever remember seeing her angry. Marsha was such an authentic and special person, her charming smile, and her eyes full of love and tenderness. She loved her family and friends as well as all animals, especially her dogs. In her free time, Marsha enjoyed painting, traveling, and lunches with her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Campbell, son Jim Campbell and a sister Krysta Bagwell. She is survived by her son, David (Koryn) Campbell, stepson Jamie (Sarah) Campbell and his children, Aimee, Liberty and Samantha; two brothers, Karl Bagwell and Bobby (Mary) Bagwell.

A memorial service will be held at the Robertsdale United Methodist Church Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baldwin County Humane Society, 22886 US Highway 98, Fairhope, AL 36532.

Karen Bagwell Johnson, loving Mother and Granny, age 71, of Taos, New Mexico passed away on February 20, 2015 surrounded by her children.

Karen was born on October 27, 1943 in Alamosa, Colorado. She was raised in Manassa, Colorado. The oldest of two children, she was the daughter of the late Otho Edgar and Louise Dyer Bagwell.

She graduated high school in Manassa and later attended college in Albuquerque, New Mexico. During her lifetime, she worked many jobs. Some of which were, as an operator for the phone company, power plant employee, abstract company administrative assistant, waitress, newspaper delivery services and as a 911 emergency operator. But the job she considered most important was taking time to raise her four children.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her faith and love of family were first and foremost. She also loved spending time with family, having fun with friends and listening to classic country music.

Granny, as she was known to her grandchildren, spent much of her time burning up the highway after her retirement. She visited her children and grandchildren often. She was a kind and generous person who loved to laugh. She was a good listener and a great friend. Her love for her family was absolute and unwavering. Grandchildren were loved and spoiled by “Super Granny” constantly. She knew everyone’s favourite snack, birthday, and special events. She would make regular deliveries of goodies to those who lived nearby, and would send shriek-inducing packages to those too far away. She always made everyone feel special.

Karen will forever be remembered by her loving children, daughter Eileen Johnson of Espanola, New Mexico; daughter and son-in-law Sheli and MarkBechaver of Manassa, Colorado; daughter and son-in-law Wendy and Chance Perkins of Bloomfield, New Mexico; son and daughter-in-law Blake and Alicia Johnson of Choctaw, Oklahoma; beloved grandchildren Chelsea, Bryce and Josh Bechaver; Cheyenne, Cheridan, Brody, and BryleePerkins; Kylee, Kristen and Katelynn Johnson; brother Timothy Bagwell of Manassa, Colorado, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her.

Karen touched the lives of many people with her kindness and generosity. A memorial service was held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Manassa, Colorado.


She was buried at New Manassa Cemetery, Manassa, Conejos County, Colorado.

     Ralph Howard Metcalf married Izora Bagwell, daughter of William Lawrence Bagwell and Mabel Reed, on 3 June 1951.¹

     Lorraine Bagwell was born on 24 November 1933.¹ She was the daughter of William Lawrence Bagwell and Mabel Reed.¹ As of 7 January 1951,her married name was Smith.¹ Lorraine Bagwell married William Carl Smith on 7 January 1951.¹ Lorraine Bagwell died on 8 February 2010 at age 76.¹

     William Carl Smith married Lorraine Bagwell, daughter of William Lawrence Bagwell and Mabel Reed, on 7 January 1951.¹

     Frances "Fannie" Kentucky Cox was born on 19 July 1868 in Edgefield, Edgefield County, South Carolina.¹ As of 27 March 1890,her married name was Bagwell. She married Charles Albert Bagwell, son of John Madison Bagwell and Louise Eveline Burton, on 27 March 1890 at Iron Rock, Franklin County, Georgia. Frances "Fannie" Kentucky Cox died on 3 December 1956 in Franklin County, Georgia, at age 88.¹ She was buried at Oak View Cemetery, Canon, Franklin County, Georgia.¹

     Anna Blanche Bagwell was born on 18 April 1891 in Franklin County, Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Albert Bagwell and Frances "Fannie" Kentucky Cox. As of after 1900,her married name was Ginn. Anna Blanche Bagwell married Candler Marion Ginn in 1914.¹ Anna Blanche Bagwell died on 10 March 1963 in Fulton County, Georgia, at age 71.¹ She was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Royston, Franklin County, Georgia.¹

     Albert Raymond Bagwell was born on 13 March 1893 in Franklin County, Georgia. He was the son of Charles Albert Bagwell and Frances "Fannie" Kentucky Cox. Albert Raymond Bagwell died on 28 November 1965 in Fulton County, Georgia, at age 72. He was buried at Oak View Cemetery, Canon, Franklin County, Georgia.

     Ernest Burton Bagwell was born on 22 February 1895 in Georgia. Ernest Burton Bagwell married Nona Mable Buice on 14 April 1918 at Franklin County, Georgia. Ernest Burton Bagwell married Mabel (?) before 1920. Ernest Burton Bagwell died on 9 April 1975 in Stephens County, Georgia, at age 80.¹ He was buried at Stephens Memorial Gardens, Toccoa, Stephens County, Georgia.¹

     John Newton Bagwell was born on 3 May 1899 in Franklin County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Charles Albert Bagwell and Frances "Fannie" Kentucky Cox. John Newton Bagwell married Charlotte (?) before 1950. John Newton Bagwell died on 26 October 1965 in Mentor, Lake County, Ohio, at age 66.¹ He was buried at Oak View Cemetery, Canon, Franklin County, Georgia.

     Louise Bagwell was born on 22 November 1910 in Rochester, Haskell County, Texas. She was the daughter of William King Bagwell and Myrtle Sue Farley. As of 15 September 1930,her married name was Erskine. Louise Bagwell married William Wallace Erskine on 15 September 1930 at Clovis, Curry County, New Mexico. Louise Bagwell died on 18 May 1992 in Sonoma, Sonoma County, California, at age 81. She was buried at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California.

     William Wallace Erskine was born on 21 December 1890 in Menard County, Texas. He married Louise Bagwell, daughter of William King Bagwell and Myrtle Sue Farley, on 15 September 1930 at Clovis, Curry County, New Mexico. William Wallace Erskine died on 2 August 1959 in San Francisco, California, at age 68.
