Funeral services were held at Oak Forrest Cemetery conducted by Rev. RM Holloway and Rev. JW Henry.
Surviving Mr. Bagwell are his children, RE Bagwell, Itha Bagwell, Gilbert Bagwell, Oliver Bagwell, JW Bagwell, Sam Bagwell, Aretemous Bagwell, daughters Mrs. TJ Mulin, and Georgia Dodson. 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren four sisters, Saranah Ferguson, Mrs. BF Lowry, Mrs. Joe Gammell and Mrs.BE Holloday. Also a host of nieces and nephews survive.1 He was buried at Oak Forest Cemetery, Randolph, Pontotoc County, Mississippi.1

Their household included: Levi L Spence, age 53, married twice, currently for three years, born in Georgia to a father from Georgia and a mother from South Carolina, a post master; Alice A, age 33, married twice, currently for three years, two living children of three born, assistant post mistress; Grady, age 11; and Hermon J, age 2.
Alice was appointed postmaster of Ball Ground on February 20, 1922. Her husband had served as postmaster since 1907. Alice served until June 1926.
Alice remained in Ball Ground until the 1940's. In 1940, she was living there with her 32 year old son, Herman J Spence, who was a lawyer in private practice. By 1945, she and her son Herman and his wife were living in Pinellas County, Florida.1 She was buried at H. Warren Smith Memorial Cemetery, Jacksonville Beach, Duval County, Florida.1
