     Edgar Frederick Bagwell Jr. was born on 29 July 1952. He was the son of Edgar Frederick Bagwell and Ella Cain. Edgar Frederick Bagwell Jr. died on 2 August 2025 in Piedmont, South Carolina, at age 73


Edgar "Ed" F. Bagwell, Jr, born on July 29, 1952, left us too soon on August 2, 2025. Though his time with us was brief, his impact was profound and will be cherished by those who knew him.

Ed was a simple, humble, and quiet man. He found joy in the little things in life, and while he often kept to himself, his voice would rise in cheer for the Clemson Tigers during their games, donning a special outfit that showed his spirited support. He embodied love for his family, building a house next door to his parents so they could be close. As they aged, he made the selfless decision to sell that house to be even nearer to them, cooking meals and spending treasured evenings by their side.

He was a proud founding member of True Christian Fellowship Church in Westminster, SC, where he found solace in song and community. Ed loved to sing in church, his voice resonating with the warmth of his character, filling the space with love. In addition to his faith, he found peace in gardening and watching his beloved hummingbirds flit about.

Above all else, Ed’s heart was centered on his family, especially his mother, Ella. He took great pride in caring for her, demonstrating a love that was deep and unconditional.

Ed is survived by his sisters Vicki Jewell and Susan Chappell, his nieces and nephews Sommer White, Kasey Holcombe, Brandon Jewell, Lauren Burkette, Nicholas Peluso, and Tyler Wood, as well as many great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Frederick Bagwell, Sr., and Ella C. Bagwell, a brother, Chuck Bagwell, and a niece, Mikel J. Bailey.

Ed's life, though short, was filled with love, dedication, and moments that will remain in the hearts of many. He taught us the beauty of simplicity and the importance of family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and tenderness. His memory will live on through the love he shared and the lives he touched.

     Linda Elizabeth Link married Mitchell Wayne Bagwell, son of Edgar Frederick Bagwell and Ella Cain, on 19 December 1981 at Leon County, Florida.

     William Eugene Jewell was born circa 1946. He married Vicki Lynn Bagwell, daughter of Edgar Frederick Bagwell and Ella Cain, circa 1997. William Eugene Jewell died on 12 March 2003.

     Emerson Govnor Morton was born on 4 July 1912. He married Eddie Mae Bagwell, daughter of Tandy Walker Bagwell and Elizabeth Della Freeman, before 1940. Emerson Govnor Morton died on 1 June 2003 at age 90.

     Carl William Bagwell was also known as William Carl Bagwell. He was born on 29 April 1920 in Carnesville, Georgia. He was the son of Tandy Walker Bagwell and Elizabeth Della Freeman. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Carl William Bagwell married Helen Louise Adkins before 1947. Carl William Bagwell died on 24 December 1967 in Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina, at age 47. He was buried on 26 December 1967 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.
