     Ross N. Bagwell was also known as Reams Bagwell. He was born in May 1942.1 He was the son of Glenn Zander Bagwell and Lorena Lewis.1 Ross N. Bagwell married Pamela Jane Smith on 14 July 1963 at Elizabethtown, Illinois. Ross N. Bagwell lived in 1992 in Dover, Tennessee.1 He died on 4 July 2021 at age 79

Reams 'Ross' Bagwell, age 79 of Big Rock, TN went to be with the Lord July 4, 2021. He was the son of the late Glynn and Lorena Lewis Bagwell. Ross was a lifelong farmer who was dedicated to his family and friends. He served many years on the Montgomery County Co-Op Board and the Stewart County Soil Conservation Board. Ross enjoyed coon hunting with his buddies and was a PKC World Champion Coon Hunter. He was a member of Wyatt's Chapel United Methodist Church. As a young man, Ross was a member of the champion 1959-1960 Stewart County High School Rebel Basketball Team, president of the Dover Future Farmers of America chapter and later alumni advisor. He was an avid Austin Peay State University basketball and New York Yankee fan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant brother; Owen Bagwell.

He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 58 years of marriage, Jane Smith Bagwell, loving daughters; Lora Black (Chester) and Kanina Davis (Ken), precious grandchildren; Katie Black, Shelby Ross Black (Ally), Jenna Ross Davis, Kayle Davis, great grandchildren; Owen, Eloise, and Clayton.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Friday, July 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm and will continue until the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Edwards and Bro. Ryne Lee officiating. Burial will follow at the Bagwell Cemetery, Big Rock, TN. Those serving as pallbearers are Shelby Ross Black, Keith Earhart, Sam Harris, Dustin Kottong, Reuben Wyatt, and Terry Austin. Honorary pallbearers are Arthur Williams, Greg Spiceland, George Florez, Perry Knight, Edmund Terrell, Wayne Jackson, Dillard Wyatt, Larry Atkins, Lawrence Saunders, Bailey Heflin, Lawrence Koontz, Billy Givens, Mike Wilson, Carlos Lewis and the 1959-60 Stewart County High School Basketball Team.

Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.


He was buried on 9 July 2021 at Bagwell Cemetery, Indian Mound, Stewart County, Tennessee.

Mrs. Black was the founder of Black's Seafood Restaurant. She was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church and enjoyed her Arts and Crafts.

Surviving are her daughters, Tammy Seay and husband, Mark, Lisa Lyday and husband, Ricky, and Fonda DuPre and husband, Scott all of Easley; grandchildren, Faith DuPre, Joseph DuPre, Ashley Lyday Lappin and husband, Matthew, Michael Lyday, Dusty Trotter and wife, Ashely, and Alina Trotter Wright and husband, Robert; great grandchildren, Ashtin and Coleman Trotter, Bladen and Makayla Marchbanks, and Luke Lappin; and a sister, Brenda Gilstrap.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret Brown, Shirley Trotter and Teresa Fant; and a brother, Wayne Bagwell.

Easley, SC - Gerald Thomas Black, 69, of 150 Fish Camp Road and husband of Frances Bagwell Black, died Monday, July 7, 2008.

Born in Greenville County, a son of the late Lewis Thomas and Clovie Pearl Lewis Black, he owned and operated Black's Seafood Restaurant, a business started by his parents, until his retirement in 1999, at which time he began his own landscaping and construction business. He was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are: three daughters, Tammy Seay and husband, Mark, Lisa Lyday and husband, Ricky, and Fonda DuPre and husband, Scott, all of Easley; two sisters, Peggy Cooper and Ruby Crow, both of Easley; six grandchildren, Faith and Joseph DuPre, Ashley and Michael Lyday, and Dusty and Alina Trotter; three great-grandchildren, Ashtin Trotter, and Bladen and MaKayla Marchbanks; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3 PM, Wednesday at Jones Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Roger Couch and Rev. Clyde Gravley officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.1

She was born on October 15, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Mr. Clyde Evans and the late Mrs. Ima Jewell Couch Evans. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia. She retired from Douglas County School Transportation as a school bus driver with thirty years of service. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved bowling. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Bagwell, daughter, Cathy Sue Bagwell, son Danny Edward Bagwell, sister, Mary Frances Camp, and a brother, Johnny Evans. She is survived by a daughter and son in-law, Cindy and Wandel Bragg of Douglasville, son, Randy Bagwell of Douglasville, sisters and brother in-laws, Ruth Fretwell of Buford, Georgia; Ann and Raymond Long of Douglasville, Jean Dukes of Bill Arp, Verna Evans of Douglasville, and Patricia and Collis Spivey of Douglasville, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 4:00PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating.
