Reams 'Ross' Bagwell, age 79 of Big Rock, TN went to be with the Lord July 4, 2021. He was the son of the late Glynn and Lorena Lewis Bagwell. Ross was a lifelong farmer who was dedicated to his family and friends. He served many years on the Montgomery County Co-Op Board and the Stewart County Soil Conservation Board. Ross enjoyed coon hunting with his buddies and was a PKC World Champion Coon Hunter. He was a member of Wyatt's Chapel United Methodist Church. As a young man, Ross was a member of the champion 1959-1960 Stewart County High School Rebel Basketball Team, president of the Dover Future Farmers of America chapter and later alumni advisor. He was an avid Austin Peay State University basketball and New York Yankee fan.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant brother; Owen Bagwell.
He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 58 years of marriage, Jane Smith Bagwell, loving daughters; Lora Black (Chester) and Kanina Davis (Ken), precious grandchildren; Katie Black, Shelby Ross Black (Ally), Jenna Ross Davis, Kayle Davis, great grandchildren; Owen, Eloise, and Clayton.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Friday, July 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm and will continue until the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Edwards and Bro. Ryne Lee officiating. Burial will follow at the Bagwell Cemetery, Big Rock, TN. Those serving as pallbearers are Shelby Ross Black, Keith Earhart, Sam Harris, Dustin Kottong, Reuben Wyatt, and Terry Austin. Honorary pallbearers are Arthur Williams, Greg Spiceland, George Florez, Perry Knight, Edmund Terrell, Wayne Jackson, Dillard Wyatt, Larry Atkins, Lawrence Saunders, Bailey Heflin, Lawrence Koontz, Billy Givens, Mike Wilson, Carlos Lewis and the 1959-60 Stewart County High School Basketball Team.
